He will not give a direct answer because it is true....but to be fair they all do it.

Obi has the habit of not answering questions directly when he knows the allegations are 100% true.

As I said earlier, at a time in Lagos, everything went through Skye bank as APC people had direct shares and control in that bank. It usually changes depending on what administration or connections the new governor has.

Civil servants and military generals do the same, lodging funds meant for projects and salaries in banks as fixed deposits and eating the interest.

Even some shameless Bank owners and directors who own all these outsourcing firms and other support companies do the same thing.

It's the oldest and most harmless way to steal (in their minds) and I am aware that public officials have been doing it since late Babangida & Abacha days, when commercial banking became the cesspit it is currently.

This video just proves why, even when our politicians do the right thing, no one trusts them because of their antecedents and selfish nature, and inadvertently Lere has proved us right with an admission that obviously slipped out mistakenly.

Now Lere says the land was approved for parks and recreation by a previous FCT administration, which is why the former CNS cannot build and develop it for personal use and was apparently "duped".

However he lets it slip (while stuttering), that they have now "redesignated" the land for "public buildings" and "corporate offices".... so I ask what happened to the grand master plan and why is it being converted back to use for offices after all the brouhaha?? Are parks and roadways no longer important in a modern city.

This is exactly what Wike was accused of doing when he stole land that the university of Abuja had for the same parks and recreation and took it for private use with the excuse that the land was fallow and they were not using it to do anything and should have never had it anyway

The corruption in the FCT when it comes to land matters is just ridiculous and is why no one who is in the know can take any of them seriously when all they are doing is just plain old land grabbing.

He tried over and over to de-escalate the situation, unlike garrulous Wike who was talking about "killing everybody" as if he can stand when bullets starts flying.

To be honest, I hope nothing happens to the young officer as he tried his best to handle a bad situation which he should have never been put in if only Nigerians from everywhere have sense, and that includes agbaya Generals that have no shame.

What is wrong with some of you?
You have been going around talking what you don't know and you have been corrected severely yet you still beat you chest talking what you don't know with annoying confidence.

Retired personnel are not given anyone to "command" , they are given personnel that will protect them. A father protects his family, that does not mean his family all of a sudden commands him.

These personnel are ACTIVE officers, not chosen by the retired officer (though he can unofficially have input) and are changed regularly and can be changed anytime by the ACTIVE commanding officers that sent them their. The ACTIVE commanding officer is who they report to and take orders from, no one else.

They are not meant to take orders from the people they are protecting, just like the same way those who protect ex presidents and governors do not take orders from them.

When Trump was almost assassinated on stage and doing fist bumps, the secret service did not take orders from him when they forcefully dragged him off stage and took him away. It is even clear they were radioing their bosses and collecting real time orders on how to handle the situation.

There are many ways to fight Wike properly as what he did yesterday was rubbish, but stop actively lying to do so and use your God given brain to attack him properly.

If we were to judge the matter by law and legality, Wike will win.

But this matter is complicated.

Vice Admiral AZ Gambo is senior to the current CDS, General Oluyode, and by that, the CDS cannot go against his orders. This is simple military tradition and precedence.

The only person that can give a counter order to the orders of Vice Admiral Gambo is the Commander-In-Chief, Tinubu, but even Tinubu must be careful because there’s a way he’d handle the matter in favour of the law (Wike) and he would anger the rank and file of the military establishment which will not be good at all.

Remember he just survived a coup.

There’s a reason people like AZ Gambo are left alone to do their thing as far as their actions are not very much against the law or threat to public peace and order.

How much does Wike and FCT ministry want to generate from the General registering for his development levy. It’s a totally unnecessary fracas.

I won’t be surprised if Wike is sacked because of this.
I wonder where you people get your information or understanding from.

A man who retired almost 5 years ago cannot outrank a serving CDS when it comes to giving orders to a serving military personnel...if you people don't understand their traditions, please stop making things up just to trend.

I didn't say you never agreed to the fact that Oseni seniored Abdulsalaam by rank and I read your post well before responding, I only corroborated what you said, that though the former joined military earlier, the latter seniored him by military ranking and I told you what you didn't know...why his promotion was stagnated due to his odoogbo barracks' unruly behaviour. The retired military officer in the family was Abdulsalaam Abubakar's colleague in that barracks back then, in charge of transportation.

