Religion / Re: The "Small Sin" That Will Send The Most People To Hell-fire. by An2elect2(f): 1:36pm On May 24, 2020
Op I wish and pray that you would point people to the cross, so they can see that Jesus bore all their sins and that God is no longer angry with them but is calling them home. The whole world is tired and hopeless with this "self consciousness" gospel which is another gospel.

You may have good intentions but you are heavily misrepresenting God and making Him appear unholy and unjust. If a man owed you N5000 and his brother pays you on his behalf(even much more than he owed) and you go back to charge him for same money his brother has paid won't you be referred to as wicked and evil? or a thief? You do not realise that that is what you are ignorantly ascribing to God.

Jesus Christ bore the punishment for all our sins. Not one sin was left unpaid on that cross. We were debtors but one paid all our debts once and for all, not only that he earned so many benefits for us. The only reason people are perishing is because they really have no idea who Jesus Christ is and what He did on the cross. Many in this group are still trusting their moral abilities and their works and thereby unknowingly treating the full payment for sins by Christ as not enough or a common thing. A slap to God's Spirit of grace.

How did the church go from presenting to the world the graciousness and kindness of God through Jesus Christ to telling people they have to stop sinning to please God? Don't we know that is the goodness of God that leads one to repentance?

What made the prodigal son return to his father. His Father's goodness or wrath?

Only the gospel can turn the most rebellious person back to God.

The church must stop preaching from a natural human point of view of "doing good and then getting good",we must preach from God's view of " not doing good but getting good from God because one person has done good on your behalf" overtime this grace would transform one from the inside out.

Dpearlz:

Romans 6:1-2

What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound. God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Please can you also explain this portion of the bible?

Colossians 3:5-10 (Amplified).

5 So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God]. 6 Because of these [sinful] things the [divine] wrath of God is coming [a]on the sons of disobedience [those who fail to listen and who routinely and obstinately disregard God’s precepts], 7 and in these [sinful things] you also once walked, when you were habitually living in them [without the knowledge of Christ]. 8 But now rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, malice, slander, and obscene (abusive, filthy, vulgar) language from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old self with its evil practices, 10 and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self

Then finally,

1 John 2:1

2 My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action].

Thanks for your answers, I really appreciate them.
Good to see that you have interest in knowing the truth. I pray the Lord show you what you sincerely seek for.

I'll try to be simple in my explanation.

Formerly, we were slaves of sin and under the bondage of Satan, Ephesians 2:1-3. We served sin with (pls take note of these instruments we used in serving sin) our hearts, our minds, our wills and our strength, Matthew 22:37. These same instruments are the same that we would use to serve God's righteousness, Romans 6:12-26.

And what does it mean to serve? It means to be used by someone or something else. Which means this other person or thing would do his(its) bidding through your heart, mind, will and strength. You will be wine skin or cup while this person or thing actively pours wine into you.

But new wine needs new wine skins else the new wine would ferment and the old wine skin would burst. Mark 2:22.

When you were an old wine skin, you couldn't receive God's righteousness and holiness because you were weak. So God had to renew your Spirit. Birthed you by His Spirit. Now you are a NEW creature in Christ Jesus, where old things have passed away and all things have become new. 2Corinthians 5:17 The old you didn't just pass away by a mere wish, the old you was crucified with Christ on the cross. Nailed. Dead. This is the reality. The Word of God has said so, it is so. Galatians 2:20, Romans 6:8 No matter what you see, feel or experience. God's word has said that the old you that was a slave of sin died with Christ on the cross. So to God, the old you does not exist anymore irrespective of what you see or even believe. But you must believe it too if you want to make any progress in the faith. God cannot work through you until you come to see what He sees too. Can two walk together if they don't agree? Can you see the power of God if you do not believe that He has the power to cause you to walk uprightly before Him? Hardly.

The old you loved sin, the new you loves righteousness. The old you has passed on but the body of sin through which the old you sinned is still with you because you are still on earth(you have a new heavenly body that you would put on on the day of Christ). The new you delights in the law of God and wants to serve righteousness. The new you is inside of you and is moved by God's Spirit while the body of sin is outside and is moved by what it sees, feels, hears, touches.

