LuckyG1:You came to the conclusion that i don't know God in Himself. And now you want me to answer your question based on your assumed and of course false premise? mr pls ask me if i know God in Himself first. |
johnydon22:God is the basis of all human morality. He has placed in all men a law/ conscience that subconciously guides us in knowing what is right and wrong in our natural environment. I do not find it wrong for God to punish sin eternally. In short it is very right for God to do so going by who He is and what sin is. johnydon22:Ive answered this. Yes. And lol at "independent basis of morality" When there is God ? ![]() johnydon22:My God is not a minister of sin and Christianity upholds morality to its peak. The old testament was a symbol of the new. You wont understand that. johnydon22:huhuhuhuhu johnydon22:Everything that happened then was for a purpose and men do not deserve to live the next second. Your being alive, is because God is good and merciful not because you are good humanist or moralist. LOL. If God should judge you based on what you have done now, it is goodbye to you. johnydon22:And there you go. bla bla bla |
johnydon22:You don't get it. To sin is to rebel against God. And a direct affront to His Sovereignty! We are not talking of a creature doing harm to another creature but sin against the Creator. What right or power do we really have to harm people in the most gruesome way for a petty crime they committed? none. We are all at the mercy of God. And in God's eyes, we all fall short equally. You are viewing sin in a shallow way. Well, you are an atheist after all and as far as you are concerned sin is mere wrong doing and nothing much and therefore should be "merely punished" But look, sin is more than that. I will tell you why. Mercy is given to Him that ask! Sin causes men NOT TO ASK for mercy. When God said seek me and you will find me, He means everything that He said. That is the only way to find God is to seek Him. Now, the eternal punishment rests on those who will never ask God for mercy or seek Him. And since they will never do this, they will have to bear the consequences of never doing it. Is this logical? yes. God does not forgive men for nothing. Mercy must go with Justice and none will surpass the other. |
johnydon22:The bible talks of an everlasting punishment of sinners. And says they'll burn day and night, for ever and ever. If i understand that right, it is saying an unending punishment for sin. I don't know how that is going to happen but i know the bible does not teach annihilation of men's souls. Now, the bible says God is not pleased with the death of a sinner and it is not something i should rejoice over too. But God cannot compromise His standards which are borne out of His nature. Its either God compromises His holy nature and takes back His Word (which can never happen) or He stands by what He is: unchanging. |
johnydon22:As a christian, which is my first identity, i uphold what my God has said is right. And all my thoughts and opinions and beliefs are aligned to the word of God. And i live for His glory At 1st bolded. What i think can never supersede what is. If i think i will make an A in a course and i eventually make a B. Does it matter again that i thought i would score A? 2nd bold: Did i set the rule? The God that i serve is a holy God and cannot behold iniquity. And i noticed you think sin is an act. Not. It is the nature of all men as a result of the fall of Adam. Simply put, sin is not just an act but a nature. We are sin ourselves. When God says no to evil for ever, He is also saying no to evil doers for ever. |
johnydon22:Okay let me just say i didn't see the finite. Is it right? you asked. Who determines what is right? |
johnydon22:finite sin? pls where did you get that from? can you quote the passage in the bible where sin is described as finite pls? ![]() |
ayoku777:I was blessed to have a good leader, taught me how to listen to messages, taught me how to pray, how to give, how to go for evangelism etc Who causes us to listen/hear? not the general hearing of the word but a special hearing granted to born again believers. Is a believer not suppose tolong for the word because of the new spirit in him/her? Do you teach a child how to cry out when hungry? If prayer is communication with God, do you, as a believer need a man to teach you to pray and worst still how to pray? Is praying not supposed to flow freely? We are talking about a loving relationship between a Father and a child. The child haven found mercy and grace needs to be told by a man how to kneel before his/her father? and what to say at each point. Even how to give? i guess tithe and seed offering right? Or wait how to give to the poor? lol Oh evangelism! every Christian's calling right? LOL Please don't get me wrong, am not saying we should avoid the brethren or our leaders. For we need them all to grow. The leaders are suppose to guide us in line with the word of God and not give us rules and principles on how to follow it (the word). And the Holy spirit in us, who teaches all things, confirms them (all they tell us) in us. |
davien:am talking of eternal punishment and you are talking of nepal? pls stick to the topic ![]() |
logicman:If they don't go through THAT WAY then they'll all perish ![]() |
You read well. ![]() That is what it says. Jesus has claimed to be the only way to the father. It logically follows that all other ways cannot lead to the Father. ![]() |

Stay there. Don't go and work to earn. They only thing some people know is money money money. And when they hit it big through whatever means, they attribute it to God. Go and open your bible and read it loud if you can. You probably think Jesus and his disciples spoke so well about those who chase riches/money ![]() Maybe you mean another god, but definitely not the ONE of the bible. ![]() |
And one more thing you don't have the power to cast out demons neither do you know the time, when people should be set free. |
Men are such vile creatures. They would overthrow God if they could and enthrone themselves. You don't underestimate this evil nature. It can go to any length. This issue of blaming demons and strange spirits for man's trespasses and short comings has eaten deep into the Nigerian church system. Which is completely wrong. Men are guilty and responsible for whatever befalls them and they should not be excused. Am not saying demons can not have influence in our lives, and some do possess people but we know how their victims behave which is glaring to everyone. sonoflucifer is the product of his vilest nature let loose. |
OH MY GOD! |
This pretty sums it up: _________________________________ Tithes, a tenth of the land's crops production, were property of the Lord, to be used for the widows, the fatherless, and the stranger in the land - not just for the priests' sole usage. Tithes were supposed to be stored in a place commanded by God, to relieve those in need as well as to rejoice, when the families and servants of the contributors were to eat in celebration from the tithed foods, together with the priests. The priesthood of Aaron and the sons of Levi, which had commandments to take tithes from the people, died with Christ's sacrifice of himself, establishing Christ as the everlasting priest of an everlasting priesthood. So tithing died when the old priesthood died, when the Law died. Anyone who takes tithes is a false prophet, antichrist, and a deceiver; and anyone who continues to pay tithes is denying Christ's priesthood; both are subject to God's condemnation. Tithing died with the Levitical priesthood; the only places tithing is referenced in the New Testament is the claim of the self-righteous Pharisee , and the explanation of its death in Hebrews. The Apostle Paul instructed people to set aside funds from their excess, but that was to relieve the poor, particularly the large numbers of poor brethren in Jerusalem. Relieving the poor does not include supporting self-appointed pastors or to maintain an uncommanded temple or building. Jesus, Paul , and Peter all denied those who solicited money for preaching; and as Christ instructed his disciples: Freely (without pay) you have received, freely (without charge) give. Mat 10:8 . |