That said, if you read my so-called epistle from the first post, you'd have seen where I talked about Abdulsalaam ranking on becoming head of state, meaning the Lt General position was skipped and he became full general( to fit into that office of head of state). I never said he was ever commissioned a Lt General as you posted in response. I was harping on seniority when I said oseni even became a Lt General ahead of Abdulsalaam( he got there before the rank was skipped for Abdulsalaam), not that he was ever commissioned a Lt general. Grammar can be complicated at times, except when expatiated

Truly here's a public forum where nobody knows anyone. You dont know me as well, just as I dont know you. Let's leave it that way. Gd morning
Bro,we are not fighting (or disagreeing apparently ), thanks for your contribution.

As for the incident you talked about that delayed his rise in the army, I knew about it already as Bamaiyi had already made it public in his book where he actually stated it was a proper court martial Abdusalami faced for stealing earlier in his career.

Anyway, since you reminded me about Bamaiyi's book, it is important to note that when the meeting to choose the Head of State started properly, Bamaiyi states he was the one that stood up and nominated Abdulsalami, so that should put to rest the question of seniority regarding Bamaiyi and Abdulsalami despite the difference in ranks.

You tried but not all correct pieces of information were put up by you on the position of Abdulsalaam Abubakar before becoming head of state. Please do your findings.

The immediate senior to him was Lieutenant General Jeremiah Useni. Useni was commissioned the LT Gen ahead of Gen Abdulsalaami Abubakar, even though Gen Abubakar joined the army before him. Gen Abubakar ought to have even gone farther than that much earlier but due to the unsubstantiated unruly behaviour when serving at the Odogbo military barracks at Ojoo in ibadan, his promotion was delayed.

This isn't a debatable fact. We get one oga for military for my family and I had to call thim to confirm this before posting it. He served actively in anacha's administration so he was in the know of everything.Gen Oladipo Diya was the most senior but because they needed a regime change, being the second-in-command to Abacha(though ceremoniously) Gen. Diya wasn't considered a successor. I doubt Google will differ, if you check
Bros, no be only you get family during Abacha, some of us were there live and direct and met these people, Google cannot be needed for eyewitness experience... remember this is an online forum so you cannot be sure who you are speaking to.

Anyway, you did not read what I said before you posted your epistle.

I had already agreed that Useni seniored everyone by rank and when he joined , however as an FCT minister, he is no more than a governor and until you can show me where in the past a governor succeeded a head of state without a coup then you need to go and speak to your family member some more.

The seniority of your office has always mattered in the Army. Also Abdulsalami was never a Lt General and was promoted from Major General to General when he became C in C, which again shows you did not read people's comments before you dropped yours.

You are correct, regarding Adeosun. The only thing I’d add is that Lt. Gen. Buratai played a MAJOR role in Adeosun’s promotion to Lt. Gen., in fact Adeosun said as much during a brief pre-retirement ceremony for Buratai. If you do some more research, you may discover that Buratai’s dad was friends with Buhari. After Buratai’s retirement, I suspect he engaged Buhari not to retire his old pal, Adeosun, and that’s why he was able to stay on for a while after Attahir took the helm. Adeosun was a very loyal guy and did not seem like someone that would disrupt the system by being insubordinate to the new chain of command.
I did not know about the Buratai and Buhari connection.

Before his promotion, there was an interesting media piece on how some senior officers serving in the North, disobeyed commands and stopped Buhari from being rigged out during the 2015 election.

I tend to give that piece some credence and tend to believe that was why Adeosun had his lasting power as Buhari and others felt they owed him.

Will post it below when I find it.

the promotion into the ranks in the military always comes with bias, especially in Nigeria. I remember this incident very well. I also remember when Gen Abdulsalaam Abubakar was elevated into full general, skipping 2 ranks and his seniors to become head of state after abacha was murdered.

In a situation where a top military officer leading a nation dies or becomes incapacitated, his second-in-command takes over but in the case of abubakar, due process wasn't followed

The Abubakar story is not 100% correct when you talk about seniority.

Firstly he only skipped one rank, Lt General, however he was senior to Bamaiyi in 2 important ways.