Now there is a conflict between the new you and sin that dwells in your body but before I continue, let me say this; the new you is the real you and only you now before God. God does not identify you with sin anymore. You are now righteous, holy, blameless and perfect because of what Christ did. The law that inputs sin is removed, so no more guilt and more so, you are dead to sin and now married to Christ. As Jesus is, so are you before God. Whatever you feel does not count, only the facts count. You are Christ's now. You are called to live by faith in God's word which is the fact and not by what you see.

Back to the conflict. The Romans 7 conflict. Please read the whole of Romans 7 and if you will Romans 8. In Romans 7:17 notice how Paul disassociated himself from sin. That's the separation you must see. If you are truly born again, you would realise that inwardly you delight in righteousness(not self righteousness) but you still find yourself sinning. The real you which is the new you cannot sin because it is of God 1John 3:9, when you sin, it is not you but sin in your members. But these members belong to you that's why the sin is associated to you and can hinder your walk with God on earth. In spite of this, God does not record these sins because God no longer judges you according to your performance but according to the perfect work of Christ. Now, Satan who is the accuser of the brethren always goes before God to accuse us of sins committed. He charges God to record our sins but Jesus who is our defence lawyer or advocate always wins over Satan because He has paid for all our sins through His shed blood.

But why do you still sin? Because your instruments are still being used wrongly out of ignorance which is caused by wrong teaching and indoctrination. Which is why your mind must be renewed by the Word of God(rightly divided). Anything short of this is a recipe for disaster and would lead to a defeated righteous man on earth who never got hold of his members to serve the Lord.

The sin in your body wants to still be in charge of your mind, will and strength(It has lost you/heart/Spirit). The old you was its slave but the new you has been freed from it in Christ. Sin is conquered. Now you must render it powerless in your members, in order to use these members or instruments to serve the Lord.

How do you render sin in your members powerless, BY WALKING AFTER THE SPIRIT.

Walking after the Spirit is not law keeping or following traditions of men. In short these are the means by which sin obtains its strength and defeats you.

If you want me to explain walking after the Spirit feel free to mention me
Religion / Re: The World And The Backslider (It is not a WWE with sin) by An2elect2(f): 8:12pm On Mar 05, 2020
Amen Amen!!! Even when we backslide, it is the Lord that draws us near again. As we harken to the word, faith is being impacted in us to trust the Lord to mortify the deeds of our flesh and to bear fruits unto him.

The Word of God in 2Timothy 2:13 says If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. And I believe this. Once we are saved there is no more judgement for us because we were judged on the cross by Christ's death. So if a believer dies unbelieving, God still remains in him and the blood of Jesus Christ remains effectual(He is God's). But he would have no reward because he did not make use of the grace of God. 2Corithians 6:1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain
[/b]

However, one thing I am sure of is For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives. Hebrews 12:6

I get bored, trying to fake it
Jesus Christ is not called Lord for nothing, but many of us don't understand this because we have been taught wrongly all our lives. Lord implies that he has the power to save us from every trouble, every stress, worry, anxiety, depression, every sin and even from yourself but we don't know how to access this power in Christ. Even if you have the holy spirit in you, you won't be free from the troubles of this world until you come to understand why Christ is called the saviour and all the power God has put in Christ to deliver His own not just from the wrath to come but from the power of sin and the troubles of the flesh.

This same Christ told his disciples that he would give them peace not as the world gives peace. This same Christ is our rest. Which implies that we have ceased from our works or efforts in pleasing God. You can't please God by worrying or trying your best or keeping the law. One person has done these perfectly and has borne our troubles through his wounds, and death. You can only please God by believing on Jesus Christ and then the joy, peace, wisdom, life, health, fruits of the Spirit would be poured on you. However, you must believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten of God the right way, the bible way. Many believe wrongly so they remain fruitless or unsaved.

So how do you believe rightly in order to be saved and to receive all the spiritual blessings in Christ and to have all your needs in this world met without having to be anxious anymore like the people in the world?

It is by hearing the gospel of grace preached which is the gospel of Christ and Christ crucified. This gospel is the only gospel that can can save, and continue to save us from all our troubles till we depart this world. This gospel is hated by Satan and he works tirelessly to hide this gospel not only from the lost but also from those who are already saved. Because on hearing who Christ is, the price he paid for us to have life and peace in this world God impacts faith in our hearts to believe. And at that moment when Jesus is magnified in your heart and you really see what he has done for you and how much he is willing to show you grace you would be delivered. Its by faith, and the just shall live by faith. The more you see Jesus, the more grace you receive from God.

