Mamas pls has anyone experience vomitting after taking Lumartem for malaria. My test showed 1+
and urine showed moderate growth of staph. I was given Nitrofureaton(pardon my spelling i cant see d writing on d bag well) for d staph. I took d 2 drugs together and an hour later i vomitted heavily. I dont knw if i should stop or continue d drug. TIA.

Cc: our health personnels.

Madam, for me it's dat nitrofurantion o, when my doc prescribed it with promethazine(avomine), when I saw it I knew it was a naughty drug, dint take it till about a week after, and still threw up.
Made me wonder why they prescribe it at all sef!!!

Tnk u mama zaynie , he chocked on it dis morning again, kinda scary, has even figured out how to remove mittens sef . He is really becoming a handful... And can suck(booby) for Africa.

Hian, N100k bi ti bawo. I 'fitnt', my daughter uses normal GL earrings. My husband once spoke about buying her small gold ones (less than 20k) but I advised against it for now, she's still young (clocked 3 in may) what if someone just takes them off her one day. Not everybody dey spend that kind money o.

Very correct ma,, when I was small my uncle will be busy putn gold ear rings on me , my older cousins will be removing it, dey will remove one today, another d nxt day. GL for now!

By they way, my LO has started something new o, he puts his fingers in his mouth n sucks on it to the extent of almost chocking twice today,,, put a sock over the hand now . Anyone experienced this

someone carelessly rushed Andres glucose i.v.he was to take 20ml per hour but they gave 50ml per hour for two days.his sugar level rose to an alarming rate d doctor tried his best bt my son didnt make it.dey even put him back on oxygen dt day .doctor said he was retaining fluid.i have left everything to God.pls mamas while in hospital open your eyes....ask questions and above all prayers should not cease from our mouths

And to think that this same thing happened to my son, my mom noticed it on time.... It was in the middle of the night, ma so she start to find nurse up n down hospital, went to second floor, could u imagine the nurse there refused to follow her, dat they will query the nurse that was supposed to b attending to us, n dat one don go sleep, it took 30min for us to get her to come do it right. All tru my stay there I could not sleep. Too much negligence abeg.

enkaydewdop , mitchy..... Hmmmm vigilante is real ooo. Me that like sleep wella, can't rem the last time I had 5hrs sleep straight.... Day time ;I go to shop, early momo; food must ready(hubby carries food to work, me sef like food wella) DS will bath, suckle,,wanna play,....thank God my mom is still around... I for hear am pass like this.

And to think a lady that had triplets in jan came to my shop this week looking fresh, Omo I bow for am o, she said she almost craze for the matter! U would never guess she had triplets!!

Just get cotton wool and olive oil. Before you take your bath, pour some olive oil in the cotton wool and use it to clean your tips. Not just the n*pples, the entire dark area surrounding it.
As for your b*east, use both hands to press it from the root towards the tips. You'll notice colostrum coming out. Clean it away and press again up to 5 times. I do this weekly

No ooo!! stop pressing out ur colostrum, baby needs it. heard its very good for babies...

Dont be scared ma, i had the shots at about 22wks i think, ask ur doc about it. Just have faith. Ask questions n follow doc's instructions. u will soon carry ur LO.

Congrats iyabetajos, God bless u n ur LO. He'll be jst fine. Had my bb @ 33wks, wieghing 2.1kg, didn't need incubator. Some nurses can be careless at times, had lots of issues with them during my stay post partum. Pls ask lots of questions n make sure they carry out doctors orders very well.
Lemme share some of my experiences...
A nurse diagnosed my baby as being jaundiced, called a gp as d pediatrician was not around, they started treatment on d tiny dude, collected sample for test n forgot about d result. Pediatrician cam some days later n saw my baby under d light and asked for the result, den never collect am after like 3 days in fact it was like dey forgot about it, d doc had to start shouting on them na so my mama join o, dey got the result n d boy was not jaundiced. Dey just suffered my baby for nothing.
Another incident was not giving me my correct drugs, In fact I had to be reminding them of the drugs to b taken. They were told to give me gaviscon, they forgot. They were told to always dress the site where blood from my uterus was passed tru after removing the drain, they forgot, thank God the tin did not get infected. So many instances abeg.
Please for all mamas having one complication or the other during pregnancy, ask to be given steroid shots cos of preterm delivery , it will help baby's lung develop. M sure dat helped my baby a lot.