Firstly he was CDS, and there is little doubt that is actually the most senior military office, and to be fair Nigeria has kept to that tradition since it was instituted.

Also he actually joined the military many years before Bamaiyi as an Airforce cadet and an Army officer later. Most military people tend to respect when you joined over even rank (secretly) as they know that was devoid of politics.

Also, if we're talking about the most senior officer at Abacha's death, Useni seniored all of them, including Abacha by when he first joined the military . He also seniored the rest by becoming a Lt General before all of them.

So anyway, the right call was made by the military during Abdulsalami's time , and obviously this later proved true for most Nigerians who wanted democracy ( at the rate they were enjoying, there was very little hope that Jerry boy or Bamaiyi would have handed over power to civilians).

Not strictly true again.

Adeosun stayed for 10 months after his junior was promoted to Lt Gen, outlasting the previous COAS.

In fact he served under 2 juniors, as Atahiru died in office and Yayha took over in the middle of 2021.

I do not believe there is any solid truth to the claim that Lt Gen is "reserved" for the COAS.

Adeosun case is the best example as he was promoted deep into Buratai's term as a Lt Gen and even outlasted Buratai who retired in Jan 2021, while a junior was made COAS and he (Adesosun) retired only in November 2021.

Buhari was the head of state when all of this happened so we cannot claim to understand Army tradition more than him.

RomanceRe: “this Legal Doctrine Has Made Many Nigerians Homeless — Don’t Fall Victim!” by AndroBlaze: 12:44am On Nov 04, 2025
Naijalegal:
Buying land that is the subject of a court case is extremely risky because your ownership rights depend entirely on how the court ultimately decides the matter.

For example, if two parties are in court over ownership of a piece of land, and one of them—who happens to be in possession, living on it, or farming it—sells it to you, your right to the land will still be affected by whatever decision the court reaches in that case. The most dangerous part is that you might not even know that a case exists, yet your purchase will still be bound by its outcome.

This situation is governed by a legal principle known as the Doctrine of Lis Pendens. Under this doctrine, once a piece of land is the subject of ongoing litigation, any sale, transfer, or transaction made by any of the parties to the suit during the pendency of the case is invalid, even if the purchaser bought the land without notice of the ongoing dispute. In other words, nobody has the right to sell land that is being contested in court until the case is fully resolved.

Furthermore, this restriction does not end at the High Court level. If there is an appeal—whether at the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court—the rule still applies. A person who buys land that is under appeal buys at great risk, because if the other party eventually wins at a higher court, ownership of the land automatically reverts to them, regardless of any structures or developments you may have made.

For instance, someone might approach you to buy a plot of land, show you a High Court or even a Court of Appeal judgment in their favor, and assure you that everything is in order. However, if the opposing party later appeals to the Supreme Court and wins, the land will belong to them—not you—despite the documents you have. In such a situation, you would have to vacate the property, even if you have already built on it.

In Nigeria, the Supreme Court is the final court of appeal. Until a case has been completely decided at the Supreme Court, the matter is not conclusively settled. Therefore, if a land case is still under appeal, it is unwise to buy, develop, or build on the property, because any actions you take could be nullified by a later judgment or court order.
Yes, extremely educative, nice one OP.

To My Fellow Muslims in Nigeria 🇳🇬
~ Ahmed Dayo Ladan.

Let’s be honest with ourselves no emotion, no sentiment, just truth.
Yes, Muslims have also been killed in this country. Nobody denies that. We’ve lost innocent lives in mosques, villages, and marketplaces from Zamfara to Borno. But let’s stop twisting facts: who are the killers?

Are they Christians? No.
Are they Jews? No.
Are they Buddhists? No.

They are Jihadists extremists who hide under the name of Islam to slaughter both Christians and Muslims who disagree with their madness.

So when Christians cry out that they are being massacred because of their faith, let’s stop rushing to say “Muslims are victims too.” That’s not the point. Christians are being targeted in the name of religion. Muslims are being killed for refusing to join in the madness. Both are victims but the ideology behind the killing wears a Jihadist face, not a Christian one.

No Christian has ever killed a Muslim in this country in the name of Jesus (pbuh). But how many times have we seen mobs shouting “Allahu Akbar” while burning churches and murdering innocent people? From Borno to Jos Plateau, from Kaduna to Yola these things happened, and we all know it.