Listen to gospel of grace preachers on YouTube like Joseph Prince, John MacArthur, John Piper. Especially Joseph Prince. Listen to his sermons on the gospel of grace. Harken and God would give you faith to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't know Jesus Christ the way the average person knows Him, know His power and be saved and continue to be saved.

There are very few ministers that preach the gospel of grace, because the wicked one is working tirelessly and blinding eyes.

Religion / Re: Do You Believe In The trinity - Why Yes, Why No? by An2elect2(f): 12:31pm On Feb 09, 2020
Sukersoc:
I have found the doctrine of the trinity very confusing and I'm not alone it seems. Many proponents and opponents alike appear to be equally confused about the doctrine itself.

Proponents will often say, God is a mystery as a way out of the Trinity debate. By the way, majority of Christianity are believers in the trinity of God.

The Bible it seems though, overwhelming teaches that there is only one true God the Father, and that the Father is greater than the Son. There are offcourse a few scriptures which appear to lend credence to the Trinity.

Thus I wonder, Why is the majority of Christainity insistent on a doctrine that is so clearly debatable and difficult to prove even from the Bible?

Can you tell us if you believe in the Trinity, why, and if not, why not?
It's confusing because it is not biblical or logical. Its a left over of pagan doctrines that some Christians are scared to let go. Its no wonder because the Roman catholics who fully developed the strange doctrine threatened and ostracised those that rejected it. The devil through his ministers craftily imposed it on the church and made it an essential doctrine.

Many are scared that the moment they reject the trinity, they would in turn reject the deity of Christ so the blindly accept it even when there is no such thing like that in the bible.

There is just one God, the Father as the bible rightly proclaim and this same God became like man(Son of God), His creature to bring us into His glory and to partake of it. So Jesus is God in bodily form that came to reconcile us unto Himself.

There is no mystery of 3 persons in one God, the mystery is God coming in the likeness of man 1 Timothy 3:16

The nature of God is clear, God is one being and one Lord as established by the Fathers of old, the prophets, the law, Jesus Himself and the apostles. No room for persons in the godhead, they trinity is imagined or assumed to be in scriptures where it is not. It is being read into the bible like other false doctrines. Even the devil knows there is just one God.

Here are the words of Jesus Himself when asked by the Jews which commandment was the greatest. This would have been the best time to explain about the trinity if it was true but what did He do? He strongly refuted any notion that contradicts God as one and affirmed with the bible that God is one

''And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord'' Mark 12:29

One Lord! Amen. He would have said ''one Lords'' like one essence three distinct persons like the trinitarians but He said One Lord!

The jews of today know God is One person or being. If they were in error about this God would have corrected them long ago because God is a jealous God. But they believed exactly how God wanted them to believe. Which is His oneness

This is another whole topic on its own that requires enough attention though

Religion / Re: Church Attendance: A Must Or Not? by An2elect2(f): 12:50pm On Feb 02, 2020
IsraelOA:
Good day everyone, I don't know if this question has been answered on any trend before.

I have been wondering the for some time now, the importance of going to church as a religious routine.

Of course, I know the scripture says "do not forsake the assembly of others." but couldn't this assembly just be a mere visitation and meeting with other Christians at different places aside the church?

I need sincere thoughts on this, don't be bias or religious.
You are correct in your assessment of that verse. As far as the bible is concerned there is nothing like going to church. Because Christians are the church(the house of God). So you can't say ''let's go to Church'' but you can say let us assemble as Church. Church used in the context of the world is a place or location where Christians go to worship God. Which is an error because God cannot be worshipped any more at a place but in Spirit(and in truth). [Courtesy of Jesus and the Samaritan woman.]

Paul's letters were addressed to the church(believers) dwelling in Rome, Corinth, Galatia not to designated places. So the early Christians would gather at any place of their choice(whether they made some a permanent place of meeting still doesn't matter as long as they did not think that the place had become God's tabernacle, because they were God's tabernacle not where they met)

So for the world ''Going to church'' is a ritual like keeping the sabbath day. And church, a building where God lives and a place where one man or few members are active while the rest are passive or inactive. Also a place where members don't know one another. Some may know quite a number but can't keep up with the rest. Even the pastor cannot identify his members except a handful.

