Depends on the subject being taught, whether it is a scarce skill or not. South Africa does have 31 000 vacant teacher posts but this is due to money not the fact that there aren't enough Teachers.

Nigeria has around 1.4 million foreigners or 0.6% of the population

South Africa has 2.9 million registered foreigners (from around the world) or 4.7% of the population. Those are people with papers. There is an estimated 1 to 2 million undocumented.

In short, for every 20 South Africans there is a forginers where in nigeria it is for every 1 in 160.


Basically, no one wants to live in Nigeria, where people are flooding South Africa.
