k2039: Well am not an economist,Sanusi his, am sure he must have taken the best decision in the interest of the country(not that I like SLS)dude are u a nigerian or just pretending to be? Is sanusi going to tell u that he is doing it in the interest of few cabal? Obasanjos fuel subsidy removal was done in d interest of nigerians (increased pms frm 18 - 70naira) how has the interest affect nigerians today except hyper inflation? Ur uncle jonah too is following d foot step while he eat 1billion meal.. U forgot uncompleted uncle salusis cashless policy in a country where power supply and internet access is eratic..what abt bank closure that made thousands jobless ...they are all in d interest of d masses too? When are u people going to wake up and start asking dis dumb rulers questions? Talk of change! The only changes i wana see right nw is 24hrs electricity, clean and drinkable water frm my tap (not borehole), good motorable roads, easy and cheap internet access... And all that can be achieved with right policies not sum dumbb 5000naira note |
wrexs: For me,I dont see how this policy encourage or discourage corruption because Naira or $,they still share the money, but it pays the economy when they share in Naira...(my thought).ok look it at from dis angle.. Lets say a ghana must can contain one million naira (if the denomination is 1000) now how much will d same ghana must bag contain (if the denomination is 5000) u see dis policy is meant for only d politrician and those that stylishly steal and dine with d government.. How many students or a woman that all her investment is not even upto 5000 can flaunt such note did u noticed those that supported the policy? (otedola, dangote, adenuga).. And u tink such policy shouldnt be protested against? |
Heaven is on earth or probably mars so don't be afraid there will be enough food to sustain d body and soul... U know what I mean |
wrexs: This got me wondering how some people think...they never protest against corruption, like, calling for prosecution of obvious corrupt officials like Farouk Lawal, but would rather protest Policy by a Technocrat...I just wonder...na wah! This is d kinda policy that people like farook lawan feed on ...imagine farook bribe was paid in dollars but with dis kinda policy in place ..I guess he will receive his balance in naira instead |
greatgod2012: inasmuch as i dnt support d printing f this #5000 note, i also think carrying coffin around to show our dissaproval is uncalled for, its barbaric! Haba, nigerians, aren't we ashamed, hw many country have we seen carrying coffin to show their dissaproval for certain national decision taker by dir govt?Do we have to wait for the world to start something b4 we follow suit ....perhaps nigerians can start carrying d corpse of bad policy u never can tell d world myt follow suit |
mrrock: It's obvious there's a criminal motive behind the N5,000 note policy. Because majority of Nigerians already know this policy can only bring damage to the economy. So, how come the CBN claim it's for the good of the people when the masses is clearly against the policy?.Same question on mind ...it seems they want to inflate everything cos they know that nigerians hate coins and 5000note will make their loot bigger .... So at the end of d day mr Gej, NOI, and sanusi (the three musketeers ) can force more fuel subsidy down our throat |
acidtalk: I used to think Jonathan was Insane but I got to realize Fashola has totally gone MAD.I really don't see any big deal in what fashola did ..afterall he didn't force it down anybodies throat ( though am a fan of all fasholas policies ) The fact that students will start learning chinese doesn't mean they are gonna forget their local languages... .take french as an example ..I remebered in my secondary school days I learnt french and am sure its like that in most public school but how many people speaks french today especially thru what they learnt in their secondary school days... Let's just see it as one of those policies to encourage the chinese to invest more in lagos and nothing more |
The way they stopped FRSC from forcing new number plate down our throats... Who is fooling who? Useless government ...useless NASS mtcheee |
Frontline politician and former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu believes that Nigeria’s problems would only be solved when a southeasterner is given the opportunity to spearhead the affairs of the country. The Igbere-born business mogul in a recent interview disclosed that former president; Olusegun Obasanjo drove him and Atiku from PDP and completely out of political scene. He said: “South-east has not been fairly treated. That is why when I see some Igbo people say they are waiting for Jonathan to decide whether he would run or not, I look at them as very stupid. Nobody should decide for anybody. As far as I am concerned, it is either you give Igbo the presidency or nothing. “Almost 48 years after the civil war, you are telling people they are not entitled to rule Nigeria. Unless an Igbo man rules this country, the country would not be well. That is the truth because we are the salt of the nation. Whether you want to believe it or not, that is the truth. Anywhere you go in Nigeria and you don’t see an Igbo man living there, nobody lives there. So why don’t you give them the opportunity to rule their country? They have given Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, and Jonathan room to rule. Now is the South-east’s turn, it’s either the South-east or nothing.” On Jonathan’s Performance, Kalu says, “I will give the President the benefit of the doubt as he had said he would do most things and deliver by 2013. Let’s wait and see, though I have not seen anything in terms of concrete performance, especially in the areas of security and infrastructure. “The fundamental issue is the rule of law. Any president who wants to rule this country should respect the rules and give people justice. If there is no rule of law, there will be no society. The most fundamental issue