But for the bible, a church is a group of believers (they could be 2, still doesn't matter because God is in their midst) who are all active in sharing their spiritual blessings, gifts and knowledge with one another. They could meet in their homes, anywhere that is convenient to build and strengthen one another as many times a week as they plan. Among them are teachers or/ and pastors, evangelists, prophets, elders, healers, those who speak in tongues and those who interpret these tongues, etc All these offices are there for the edification of the church. I believe that the early Christians knew one another and most likely operated as cells. Not overpopulated like today's idea of church.

The hebrew writer was not writing to the worldly church but the bible church: ''Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.'' Hebrews 10:25

He said the ''assembling of ourselves'' not the ''assembling of others'' He did not say assemble with a church goer or a nominal christian but believers in Christ who walk in the same faith of Christ as we. The church goer is not part of the church and has no spiritual knowledge, blessing or gift to exhort a genuine christian in Christ.

While the church goer is satisfied with the worldly church, the believer in Christ isn't

Teetee345:
Hi nl,
Am a young lady of 20 yrs and until now, I never knew spiritual attack existed..I just completed my ND program. I live with my dad and stepmum. my mum is late and she only had two girls for my dad..am the second and last born.

I come from a Muslim background but my dad never forced me to go to mosque besides I never liked being a Muslim.
When I got into polytechnic, I started going to church but not often and I didn't know attending church is different from accepting Christ and doing the will of God.

Two months ago I was asked to come for interview for my IT ...I was supposed to go for the interview the next day and then sickness started. But before the sickness, i remembered i had a dream that someone gave me a black substance to swallow that i had to die cuz i have something to do, i took it and swallowed it and i was holding my neck and struggling for breath , then i woke up from the dream...i prayed about it and continued with life .

a week later ,I was complaining of my body shaking and dizziness.. It was like I wanted to faint, I was rushed to hospital and I was told it was malaria..I got better for like two days, and then it started again ..I was taken to another hospital but didn't get myself still...then I was referred to general hospital... Still they didn't find anything wrong with me,,am always in pain and agony every night and I couldn't sleep...it was like someone was holding my neck and about to break it into two and my heart is always Beating fast like it was about to come out of my chest...I couldn't even explain to the doctors how I felt cuz its unexplainable....

When the doctors didn't know what else to do..
They gave me different sleeping pills and injections..still I couldn't sleep..
Then I was taken to a cherubim church but it only got worse... I was always crying and shouting every night and couldn't sleep for two weeks...
When I wasn't getting better.. I had to call my mum younger brother tho he was a Muslim... Then he took me to one Alfa,he recited Quran on me and that day I felt better and slept well but then it started again the next day..I couldn't breath well and its like something was walking in my whole body...

Then my dad picked me from there to my mum elder sister's place... She is a Christian and attends deeper life church.. She called her pastors and they did deliverance for me though they were in haste cuz they were going for retreat or something and I accepted Christ right there.. Infact i was asked to take of my earring and no more attachments or anything but to live like a deeper life christian and i looked like a shadow of myself after taking them off...

After that the sickness was still happening but its like its fading away gradually... Have been trying my best since then to stay away from sin and serve God.. And have been living with my aunt since then...am now okay but not completely... I could still feel that thing walking in my body but just suppressed... The pastors told me the sickness would go completely if I fast and pray at least three times a week and have faith but I haven't been able to do that since one month ago...reason is I can't fast at my aunt place cuz am always working...I can't even pray or sit for 20 mins without being sent on errand... Am always looking dirty and I looked like a maid...sometimes I get insulted if I make a mistake and am very scared of her...I called my dad and my elder sister to tell them everything and he said he is coming to pick me but I told him no cuz the pastors told my aunt I have to be spiritually strong before I Leave there so I won't be attacked again but I haven't been fasting and praying as am supposed to.

