Amen and Amen to your prayers.
koffsman:
This virus has been in existence for long to me it's a man made virus because the virus is not airborne so it's someone somewhere that is controlling things because the virus didn't leave the lab on its own GOD should just save us. My theory some people somewhere are playing God and time will tell. my prayer is that we don't fall a victim of there evil conspiracy
quote author=AmTruth post=88055818]You are right and hopefully manageable sickness than corona where you would not be required to use respirator and all connected tubes that might not be accessible if situation gets worst.
It's even said that the Corona virus dead body is not accessible to Family but a property of NCDC to dispose. The issue associated to this virus is never near to my liking.

Talking about the present situation is like life and death place before you. You could manouevre hunger for a while but with COVID-19 associated experience if your immune is not strong or not having opportunities to be taken care of. Then the experience will be terrific.

God bless Nigeria!!!
saaron:
Don't decieve yourself. Food is a basic need for survival. Show me a sick and hungry man and I will show you a dead man. If you're sick, don't eat food. Lets see whether you'll survive.
Remember, a hungry man is an angry man.

I understand you, but the suggestion you gave can't easily happen in the immediate. While waiting for that from the government if only it would happen. I think handling both sickness and hunger will be a terrible experience
koffsman:
Hummmm handling hunger, if you have been hungry before you will understand the word " Hunger" the best way the government can help is by finding a means to have food prices reduced because if it's ordinary garri some people have at home they are happy with it than having nothing but as per attacking the rich no gain in it because it's either it leads to death or jail time
PoliticsRe: COVID-19 Lock Down: It's Easier to Handle A Hungry Family Than A Sick Family by AmTruth(op): 11:39am On Apr 03, 2020
My concern is that even if you attack by going out and not staying safe at the end, handling the sickness associated with the virus would be a worse experience than handling the hunger.
IduNaOba:
For your mind abi.
Wait until people get pissed and attack the rich.
You think hunger is a joke

Some Nigerians across states of the Federation are coming hard on their government on reason that they must not shut down the state because their priority now is about food and economy which is understandable but not really about the spread of corona virus in allowing their State border within or without open.

The initial case was why did the federal government failed to close the border(Lock Down) both air and land? That everywhere must be closed.
All nations across the world had initial challenge in closing their boarder hence all were attacked by the Corona virus which Nigeria is not an exception to such move.

Those who were agitating that boarder must be closed(Lock Down) and blame the Federal government can now calmly understand by the reason of still them, now telling their State government that the State must not be locked down.

The Question now is this, You told the Federal government that they must Lock Down to prevent the spread or disease and now you are telling the State government not to Lock Down because you don't Care about the spread of the virus.

Reasons you are resisting the Lock Down from State government are majorly partly reasons the federal government also delayed international lock down.

Some would ask,had it been the federal government lock down early enough the virus would not have come in? But we know certainly cry that would ravage the media had it been the Short down was done early enough.

Questions like why shutdown in depriving investors coming in and causing hardship to business activities, in short some would even tribalize it by saying it's because most of our people want to come home that's why they are shutting down. Do they want people to die there. Is it not better to die at home? Ah they are depriving people to come to their father Land. In short this is Wickedness and so on and so forth.

The Truth is that the Virus is here with us today.
We have to accept the lock down within our state if truly our priority is to mitigate the spread as our concerns before when the federal government delay lock down of our international border.
We know it's not easy, so we should not change our priority from the spread of the sickness to the present concern now of the economic or food.

I tell you the truth, it would be worse, handling both the crisis of Food and Sickness. Inasmuch as it's not easy I admonish us to bear this little while.

Because it is easier handling a hungry family than to handle a sick family.

Just close your eyes and imagine the suspension of constitutionally Elected government officials by President Buhari just like governor Wike did and tell me the result that would be flying in the media and you.

I support the lock down but why suspension of constitutional Elected local government chairman. I actually voted during that election. And I must say the action in suspending constitutional Elected government officials is very very wrong by the governor.

People recovery would make it earlier for the lock down to be lifted. So my friend this is the type of news we care about.

Everyone has his own style of leadership, Trump we know is a media guy and his showing off in the media daily is his lifestyle and that has been before the virus's outbreak.

So showing off on media to dish out information on frequent bases is the responsibilities of the health expert and the tax Force appointed by the President. They are doing their job.

The President only address when he finds it needful and he is just doing that .
Most times leaders have boardroom planning before execution and it makes critic believe it is because of their criticism that result to the execution. It's not always so

That's why sometimes you see someone's Comments online and conclude that he just spoke your mind. So that is how it is even amongst critics and the criticized.
Cherez:
The president has a lot in his hands? What does the president do? Can you compare him with Trump who combines both internal & world issues?
See a pic of Trump's presentation today, Bros can we stop giving reasons for mediocrity?
Go and read history of Winston Churchill & other leaders, they kept updating their people directly.
Now you claim N11m is being shared, how are they sharing it? What demographics is the redistribution based on?
Can the president publish an account of this project?
He ought to have media chats and get questioned. How would he harness ideas of the great Nigerian people when he rules like an autocrat.
Oga, a leader should get close to his people
One of the media he shut out of the villa or which one?
CNN has finished Trump but they still attend his media chats and he allows them answer questions though he bullies them sometimes.
Guy, watch documentaries of WW1 & 2, US history and their leaders and you'll understand what leadership should be.
I can't wait for Osibanjo or Makinde to ascend that seat and you'll see class.
Common video to his superiors, General Adeniyi was redeployed.
A soldier of such morale and bravery?
Imagine the president visited them and saw their ordeals first hand, you think things won't change for better if the president has conscience?

Certainly where there is a need for financial assistance the President would always come in.

Remember the bailout given to State when they could not pay salaries. So this can't be an exception.

As I said it would be draining to expect federal government to give you everything details by details at once.

As things continue to unfold more policies or information would be given out. You can't expect govts to give you everything at once..

Meanwhile it's nice always reminding the government through objective criticism like what you are doing.
Cherez:
I disagree with this cos policies also goes alot with funding and prolly enforcement.
And in Nigeria the FG has alot of power over the state and the FG controls almost all state resources directly.
If LASG says no movement but Ogun says not so, what happens at the inter-state federal roads?
The FG is in control of the sovereign wealth fund, NNPC, NLNG national investments and can request for emergency cashouts which is like a reserve.
How many states aside Lagos & Kano can fund the cost of this COVID-19 pandemic fight?
PoliticsRe: What Has PDP Donated To Nigerians As A Party In This COVID-19 by AmTruth(op): 7:50pm On Apr 01, 2020
My bro, the President have more than a thousand things on his list. And it would be draining to expect them to be updating every single thing.

In respect to the drive to reach people, the media is there not only to share gossip and rumours sometimes. But to share information from govt, I am a common citizen like you we can also share reliable information we get.

Reaching people are from different angles, hope you are already aware of the 11 million vulnerable been receiving 20k,so for the enlighten like us I expect we use this medium to apply first then we can now complain that we apply and we're not given.

Even in US not every citizen will get the bail out.
Cherez:
See Bros, my question is what are they doing to curb this?
Now they rolled out a policy to claim they've done sth now how is CBN implementing it?

So families should apply?
How many poor people knows what CBN is? Where is the drive to actually ensure people know about this and how to apply?
At the end of this, fellow big men will steal those monies.
This is why the president needs to give daily update in how these programs are run and the media can ask questions or even bring events to his notice.