Remember Deborah Yakubu in Sokoto?
She was lynched in broad daylight and many Muslims, including lawyers, defended her killers. That was the moment Nigeria lost its moral compass. Instead of defending justice, we defended evil because the victim was a Christian and the killers were Muslims.

That’s why the world no longer takes our defense seriously. We can’t claim to be victims while defending the monsters among us.
Until Muslims in Nigeria openly condemn and fight Jihadists with the same energy they defend Islam, this bloodshed will never end. Every time you justify or stay silent, you’re empowering those who destroy our image and faith.

Let’s stop being hypocritical. This isn’t about defending religion it’s about saving our humanity. Islam means peace, but too many people have turned it into a weapon.

We must unite Muslims and Christians against the Jihadists who have hijacked our country.
Enough is enough.
Silence is no longer an option.

Peace

During Private Meeting, Donald Trump Asked Me, ‘Why Are You Killing Christians In Nigeria?’ – Buhari.....

The statement partly read, “Recounting his private meeting at the White House with former President Donald Trump, the Nigerian leader recalls Trump asking him: “why are you killing Christians in Nigeria,” and how he proceeded to tell him that the issue in the country was not religious, but rather criminal, and a usage of religion by some elements to further their economic, and sometimes, political interests
So the question is this, what fundamentally has changed between the more than 7 years ago he asked this question and now?

Why are we so blessed that Trump is now remembering us Christians again and he wants to invade on our behalf..... or are the killings are now worse than under Buhari's time

The only concrete thing I can see is we have reduced our importation of refined product from them and reduced their market in the whole of West Africa due to Dangote's refinery...

...it seems to simplistic, but Trump will only commit troops when their is an economic gain , at least that's the idea about America First and Make America Great Again.
Christianity EtcRe: Deeper Life Church Denounces False Statement Against US Quoting Pastor Kumuyi by AndroBlaze: 6:33am On Nov 03, 2025
Elvis2kay:
For decades, the narrative was straightforward:
-
- *Africa extracts the oil,*

- *the West refines it,*

- *and Africa repurchases it at triple the price, with a sense of gratitude. Imagine that!*

Now, along comes Dangote with a game-changing refinery capable of processing 650,000 barrels per day.

- *The first shockwave hit when U.S. fuel export numbers began to falter. West Africa, that loyal customer, suddenly declared, “No thanks, we’ll refine it ourselves.” It’s akin to trying to sell umbrellas in a desert; that’s how America feels in the diesel market right now.*

- *Next came the petrodollar tremor. If Nigeria starts trading refined products in naira, yuan, or even “AfriPay,” it’s a direct challenge to Uncle Sam’s global ATM. The dollar resents competition; it tends to catch inflation fever when others assert their independence.*

- *Then there’s the geopolitical shift. Africa’s largest refinery means fewer oil tankers sailing from Texas and more from Lagos to Lome, all under African control. This isn’t merely energy trade; it’s energy liberation. And freedom, it seems, is bad for business.*

- *The fourth concern: The U.S. isn’t pleased to see Nigeria forging partnerships with China and India for refinery deals. It’s like watching an ex partner build a mansion with your rival. This refinery is fueled by Chinese investment and Indian technology—two domains America once dominated.*

- *Finally, the most profound headache: the symbolism. Dangote didn’t just construct a refinery; he erected a mirror reflecting what Africa could have been if it had ceased outsourcing its future decades ago.*

Now, Washington can no longer dispatch “economic advisers” and “development loans” laden with conditions. Africa might soon assert, “Thanks, but we’ve got this.”

Thus, Dangote’s refinery doesn’t merely refine oil; it refines pride, power, and perspective. For the first time, the most significant gas leak in the room isn’t from Nigeria; it’s from America’s anxiety.

*May Nigeria thrive.*
*God bless Africa.*

*God bless the black race.*
To be honest, when one thinks about it deeply, it is funny that when we stopped importing our crude oil (as petrol) back from the US, and the dollar starts falling, it is finally when they have now decided to invade us, for a problem they know we have had for over a decade.

From today, you will see how dollar will start rising again in our forex markets.

Trump can't continue this policy of causing instability in every country that has oil that is not dancing to his tune, this is not what will make America great again.