..but my aunt told me a lot of things I never knew before...she said my mother's family is not what I think and have noticed it too...almost all of them are dead including my mum and they all didn't go to school...she told me it is a generation curse that it was Christ that saved her...she said they wanted to kill me since I wanted to go further to school...she said I still have a lot of battle to fight against that family... But how will I do that when am only there to live like a maid...her daughter is always there doing nothing and I get shouted at after doing everything.... Sometimes she is nice to me and most times she is not...now I want to leave her place and go to my sister place to start the fasting and praying and attend church programs at mfm but am scared since the pastors told her I shouldn't go yet.I really appreciate her but I can't continue like this....am still not fully okay and I want to get closer to God but I can't do so where I am .I could sleep at night but not how I used to...I can't even wake up to pray in the morning most times since I have to start working immediately I wake up...am fed up and I don't know what to do....please kindly advice...
I have nothing else to give you except my Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that you are delivered from your troubles in His name.

''And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.'' Matthew 28:18. "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." Revelation 1:18

No, willful sinning is going back to the law hence being charged for sin. But in Christ the law is no more hence you are not charged for sin for all is paid through Christ's death. If we are in the spirit sin would no longer be a habit and even if we sin, we would be chastised for it not cut off because God cannot charge 2 people for same sin. If we are punished again then Christ's death is not effectual. But God forbid.

You have not responded to the question which is ...
What does to sin will fully means?
The op has explained this very well and even some people have agreed with him by explaining further.

Remember the Israelites were not able to keep the law too, like us. They broke the law multiple times and made God angry with them. And so many died. But then there was a shadow of Christ's sacrifice, a mini kind of sacrifice that was carried out to atone for their sins temporarily that required shedding the blood of a spotless animal. This indicates that sin can only be pardoned through the shedding of blood of an innocent one and not through the works of the law cos no one can keep the law. This sacrifice was done regularly because they were found guilty of sin. Would they have been guilty without the law? no but God imputed sin into them when they broke the law. And as long as they remain under the law they would continue to sin and face the punishment of death but not all died because of the sacrifice of bulls and goats. But they animal sacrifice could not change their hearts or make them stop sinning. If it had worked, then Christ wouldn't have been sacrificed. Hebrews10:1.

But God was not pleased with the continuous sacrifice for sin every year because it could not stop men from sinning. So Christ had to come and die. Shed his blood and be blameless as far as the law is concerned. Not only did Christ death take away the punishment for our sins it also took the power of sin away. And in this sacrifice God was pleased.

So the only way we can wilfully sin is to go back to the law, to look at Christ's sacrifice on the cross and still deem it incapable of ending your lust. To run back to the law to tame your sins which is impossible because the law cannot make you righteous but even more sinful. But in Christ our old man is dead and we are freed from the law and hence sin. So in Christ, you are not guilty of sin but under the law you are guilty.

If you reject the sacrifice that was done once and for all, you would need another sacrifice when you sin and continue to sin under the law but there is no more sacrifice. The only thing remaining is the terrifying punishment that would come for rejecting the perfect sacrifice. Hebrews 10:27.

Romans 8:1-4 ''There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.''

A reformed christian is one that believes in the sovereignty of God in all things including salvation. The popular acronym used to summarise this is TULIP which stands for Total depravity(of the sinner), Unconditional election(God elects according to His will), Limited atonement(Christ died for his sheep), Irresistible grace(the elect would respond positively to the gospel) and Perseverance of the saints(God keeps us saved in Christ till the end).

To understand you perfectly. You explained that to sin wilfully is to reject Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross as payment for our sins,. And acknowledging this sacrifice was made is the license you need to live a lawless life (do what you feel is right) without getting God's judgment.

If this is it, I politely disagree with you on some aspects of this premise. While it is true that Jesus's sacrifice was made as payment for all our sins, It is not an invitation to live by your own set of rules without getting on God's bad side. I feel this kind of teaching is a bit selfish and doesn't really understand the harmful effects of sin in this world. For example, as long as a yahoo boy believes that Jesus died for him then he is perfectly allowed to continue scamming people and destroying their lives in the process or the husband that cheats on his wife and destroys his family can continue without any consequence because he believes Jesus has paid for him? God won't even bat an eyelid because he says Jesus had paid for me. (These two examples are just modern interpretation of two of the ten commandments ie do not steal & commit adultery).

