jham01: This govt is very poor in disseminating information. Since Jonathan administration, a data was taken and poorest households were enrolled by considering some criteria which includes mostly a house with no access to TV, Radio, Electricity, portable water, how dilapidated buildings the households are residing and many more. The previous govt's intention was not for the assistance program bt a data taken to know the poverty index in the nation in collaboration with UN and when this govt came with program to assist poor people they used the data since it is the best way to facilitate the payment. They give them N10k/2 mnths with 26 beneficiary states. The program is called Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) facilitated by National Cash Transfer Office (NACO). However, Nigeria is extremely corrupted some states might have already replaced the actual beneficiaries with their relatives or political allies bt some states are really trying. Most of the beneficiaries are residing in villages that's why they give them cash payment to avoid opening accounts burdens and bank charges out of the little they receive. It's hard to know if the program is running bt I came to knw abt the program when I started working with bank and I attested that it's really going on. |

Before the Corona virus, there was already a scheme by the federal government in conjunction with the World Bank where 5k per month were disburse to the poorest in some selected state of the federal.
So government just continue disbursement to them this time because it was put on hold due to lack of finance.
Niger state, Cross River, borno state, ekiti state to mention but few are already on this scheme.

They are now introducing us to be eating Process food. People are gradually turning leaf from our natural source of food and see those who depends more on them as poor. Really hope our immune system still stronger like in the older days okoroemeka: my thoughts are going towards what you are saying infact if you look at the covid19 casualty figures you will see that sub Saharan Africa is not even up to 1%,why is it so?or has the virus not entered Africa?if you look at the history of Africa during the colonial era,the west African and Congo basin was called the white man's grave due to the mortality rate of white men when exposed to the tropical climate and insects, but the black man has lived happily with this disease carrying insects and has developed natural immunity for most diseases that are lethal to the white man.the casualty figures from China, italy,Spain and now America is disheartening, but the black man has been vaccinating itself naturally over hundreds of years by eating any type of bush and wild animal it lays hands on,and bats has been on the African menu for hundreds of years. |

You can go and study details of CBN intervention fund. Interest rate dropped from 9 percent to 5 percent for both companies and families Love your maturity so far Cherez: Bros, please in the name of GOD stop this thing naaaaa. Honestly, I'm not here to insult you or sth but don't make it seem so. Bros, these breweries produce their alcohol themselves from rice, sorghum & co. and yes can do so. They have the facility to do so I also have an Intel that NB PLC & Diageo have offered to support with this production.

TB is not COVID-19, what do you mean I have Intel. That's how you go about giving fake facts. Test kit of corona virus as donated by JACK MA and few already from WHO and others procure from the government. Please stop misleading people that TB test kit are used for Covid19 test too Cherez: Oga, FG isn't supporting any state currently to mount isolation centres. Show me proof, even the ones in Lagos are funded by banks like GTB & co. Even Sanwolu is showing activity more than PMB. Bros I have Intel that a TB test kit can be used for COVID-19 test (https://www.healthpolicy-watch.org/new-covid-19-rapid-test-approved-for-genexpert-tb-platform-could-pave-way-for-more-testing-in-low-middle-income-countries/) but bureaucracy with govt is stalling this. Which test kits did you say are being made available? Can you show us a pics of at least 10 or even 5 testing stations in the whole of Nigeria? Bros, wake up |

How would you call Nigeria breweries diageo of Guinness Abinbev or distilleries as pure producers of ethanol or alcohol. Alcohol is their raw material as they mix it at certain percentage to what they produce. Ethanol or alcohol as spirit for sanitizer are produce from raw material like cassava or sugar which the company I mentioned before are into. Beer producers don't fall under that category Mr Cherez: Guy, nawaooooooo! Should I reply this or what? Oga, there are lots of alcohol companies Nigerian Breweries, Diageo, ABInBev, and other distilleries that can produce sanitizers as we are talking. Govt can promise these companies 150% of the cost of every sanitizer they produce now free to the appropriate govt agencies in tax holidays. Imagine sanitizers of 500ml is sold at N3,000 and who knows how many fakes are in town. But if got partners with these companies sanitizers of 500ml can sell for N1,000 and you'd be sure you bought sanitizers and not fakes. Who is talking about drawing foreign investors See, bro when people are talking or events are happening, before you support anyone as you're supporting govt now the no well. If Nigeria gets better its for all and if bad for all. Out of 7, you could only delve into one and you didn't even understand it |

On number 4 what policies do you need again when various state government are setting up isolation centers in collaboration with the federal government, while competent test laboratory across the country are approved for testing as test kit continue to be made available. Competent Lab have to be identify because you don't just give any one to do the test of Covid19 as it is a special virus inorder to avoid conflicting results. Cherez: What policy? Bros, can we debate on this? There is no single policy on ground except social distancing which people have been doing on their own. 1. What policy to draw alcohol companies to produce sanitizers? 2. What policies for atleast manual ventilators or makeshift tests? 3. What policy to companies to produce facemasks, and other PPEs? 4. What policy to test a certain group of people, isolate and quarantine them? 5. What policy to ensure daily-job people have food to eat in the 2weeks window or even more if it lingers? 6. What policy to stop or reduce interest rates on loans as businesses are shut down and can't run to repay loans? 7. What policy to sustain in the oil price drop with this economic lockdown? 8. What policy for rent, and other utilities? Will I be able to run on post debited power if this lingers? 9. Any makeshift home for the homeless? I just watched that presidential update with so much worry Answer these questions oga and you will know we are in deep shit |

Let start with number 1. What do you mean by draw alcohol company. Do you mean attract company that produce ethanol? Because alcohol which is commonly called Kai Kai or sapele water is produce locally already. At this convid time even if you have fantastic policies to attract investors no investor is investing presently in the world. That is why we are presently facing global recession. We have companies in Nigeria producing ethanol or alcohol and example is Unikem or Unicane Industry Limited. So government around the world now concern is about curtailing the virus not setting policies of attracting investors. 4. The money would be centralized by a tax Force and the donors pledges this money which in a way I think they can ask for Accountability as they release their pledges to ensure the money is going to the right source. That I believe, because most of them are business men and cooperate organization. So they don't just throw money to government and sleep. Mind you pastor Eneche donation in 1 billion naira worth material not cash. That's how some others follow though not all. God bless Nigeria!!! otuekong1: I think money donated will be looted, why can't the donors just partner with banks and share the money to Nigerians or better still buy nose mask, hand gloves and sanitizers and then distributes it Can the fg account for the money received ?? |

If political parties depends on donations to build Secretariat, employ staffs and carry-out other financial commitment. But when it comes to using that same donations donated to them for a very serious pandemic we found ourselves now. They now become Non profit Organization. It doesn't fit Wallade: There is no basis for asking political parties to donate funds to support efforts against Covid-19, they are Not For Profit Organizations.
Political parties depend on donations too for survival. |

That's the point, when people always criticize and do nothing. Sometimes you have to ask them what's is their direct productive contribution to that which they criticize where it's practicable feasible to contribute in situations like this. samwash: Na wa for nigerians oooo !!! What has party got to do with Corona virus donations ? The government irrespective of who's party is in power has to protect it's citizens. In the times & period of Corona pandemic, if you listen & watch international channels, the Whites are not politicizing any thing or rather using it to campaign in order to gain vote. They are not even criticizing their government. |
