tombraokoto: And who told you igbanke people of Edo state are igbos? So cos someone bears an igbo or igbo-like name automatically means they're igbo? Sometimes I wonder the way the brain of an average igbo man or woman is wired.
Don't you think it could be as a result of the trade or contact they had with the igbos that make some of them bear igbo names? Ikwerres, Ukwuanis, Aniomas, Ogbas, Igbankes, Ekpeyes, Ahoadas and majority of some these people refer to as igbos are not igbos but trace their origin and ancestry from the Binis or they're a distinct ethnic group of their own.
The fact Spanish and Portuguese names have a lot of similarities does not make them the same. The fact Australian, British, English Canadians, New Zealanders or Americans have some similarities doesn't make them the same.
P.S learn to respect the distinction in other people's language and tribe. This is why 90% don't like your tribe. What's the essence of trying to annex these distinct ethnic groups? So you can lord over them? Oga igbanke people are Igbo and the original name is Igbo akiri ...akiri are sub set of Igbo just like you have obigbo in river obi Igbo and Igbo eze in Enugu ..that's settled ...their names and culture also is Igbo..that's not also debatable.. Their language is also Igbo Bow come to Spanish and Portuguese.. They are basically of the same language group known as Latin or do you still want to debate that ..they are collectively called Iberians ....just like Iceland ,Sweden and Norway are called Norse or Scandinavian ..the same way igbanke ,ikwerre, ezza, agbo, nnewi et AL are called Igbo(id) Let's even assume that they trace their origin to Benin how come the lost Benin language which is just Stine throw away..yet Australians, New Zealand trace their origin to Britain which is continent apart and thousands kilometer apart still spike English I think your ignorance is superb...thank me for this crash course on basic common sense |

senior123: That is so narrow and I think Igbos are just selfish. Even the Yorubas are not happy are constantly applying for decentralization of power in nigeria. I am for that not breaking up. Stop being selfish please. Everyone from middle-belt to Yoruba has been suffering northern oppression in this country.
One Nigeria is not about only about oil. Most Importantly about the religious distribution of states. If Igbo goes then Nigeria is pre-dominantly muslim. Nobody wants that Yoruba will go and Middle belt will go. It will lead to war and deaths of millions. Stop this please. If you want decentralize power it will help a lot.
It is either Decentralize power or North goes. How about us middle belts always classified as North, when we are north. We are used to get power but get thrown away when the northern allocation comes in. I am in pleatue I was discussing with a few Tiv men they referred how Hausa used them to fight civil war they are so regretting it one started crying .he tolde God is with Igbo and look at how far they have come back and look at middle belt how Muslim is killing them. It is now that I realise that you guys and Yoruba are using Igbo as check and balances ..but one thing is that you can stop and ideologists but you can't stop an idea If Igbo wants to go..it isn't by force to stay with you guys ...I think we are just tired.we don't need the presidency we need to be on our own |

Family › Re: A No Reception Wedding: How Feasible? Come In, Let's Discuss by AmuDimpka: 1:08am On Apr 02, 2016 |
bellong: Which church in Ilorin?
That is one of the cheapest places to organise a wedding. I had my wedding in Ilorin.
If the church has a hall with seating capacity, liaise with the pastor of the church to conduct the wedding in the hall rather than the church auditorium. This will be easier for you to entertain your guest in their immediately after the joining ceremony.
Buy your cow at Kara market along Ajasse-ipo road or the one at oke-oyi. Get the bag of rice, pepper etc from this market around Baboko.
buy drinks directly from cocacola depot, you can arrange that they ice it for you.
Organise your friends/relatives to take charge of the serving making sure that everybody present gets food and drink. Here, coordination and orderliness are key to make stuff go round.
Get to know what your parents inlaw are contributing to the wedding (ideally, the bride's family takes care of the reception with contribution from you). Have a meeting with your family especially parents to inform them of your limited budget and they should be ready to take care of excess invitees on their part.
After the wedding, book a three night at Bishop smith guest house or any other hotel and go directly from the wedding to the place. Don't go home as some visitors will throng your house and you will have to entertain them which is additional cost on your part.
If you have any other question, you can ask. It is doable and the 500k is enough if your inlaw are in agreement with you.
Meanwhile, don't fix wedding during fuel scarcity period, else you ruin your own budget. I wish you well. 500k is too much ..you can buy your wife a small car with that Just buy a suit your wife rent a gown.. Don't print card ..tell your family members only ..very few of your friend Don't rent hall..wed in church or registry they are cheaper and more legal Buy a bag of rice Go to abbatoir buy like 40k meat If you are expecting like 30 people which is too much buy beer and malt 5 Crete's 100k your good Safe the rest ...advise from a married man ... |

