Religion / Re: Gospel Music Versus Secular Music by analyt82(f): 5:17pm On Oct 05, 2007
I'm not sure about going to hell for "it" per se, but why put yourself in a position to think carnal thoughts b/c of the music? The thoughts is what's going to take you to Hell. Weather carnal or violent, if you think on it enough you'll act on it. From a future criminal psychologist point of view. wink
Religion / Re: Atheists:Explain the Existence of Miracles! by analyt82(f): 3:38pm On Oct 05, 2007
@ Realdosh, only “pastors” who are “real” will be blessed in that way, but you must remember, Satan gives certain powers to . . . Those so called powerful me of God are nothing, but the devil. They were either tempted and failed or Satan helped them through the ranks. Everyone knows there are REAL pastors nad Fand pastors. Kindly stop only trying to define and compare Christianity to the FAKE ones. wink

Culture / Re: Speaking Out Against The Bride Price Practice by analyt82(f): 4:48pm On Sep 28, 2007
I'm not married, but I would BAULK at the thought of my intended paying a price for me!!  shocked Obviously by this time I know he can take care of me. Marriage is when two people come together as one. To share as "ONE".  grin Women are no man's possession.  angry  I think ppl are getting confused on purpose to keep "tradition". Some traditions need to be let go. If we "woman" want to fight in this world against male dominance and disrespect, then "some" things HAVE to be let go.  wink That doesn't make your culture less important than what it is, it just means, you know how to adjust. Out with the old and in with the new. Change is constant.

Culture / Re: Nigerians Don't Commit Suicide? by analyt82(f): 9:14pm On Sep 26, 2007
I agree with you KoBojunkie, regardless of ethnic background, do you know how much higher the suicide rates would be if the "families" didn't cover them up ? One of my majors was history so I do a lot of friggin research (I hate it), the results are payment enough.

Religion / Re: Senator Sues God Over Natural Disasters by analyt82(f): 3:14pm On Sep 20, 2007
This guy just wants to go down in history as "The First Man to Sue GOD". I say first b/c you know other fanatics will follow with other bizarre stories.
Religion / Re: The Gospel According To Satan by analyt82(f): 3:50pm On Sep 19, 2007
@ mrpataki, I agree about the message part. Some people try to be so deep when the message is right there in FRONT of you. They just don't except the answer.
Religion / Re: The Gospel According To Satan by analyt82(f): 3:00pm On Sep 19, 2007
@ www.Pastor and cgift, that is true and I agree wholeheartedly.
Religion / Re: Is Mercy Killing Ok? by analyt82(f): 2:52pm On Sep 19, 2007
I do believe that it is in God's hands, on who dies and who lives, but this is a hard thread for me.  sad A couple of years ago my mother pasted. She died in Hospice (at home) Care on 3 to 6 months to live. I remember reading some paperwork that was on her dresser about being on life suppport and needing her consent on weather or not to pull the plug. I would have pulled the plug b/c I know my mom wouldn't have wanted us to see her suffer and die more slowly than she would have. Yes, it is contradictory, but I would have. cry
Religion / Re: I'm A Free Thinker: Does That Mean I Won't Go To Heaven? by analyt82(f): 4:13pm On Sep 13, 2007
BLKRAVEN, God has given us free will to make a choice. There were no conditions attached to the free will. Free thinking is a choice. The OP does not have to belong to any religious group because we can all think for ourselves. She just needs to do what she knows in her heart is right.

The HEART will lead you astray.
Religion / Re: There Is No God? by analyt82(f): 9:48pm On Sep 12, 2007
@ Thief of hearts, One "Christian" doesn't speak for all. Keep that in mind. Yes, we're all suppose to be of own mind, but there is that thing called FREE WILL. The DEVIL will place bad seed among the good to divert attention and push the ones who need it away. Sad, but true.
Religion / Re: Pastors Who Use Church Members/His Family To Preach by analyt82(f): 6:12pm On Sep 12, 2007
ClimieNH89, I understand what you're talking about. It wasn't right for your pastor to do that. I think that you should go to him and get this off your chest b/c if you don't it will become a hindrance for your spiritual growth.
Religion / Re: Your God Is A Liar by analyt82(f): 7:12pm On Sep 11, 2007
Mizieya-

Notice how you say so much and nobody really understands or wants to read it all (like saying a lot of nothing), and we say so little, get to the point and everyone understands . . . . . Don't try to be so "deep" and disapproving that you miss the answer on the surface in front of you . . . . .
