Haibo! They educate you people very badly over there. I am so bewildered that I wonder how some of you were able to become that rich in the first place.
We also have a high literacy rate and better schools than Nigeria, with far more teachers per student. Fun fact, South Africa spends more money on education than the entier nigerian fedral budgetr

Exclusive of Diasporans, probably not?
Yes South Africans have far more money than Nigerians. Why do you think every one run to South Africa but South Africans don't feel the need to leave

To demonstrate relativity. 2 million rich black South Africans are a drop in the bucket in absolute terms when compared to a population size of 220 million people.
There are more wealthy people with true wealth than there are nigerians in that level of wealth.

in relative terms Botswana's Income per capita is way way higher than that of Nigerians but in absolute terms, No.
Why you bring up Botswana?

and in the same breath you are the most unequal society when race is factored in.
That's because our rich are really rich.

The gap is not how many are poor or rich, but the difference between the rich and poor.

Is this an issue? Sure we should close the gap but on the other hand it not like we have the highest poverty in Africa or more than Nigeria. In fact per capita our poverty is far lower than Nigeria and in fact since 1994 more have been brought out of poverty, whereas Nigeria is stagnant in it poverty.

Which is relative to the population but see how your people are behaving. Very uncivilised people? Where were they when they poor Zimbabwean came into the country build things from scratch only for you and your people to come and loot her shop? Why couldn't your people do the same? You will claim that she came to steal your job abi? You people are upside down....
South Africa has less poverty per capita and a larger black middle class in total and per capita

These are not my people. They clearly are in the wrong and i am not defending there acstion

The Zimbabweans are here because they ruined their country. No other reason other than they turned their home into a giant mess and then they ran away.

Yet some south Africans on this Nairaland were arguing with me sometimes last week that they are better than other Africans.

I hope they can comment on this shameful behaviour of their fellow citizens.

South Africans are just too lazy. After looting those shop items, they will still go back to their poverty....
Your country has more poverty, though.

Nonsense.
Why doesn't the South African government focus on the systemic corruption of its own politicians instead of using foreigners as scapegoats? Before Nigerians, Ghanaians, and Zimbabweans moved in to build small businesses (like convenience stores, car washes, and used tire shops) why weren't South Africans operating businesses on the very land where these foreign-owned businesses now stand?
You clearly not understand.

The government is not the ones behind the anti illegal immigrants. This not a government run movement.

The issue is that corruption has led to a lot of the issues.how can some one from Ghana get asylum in South Africa unless there is corruption.

Many foreign owned businesses do things on the cheap and illegally it why local companies suffer
Foreign AffairsRe: Ghana's Parliament Approves Anti-LGBTQ Law by andrewza: 4:58am On May 30
Why do they care so much about LGBT people so much. Why dont they don't focus on the people actually destroying there country.

Ghana going to be arresting gay people while illegal miners put poison in to there rivers.

I am lost here.
The 300 that were leaving and and 450 at the police stastion where completly diffrent set of people.
Foreign AffairsRe: 300 Ghanaians Repatriated From SA, Only 10 Found To Be Legal - VIDEOS by andrewza: 9:37pm On May 29
seppuku:
But what about the 450 migrants who ran to the police station. The number of undocumented were less than 1% in that scenario but most of you came out to spew lines that it was impossible for Home affairs to verify papers in such a short period of time.

They must have improved their methods quite significantly in a short period of time and have now earned your trust.

Hmmm?
Yes, as I said why would people who are undocumented run to the police station? I can easily see how most of that 450 where legally in the country.

If you are undocumented and go to the cops even to report a crime, the cops will detain you.

But they're not going to detain you if you leaving the country. Instead, they just ban you from returning.

There are nearly 3 million documented foreign immigrants in South Africa. We don't know how many undocumented foreigners there are since they are not documented
Foreign AffairsRe: 300 Ghanaians Repatriated From SA, Only 10 Found To Be Legal - VIDEOS by andrewza: 9:26pm On May 29
seppuku:
But your people said they were lieing when they claimed out of 450 migrants at the police building only like 30 were undocumented.

Why do you believe them when the numbers favor your narrative.

Hmmm?
As i said, I don't know enough about Ghana to trust them. They may like to lie a lot. I trust Home Affairs to be telling the truth. They have no reason to lie. In fact them saying that there were so many illegal immigrants among the flight out has only given the anti-immigration movements more power since now they can say that they are right.

So the ANC's best interest was to downplay the numbers, yet they did not.
Foreign AffairsRe: 300 Ghanaians Repatriated From SA, Only 10 Found To Be Legal - VIDEOS by andrewza: 9:21pm On May 29
seppuku:
What you just said has no relevance. Is home affairs a provincial agent of government or is it national?
It matters since the 300 leaving to Ghana's home affairs said only had 10 legal among them, whereas the group that was at the police station was a completely different group of people in a different province. One can assume that those looking for help from the police were legally in the country.

seppuku:
But your people said they were lieing when they claimed out of 450 migrants at the police building only like 30 were undocumented.

Hmmm?
Those were not all from this group or from Ghana. That was in a different city in a different province.
Foreign AffairsRe: 300 Ghanaians Repatriated From SA, Only 10 Found To Be Legal - VIDEOS by andrewza: 5:30pm On May 29
seppuku:
I have zero issues with sanitizing a system that is broken but at the end of the day 80% of those individuals were legal.

You people are confusing me with your demands.
80% where claimed to be legal by Ghana and 10% claimed by South Africa. I dont know Ghanian goverment enough but i do trust the South African government when it says only 10 appear in the database.
Foreign AffairsRe: 300 Ghanaians Repatriated From SA, Only 10 Found To Be Legal - VIDEOS by andrewza: 5:08pm On May 29
seppuku:
Thank you for the correction.