jubebaister: My landlady woke me me up with a knock. I opened. She told me she's sick. That if she stays 2 days without sex, that she normally faints. I was like, I'm I a doctor?
Imagine that.. She said her husband travelled, so she needs sex urgently otherwise she wil faint in my house. I didn't want her to faint. I asked her to go pls. Me no want trouble. Beside her story is not convincing. But I had a 2nd thought when she wanted to fall down I held her to lift her up. She started crying, kissing me, I responded.
We ended up making love. But I made sure I licked her puccy dry before doing the real thing so that she won't forget me. She confessed her husband hasn't done that to her before. She had been eyeing me though.
I was shocked when she told me it's April Fool. Gush. I felt like crying that I have been used. I felt dirty. But what she did next cleared all the guilt from my mind.
She went to her apartment, and brought a cheque of 50k for me. I was so happy. She said I shouldn't tell anyone in the compound to avoid gossip.
I'm so happy. Though I won't do that again with her. You must be a Yoruba man....they are the type that don't find it bad sleeping with people wives....you have slept away your destiny |

FlyboyZee: In Netherlands, do they take money from one region and share to other regions? Or every region, every community, plans, generate funds and use same to develop itself and provide facilities it requires and solve problems that arise?
If your answer to the first question is in the opposite and the answer to the second is positive, then that is the problem we have in Nigeria. And until that problem is solved/resolved, we will continue to be in the doldrums as we head south... Yes they don't do that in Holland but bayelsa has been given so much yet they have so little to show for it....bayelsa is basically a disgrace That's the truth |

Great men built Lagos. were allocations not given to others states? Why is Lagos' cases distinct? Lagos like and accommodates any person with a creative mind. A region of society develops because they have good human resources and not because of oil. Biff till the kingdom comes, Lagos BELONGS to Yoruba's and it's always a strategic city. Just negodu ..were Lagos not firmer capital city Were allocations not given to osun state and ekiti Awori said that they are not yoloba Egun has made it clear and we have respected the fact they are not Yoruba Maybe you would claim Creole now Go back to your states.osun ekiti and oyo are Yoruba Leave Lagos alone |

Olabestonic001: You must really believe your self delusions so much sir. Do you see what Willie Obiano is doing in Anambra? I know folks like you will one day say that Anambra was built with Federal Allocation if Nigeria resorts to to true federalism. Honestly, people like you are heavily confused and believed their lies so much that it sound true to themselves only. Do you know Mobolaji Johnson? The man that built most cities in Lagos? What of Samsondeen Lawal? or Lateef Jakande? What of Gbolahan Mudashiru? What of Raji Rasaq? Do you know Ndubisi Kanu? All these men built Lagos and not such phantom oil money. These were men who built one thing or the other in Lagos state. Your claims that Lagos is built of oil is delusional, naive, malicious and bitter-full. Lagos is a strategic, progressive and blessed land. Like it or not, Lagos is the heartbeat of Yoruba land and no blackmailing or it's brothers would change it. It's no more Ibadan or ife...Na wa .such a no man land even the awori and egun who owns Lagos said they are not Yoruba even tapa peeps Tomorrow gwari people will say they built Abuja Ife and Ibadan is heartbeat of Yoruba Lagos was built with oil proceeds not gbegiri ati ewedu money |

The first step is to sensitize our people. Re-awakening of our people should the first step, few of our people really know Nigeria is irredeemable. Most of our people don't know that the earlier we jump out of the sinking ship the better for us and our unborn children.
We need an online radio station based in abroad. We won't be insulting people like Kanu, we would only be sensitize our people. Our people really need to be told The Forced Marriage Will Never Work Till Jesus Cometh.
From there, we would move to the next stage having had the support of majority of our people. That's a copy cat Na..... |