I believe Jesus's sacrifice was to pay for the sins of the whole world. His coming was also to call us to a higher standard of living (Repent or change your ways for God's kingdom is at hand). But being human who are not perfect, If you break God's laws by mistake, come to God through Jesus and obtain mercy.

Hebrewa 10:26 This portion talks about willingly breaking God's laws without regard, that you will not be exempted from judgment because you know what is right and decide to do what will give you the most pleasuring (ignoring everything else).
You can't stop sinning no matter how hard you try, you can't keep the law no matter how hard you try(Can't you hear the law? you break one you break all). The law was given to expose your sins. If there was no constitution/law in Nigeria, then no one would be convicted of crime. Thieves would steal, rapists would rape, murderers would murder but they would still be free because there is no law that says what they do is wrong. And you can't sentence anyone except he has been tried. The only way to make culprits pay for their crimes is to establish the rule of law.

In the same vain, before the time of moses sin was in the world but it was not imputed or recorded or charged to the sinners' account until the law came. When the law was established through Moses, sin was then imputed. The sinner was then charged and made guilty. ''And I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive, and I died.'' Romans 7:9 So without the law, the sinner is alive and free but when the law came the sinner is made guilty of sin and punished. And the punishment for sin is death.

Even though the law is righteous and holy the same way our constitution is good, the law cannot make you righteous, the law only makes you guilty of sin. While you can manage to keep all the laws of your country, you can't keep the law of God. To keep the law of God, you must never ever sin, even once. You must never break any law. If you sin for once in your lifetime, you are guilty of breaking the law and you would be punished through death. Who can say they have never sinned? Do you now see how foolish it is to try to attain righteousness through the law? It is not possible to be righteous by the law. You would sin because you have the sinful nature from Adam.

So who was able to keep the law without ever sinning? Jesus Christ. So when we are brought into Christ, Christ's obedience becomes ours.

But we can't be married to Christ and to the law at the same time. We can only be married to one. So you have to divorce one. To either divorce the law and marry Christ or divorce Christ and marry the law. You can't marry Christ and then go back to the law like the foolish Galatians. Its witchcraft. So you stick to Christ or the law. And how are we married to Christ (and divorced from the law)? It is through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Over 2 thousand years ago, God put us(the sinners by divine providence), our whole sins(all our sins were future sins as at that time) in Christ. So when Christ died, we died too (to the law and to sin). He was punished for all our sins so God cannot punish us for our sins anymore because He has already punished Christ for all of them. If God should punish us for the sins He punished Christ for then He would not be just. But God is just. So how do you live above sin and bear fruits to God? It is through the resurrection of Christ from the dead. For without this resurrection then the power to live above sin would not be given. But Christ's resurrection signified that we are now alive in Christ and new creatures divorced from the law and married to Christ. We died in Christ and also rose with him. The law is put away, the power of sin is crushed, the last enemy is death. ''For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.'' 1Corinth 15:21

''Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.'' Romans 4:7

So now we live not by the works of the law but by the faith of Christ, faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross. It is in this cross work of Jesus that God has placed the power of salvation, Romans 1:6. Even after we are saved, it is still through faith in the cross work of Christ that we grow, Galatians 3. We can't grow through the works of the law, that would only frustrate the grace of God. God's power is effectual to cause us to do good. If you don't have Christ, you won't have this power and you would always seek your own righteousness. Your naturally deceitful heart would deceive you into trusting your works.

Romans 5:12-21''Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

20 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21 so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.''Romans5:12-21

I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain. Galatians 2:20

1. I believe in God's foreknowledge of our actions on earth even before He created anything
2. I believe that based on Gods foreknowledge, He made provision (special grace) predestination for those He had foreknown
3. Gods predestination is NOT random else He would be unjust to condemn a person who had not yet commited sin/iniquity.

4. Apart from this aspect of predestination (which has to do with salvation) , I doubt if God predestined our lives else, we would not/can not be guilty of what we have been predestined to do.

But if an orange tree would produce bitter orange, we will cut it down

Wow beautiful story grin but you see IG and Chidi they would still end up in hell if they don't put their trust in Christ. And all IG's sorrows, hard work and Chidi's riches would amount to dust.

These words are very correct. Sorry I misquoted u and ur declining to go further was justified in view of ur clear stand. Pls pardon my error.