So what you are inferring is that the Ghana officials were correct?

If this is the case and we extrapolate that small sample size, we should then conclude that 80% of so-called migrants in South Africa are legal.

So if you wanted the illegals out why are you still chasing the legal ones.

Point 2 is we know that it is highly likely that the government causes delays in renewing African migrants paper works as a form of deterance and to frustrate the migrants so please reduce that 20% deliquency another 5-10%
It les the correct but both sides can be correct.

When they left Ghana and arrived in South Africa, they were legal, but then they over stayed there VISA, did not reneuw there paper work or a host of other things that made them illegal.

The big issue with Ghana is why do so many have asylum in South Africa. In fact, the laws just changed in South Africa where you can only request asylum once. In the past, you could just keep requesting and basically reset how long you can stay. That alone could of made them illegal. There is no way someone from Ghana could get asylum since the country is stable with no wars or repressive laws.

On point two, as long as something is in process, you're legal.
Foreign AffairsRe: 300 Ghanaians Repatriated From SA, Only 10 Found To Be Legal - VIDEOS by andrewza: 2:32pm On May 29
seppuku:
That's strange. The Ghana representative said the opposite, that only 10 were found to be undocumented. The other day your march and march didn't believe home affairs numbers with the 450 migrants that were bunkered at the police station

Hmmmm, who are we to believe. A country with an "agenda" against migrants or an unbiased Ghana official taking his countrymen home.
Misleading.

Ghana says 80 percent where legally in the country and working. That's him saying 60 where illegal.

Issue is that it does not matter what Ghana has as legal. Home affairs flagged them as illegal.

This may because they have not being do the paper work in south Africa. They may of been legal 5 years ago but now they illegal.

Thank you for the analysis.
Also these countries have major infrastructure to show for these loans
Egypt exports power from their Benbar solar power plant which they built.
Nigeria cannot show one world structure despite all these crazy loans.
Yes and it important yo know who the money was borrowed from.

Egypt lenders are fellow Muslim nation mostly gulf states. They wont have the same interests rates and often those loan as you said where for a specific project

South Africa is even better off. Even though it has a massive debt to GDP it borrowed close to 90% of the money from south Africa. South Africa owes it self money.

A lot of the external debt is all so for speciol projects. There is a multi billion dollar loan from the EU with zero percent interest that for building wind and solar power.

Nigeria issue is has you said. Borrowing money from a world bank to pay for simply running the country.
PoliticsRe: Five African Countries Top World Bank Borrowers, Owing $67.8 Billion by andrewza: 3:49pm On May 26
Freetech:
Most of the comments here are as a result of financial illetracy.

Talking about loan the first thing to consider is the balance sheet; Asset -liability. When it's positive irrespective of the size of your debt you are good to go

In case of Nigeria Reserves, population and natural resources remain high and far more than 18bil debt being discussed here.

Check the loan of other African countries to their population, you realise Nigeria is doing well. Nigeria debt is far lower when you consider total debt off Africa apart from world bank

Moreover most the loan are attached to verifiable project like East west road, railway, coastal road and Sokoto-badagry road

Why do you think the rating institutions continue rating Nigeria higher
Issue comes when you compare the debt as a portion of the budget. That matters far more since south Africa is able to better leverage its GDP in to a budget for the country

So looking at national budget

South Africa 146 billion dollars
Nigeria 32 billion dollars
Egypt 81 billion dollars

South Africa debt repayments is 21 billion
Nigeria debt repayments is 11 billion
Egypt 41 billion

So even with a high dept to GDP South Africa pays less money as a percentage of its budget to pay it off.

When you say, you're no difference from the bad things I do, means you're seeking validation for justification.

Nigeria has never asked any national to vacate her country... We might have internal political crisis like herdsmen killings and other crisis but these are politically motivated especially oil rich countries....

I bet you, there are killings in Cape Town but since you're justifying this actions, you'll definitely be giving a blind eyes to it.
Explaining why people are upset angry is not the same as being angry. I work in the SANDF there no foreigners here other than the ones we invited including Nigerians.

But it does not mean I can not see why people are angry and upset about the state of immigration.

Sorry there a bag named after how Nigerians kicked out Ghanaian people and you have internal tribalism and religious violence far above South Africa. Dont act like Nigerians are all peace loving pan Africanist.

Name a killing from thus year in south Africa where the motive was xenophobia. Not the two killings of Nigerians one was by the SANDF and the other the police. But a killing by a xenophobic mob.

Anecdotal evidence. Your departments should publish these numbers. Please post.

Elaborate. How do they bring in it. Through ports, on flights? Where do they source it from?

Post your source please.

1 % of the nigerian population is 2.2 million people mfethu thats 50% of the total foreign population in South Africa.

Your home affairs have the number of deportees, Please post source.

Tomorrow I will shout bantu education and they will say I am lieing.

So your government is to blame.

You are just yapping here. You think if ActionSA becomes the majority they will revoke that. SMH!

Deal with criminals on an individual basis and stop scape goating Nationalities. Grow up.
The fact they being arrested shows that we do. The issue is the government is ineffective.

Those numbers are from our prison serves you can look them up and then the list of people in South Africa.
But here some numbers for you
https://news.nwu.ac.za/foreigners-sa-jails-deportation-complicated
15% of all prisoners are Forigners

Smuggling in is thing. We have a lot of trucks, planes and ships that enter the country and many so lost of ways to smuggel drugs into the country and there all ways a news report of the latest bust.

1% of the Nigerian population in South Africa. I know the Nigerian education system is a scam where people can do computer studies without a computer room. But I'm pretty sure that 1% of Nigerians in South Africa would be easy to understand.
