I have been dating a lady for a while now. we have had our good and bad moments together, this is the situation on ground. i just completed my NYSC in August this year and got a well paying job this month.My girlfriend is yet to serve, so in order for her not to be idle at home i was able to get a job for her around september with a salary of 50k (Note: i didnt take the offer then because i was preparing for my professional exams).

During the period while i was jobless, there was a time i was really broke, she told me she had no money only for me to find out a few weeks later that during that period she had 15k, i was really mad at her but decided to forgive her.

For the past 3 weeks she has been staying with me temporarily because she has accommodation issues. Even though i have not been paid, i have made sure she is comfortable. She was away from work for about two weeks last month, so she told me she was paid half salary because of it. i believed that. even with the half salary she was still using the money to buy clothes and other personal effects without even showing any form of appreciation through her conduct (like buying something for me also while shopping) for the assistance i have rendered so far.

We normally go back home together because our offices are close to each other. yesterday while we were going home, she discovered her phone had been stolen in computer village. prior to yesterday, she made me believe she was totally broke. i have been paying for our transport fare ever since.

This morning she said her mum sent her 2k and she wanted to withdraw the money. when we got to the ATM she shouted that her 18k had been withdrawn from her account. i was shocked because this is someone that told me she was totally broke. when i interrogated her further she said she was paid her full salary last month and not half as she earlier told me. i am so mad at her right now.

what will you do if you find yourself in my shoes plz

There are lot of info with me that give credence to that fact and I’m not going to start a lengthy essay to explain that. Ain’t the Igbos the one insulting Hausa Fulani only to backtrack and support Atiku a Fulani Muslim in the last election.

What most of you Nigerians call double mouth in politics is just absurd. I’m real politics there shouldn’t be bloc vote from a region. What is the beauty of democracy when everyone vote in a similar pattern? Even among ourselves the Yoruba state votes are actually almost 60/40 maximum and even in the last election Atiku got at least 40% of the vote casted. Do you mean voting without bloc means being double mouthed?

I’m happy that you said you will wish to be with the Igbos in a separate country. Good luck with that and I hope your tribe find succor and peace among them.

im not sorry that the Yorubas are tribalistic, we are actually living like a separate country within Nigeria. Our culture, music, economical sojourns, etc manifested to that fact because we’ve always seen that Nigeria will never be one.

I don’t even know how to defend the attitude of a few Yorubas and how you suddenly use that to judge a whole tribe. I asked the Yoruba wrongs against the middle belt and you told me it’s just coz of the culture of silence of the Yorubas against the travails of you guys in the hand of the core-north. Well I’m sorry but I don’t think anyone chose the Yorubas as the police or different ethnicities in Nigeria.

The Igbo seems to be your ally now because you have a common enemy and they also had the same culture of domination like the core north and even if you exist in the same country with them you will still be faced with the same issue. Just that it won’t be related to killings like the north has done.

The Yorubas actually done need anyone else coz we can stand on our own. We’ve been carrying out that experiment since 1914 and I think we can actually live independent of any group so you’re free to choose your allies.

You got it wrong about Awolowo tho about the northern minorities. Why he did that was not because of any revenge it’s just that he wanted each region to be even such that no region will dominate over the other in Nigeria in terms of number. There are numerous leaders in the middlebelt that wanted to be free of the north. If not for the Biafra war that Gowon led that placated the middle belt people, the middle belt would have broken from the north.

Oh lest I forget, I’m also a Yoruba Muslim like you guys love to call us. I don’t share that mindset of the people you met in the bus and I’m very sure numerous Muslim Yorubas don’t share that mindset also. Many people don’t even know there are lot of Christians in the north and we really have a culture of not caring to much about happenings in other areas (which could be a disadvantage to us tho). Why will I even discriminate when my mom is a practicing Christian and my dad is a Muslim cohabiting peacefully for over several decades.

Two of my brothers are Christians and the remaining of my sibilings are muslims and we celebrate both Christmas and Ileya at our house. You will definitely see this same scenario play out in several families across the south west. I’m very sure that MURIC president will also have a Christian in his family if you can dig deeper. It will be hard to see an extended family in Nigeria that won’t have an outlier or a different religion.

Because the Yorubas don’t see much of the religious divide made us blind to the atrocities in the North. Tbh I always think everyone in the north are Hausa and Fulani when growing up.

Well no need to apologise for your words,. I engage Igbos, Hausa fulanis, Yorubas and even Niger deltans here on this forum bitterly a lot of times because I stand for my people's interests and will do so more strongly in the future (in more physical forms).
My people are naturally a passive people in Nigeria and we must change this... Nigerians have proven themselves to be a dog eat dog people and society and my people must begin to radically play this game till this country disintegrates. No more sitting down to watch for us.
And as a leader for my people and one who knows so much about my people in respect to Nigeria's politics.... I have come to the conclusion that Hausa-fulanis are our biggest threat and enemies as a people, closely followed by you Yorubas (who do not mind supporting these Hausa fulanis, as long as it works to your interests).
Meanwhile, the Igbos are the best possible allies we can have in Nigeria, followed by the Niger deltans. ..

So expect more opposition from me and possibly others like me from henceforth.