Hello everyone, its really been a while, Tried readin back tru old posts but gave up after 3days,una can talk! Congrats to all that v given birth n supernatural deliuery to all pushing mamas. Seniour mamas I hail o, much respect. My baby is doing great, u wont know he was born 7weeks early. Tried uploading pictures of my baby n d fibroids taken out during cs but cant, dont know what im doing wrong. love u all n GOD BLESS.

Ma'am he had wot they called hydrocele from birth, as in, fluid in d scrotum n They also said one of his testes is hidden. They prescribed surgery 4 him.
Thank God it was succesful with little or no Pain on him.
He s doin very fine now, while d spot is healing.

Tnk God ur son is fine, my little precious might need surgery too for mild epispadias. your post has given me more encouragement. dnt knw why God is allowing me go tru dis many chalenges but i know it all end in praise. thanks for sharing

@ nazablossom, no they dont usually do it, my doc wanted to as well, it bleeds a lot. Was gonna tell her no, buh the emergency changed it all. Only the ones blocking the path of delivery were removed, the rest were left alone to be removed later. Got pics of the monsters, anybody wanna see?

We are doing great tnx, he's not in the incubator, was put in NICU for a day cos they suspected jaundice, dint wait for the result to come out b4 commencing treatment. Very annoying, I cried. How could they o that to my tiny baby.

Pls mamas always listen to ur docs advice and of course seek a second opinion. She always told me we had to avoid anything that could set off labour, so was always running test checking for infection bladder, vag, full blood count, malaria, anything is treated immediately. No matter how often. It all worked to keep my lo in this long n I know it.

All glory be to God he is a healthy 1 week,1 day old baby today and sucking very well.

Doc doesn't work on saturdays so I first saw a nurse, who started taking me up to be admitted immediately, saw a much younger doc on the way n she asked us to go back down so my vitals could be taken,, ohhh ny God, I almost ate her up, she was able to calm me down sha, very nice n efficient lady. I was not feeling my baby move although I dint say anything, we were sent for a scan, everything was ok except low fluid.


Earlier my doc had asked on phone if I took the steroid injections prescribed, thank God I did. Got admitted. All this while my doc was communicating with them on phone. Was prepared for surgery n by 8 my doc came around. By 9 went in., given meds n was numb from waist down, heard when she said she saw the baby's head, saw my baby....

They had to remove three fibroids blocking the way of delivery, I started bleeding.....bought blood already so dat was covered.

My boy came out on the 27th of February my dad's birthday, mom' is 1st, mine 2nd.

He came out at 33 weeks, weighing 2.1kg, dint need to b incubated, at a point they suspected jaundice, but tested negative, my baby is a great over comer, he fought the nasty fibroids for space n won, he fought high bp n won, he fought prem contractions n won. I love him so much n I thank God for gifting him with him.

Birth story.....
My EDD was supposed to be early april but we were hoping to do the cs anytime from 36weeks. Thank God I was able to buy baby tins at 32 weeks, on the 26th friday, I was not just feeling ok at all, the normal contractions I feel due to the fibroids were coming more frequently than normal, so I jst laid down n slept most of the evening, threw up.

Next morning being a saturday I slept till about 9am n then my water suddenly broke!!! Never been so scared in my life, the bed was super soaked. A lot of things were going tru my mind. My initial scream woke hubby, so we got up, tried to pack my hospital things together, called doctor, she dint pick, cleaned myself, all this while hubby was just looking at me almost daze like. I never tot it could be this soon, wanted to keep him in as much as possible. Doc called back n we headed to hosp

Good evening, pls 18weeks is not just o..... go see a doc ASAP, register for antenatal, n pls go to a good hospital where they will carry out the right and necessary tests for you. first hospital I went to, they dint even bother to carry out any test...meanwhile I had malaria n slight infection, so pls do the right thing. hi mommas so jusz to give an update.am at anoda hosp n d doc just checked bp which is 152/90 or so n gave me a bed ohh.dey r testing urine to check. preeclampsia at d moment bt he said he wants to monitor d b.p

It is well with u. Jst try n relax. Mine is measuring 140/100 now but v added aldoment to the nifedipine I was taking before.

Just relax. N if possible drop ur phone for a while, stop googling, it will end in praise. Lots of hugs.