in any good society for the people is the rule of law. A minister’s son who violates traffic law, for instance, should be penalized like any other Nigerian. Political armed robbers who took the country’s money should not be allowed to walk free”. “I know the national appeal is there,” he says. “I am going to play a leading role within my community to organize people for what Igbo are going to do. I wanted to be totally out of politics, but I’m going to sit back in my house and be part of their planning. “I will plan for them and give them to go and execute. Awolowo wasn’t a president but he was a very important man in Nigeria. I’m sitting back to help give the Igbo what they don’t have: planning. I’m going to reconcile those who are quarreling and get one of them to lead. We will get it right this time.” Kalu believes the the leaders; the candidates from the zone would emerge on their own. “But give me some months to be able to consult. The most important thing is the process that gets who would run for president. The president is just a by-product of unity. What I’m talking about is to kick-start the process. I have to go back to the drawing board, go back to the academics, traders, politicians, etc, and re-energize them to move forward.” “I’m not perfect, even Jesus Christ was not perfect. I’m human. I must have made several mistakes in Abia as a young man. I wasn’t 50 years old when I was governor. Today, I’m 50 and above. So I know more things that are right and wrong today.” Quote: “Why should I ask him to sell property to me? I was governor for eight years when they were doing privatization. This is a man I told that there was no need to sell government property. If I wanted to buy government property, I could have bought it. But it wasn’t my desire.” “I am going to play a leading role within my community to organize people for what Igbo are going to do. I’ll sit back and help give the Igbo what they don’t have: planning. I’m going to reconcile those who are quarreling and get one of them to lead. I’m not talking party politics now. I want to energize the base. What did yorubas gained frm obj = nothing what did hausa/fulanis gained frm yaradua = nothing. South south shouldnt expect anything special from jonathan.. He z d president of nigeria not south south.. May be dis will wake those zombies that vote based on sentiment up only time will tell |
Who will tell dis people that they are fighting lost battle? No one can fight against Nigeria forces and win ...even biafra forces tried and lost ...same as mend and may be OPC etc... North and their foot soilders(book haram) have nothing to gain but many things to loose ...someone talk to dis goats please |
Sounds like story to sell paper to me.. Buh if its true! Then that will be a self destruct botton for their ambition to capture aso rock.. Coz "people like me" will never vote 4 such party that form alliance with d devil.. America will never do sumtin that will not favor them. so if they support acn and they capture aso rock.. Then a wise person knws what might happen next.. He who pays the piper dictate d tune |
Lobatan ....north is going back to d dark age ...there greedy leaders cannot tame the monster they unleashed ... I think its right time we divide dis country .. So we won't be tag along with these animals ..am tired of being called a terrorist by those that knew nothing about Nigeria |
freecocoa: Okay no wahala for the sake of avoiding argument i will agree with you.Did they indicate the number of shops that got burnt? Shops around there were built close to each other ...so if its ten shops that will be obvious lie ....though the money may not be upto that but hey what does it change ? People are jobless now with families to feed |
freecocoa: I hear, the whole market was not burnt o, na part them talk and my dear forget the way the call figures anyhow in this country.U really don't have to argue what u knew nothing about ...ibadan happens to be one of those cities in nigeria that doesn't have proper town planning and no specific place for those that cook or sell foods .. A woman can be doing her cooking beside a bank or anywhere she likes .. The fact that the woman sells food there doesn't mean the area is meant for food sellers alone ...besides have being to d market, its one of the major markets in ibadan that deals mostly with electronics and irons ...though I don't know the level of d damage but I can't dispute the figure ...because a shop there can have upto 25million and above what of goods ...that's just it |
Message from Nigeria's First Lady on her sick bed in Horst Schmidt Klinik in Wiesbaden, Germany. "Fellow Nigeria, I am get well soon. It is the handwork of the opponent. They want me to die, so that they will collect my husband, I will rather commit suicide than to die. I am going to be alright, I will soon come to past so that I can come and visit Nigeria again. The Doctors in Germany are trying they are injecting me with fairly used drugs and I am working out. God bless everyone giving me a get well soon message, but for those people saying I will not come to pass, God is looking at you inside Aso Rock. The poison will soon kill them too. On behalf of the Doctors here I'm wishing my family quick recovery for me. |

ojukwu fought for biafra not nigeria.. He never did anytin in d interest of nigeria instead he fought against nigeria interest so why should he be on nigeria currency? If mandela had fought for the blacks alone and not the unity of black & white in southafrica, would southafrica be what it is today? if ojukwu had won d war, will nigeria still be existing today? Ojukwu is a biafra warlord and it will remain that way until naija seize to exist. simple |

ujchief: This peformance reminds me of chelski 2 seasons ago. Their first 5 games was fantastic, demolishing teams wit high score lines. At the end of the season, they ended trophiles and had to sack Anceloti.this season is different.. The players were old and injured unlike dis season with d arrival of young bloodz |
