Meet a 12-year-old boy who suffers from a mystery muscle-wasting disease, which has left him too frail to support his own body parts, India’s Madhya Pradesh state.
Mahendra Ahirwar’s neck muscles are unable to hold his head in place, meaning it constantly falls onto his right shoulder or his chest. In addition, his limbs have lost almost all muscle tissue, leaving him weighing just 16kg. His parents, Mukesh Ahirwar, 40, and Sumitra Ahirwar, 35, claim they have consulted nearly 50 doctors all of whom have not been able to diagnose the boy.

Travel / Re: How Many States Have You Been To In Nigeria? by amsoslim(m): 5:06pm On Apr 22, 2015
Olutola88:
I wonder if Nigerians travel around Nigeria just for the sake of Travel, Tourism & Adventure. I think the not good enough means of Transportation & fund hasn't been encouraging many to tour.

I just realized I'm as poor as many other Nigerians when it comes to Travel & Tourism. The funniest thing is that I'm from the Southwest, I reside in the Southwest & I've not been to all states in the Southwest *covers face*. Nevertheless, I know there are many Nairalanders worse than me *winks*

Tell us your 1. state of origin, 2. Your location & 3. The States you've been to in Nigeria.

For me:

1. Ogun State

2. Ibadan ( Oyo)

3. Ogun, Oyo, Lagos, Osun, Kwara, Rivers, Bayelsa

***Tribal bigots should kindly stay away from this thread. Moderators should please ban offenders till 1st Jan 2020.

Whether you are Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba, I don't care. What matters to me is your personality

Cheers
pls how much is bus fare from Enugu to lagos Any one can help out please

Popular Sekem crooner MC Galaxy has claimed that the HKN front man David Adeleke better known as Davido attacked him two days ago in Shizzi’s studio and he was badly injured.

According to the claim by industry source, MC Galaxy, Davido, B-Red, Shizzi, Davido’s driver, a guy named Lati and other HKN members were at Shizzi’s studio working and laughing when suddenly things turned ugly.

An eyewitness who claimed he witnessed the beat down said trouble started after MC Galaxy told B-Red that he (Galaxy) was more popular than him (B-Red). B-Red didn’t agree and they went back and forth. Then an HKN Gang member, who is a Ghanaian artist, told MC Galaxy that he was not funny as a comedian. MC Galaxy replied, telling him that he was an unknown artist, and they went back and forth yabbing each other. They said all of a sudden Davido came out from the studio and asked MC Galaxy to leave.

“David didn’t like that Galaxy was yabbing his boys and asked him to leave. Before Galaxy could react, David hit him on the back. Then his driver, Lati, took over, punching Galaxy and then hit him on the head with an Orijin bottle. B-Red didn’t touch Galaxy and Shizzi was...

Personally, I've always been fascinated by the rich cultural history of the Yorubas and Binis.

A few excerpts from James C. Lewis:

"This entire belief system in the Orishas was directly linked to the Yorubas of the Ifa tradition. Immediately I became inspired to do a photo series of each of the Orishas I had recently discovered.....it came completely as a surprise when the project went viral overnight.

As soon as I uploaded them on Facebook they took off like wildfire through dry fields of grass and the responses were overwhelmingly abundant. Most of the feedback was phenomenal, but as always you have those who feel the need to be super critical and just plain knit picky....

I wanted to portray the regal beauty of each Orisha while also representing their majestic sensuality. Each iconic depiction was rendered to lend strength to our resilience as a great race of people and to show our youth that they are beautiful, bold and brilliant just they way God created them to be.

To all critics of my artwork who feel that I have misrepresented, over-sexualized, over-modernized, mis-colorized or overall disrespected the Orishas I would like to draw your attention to my favorite phrase….”INTERPRETATION…MUCH LIKE THE BIBLE IS BASED UPON THE TRANSLATOR”. There is no wrong when it comes to an artist’s creative interpretation, one must learn to become fluid with your perception and open up your mind to what the creator of the work is trying to convey.

In no way, shape or form am I advocating the Ifa tradition, as I myself am not a practitioner of the faith, however I wish to shed light on our rich history in hopes that it will enlighten those who wish to dismiss our culture and heritage as merely rubbish. I am not the source of wisdom surrounding the Ifa Tradition as previously stated…I am merely the artist, however the door has been opened for you to research and learn more for yourself…Take that opportunity!"
so love the creativity in ur work of art....come to fink of it can't we have this work in form of an animated movie jus like the american version of thor or hercules?
