FamilyRe: How My Brother-in Law Attempted To Have His Way With Me. by AndroBlaze: 11:16pm On Apr 09, 2023
Samantha124:
I have two brothers-in law and the first one started dating my sister while still in high school, him and I have that good brother and sister relationship. Sometimes we can even spent about 30 minutes talking over the phone and discussing about life in general and him telling me about the kids, that's how close we are.

As for the second brother In law, he started dating my sister while she was still in college, him and I have had a bit of differences in past because he has a drinking problem and I sometimes just don't like the way he behaves when he's drunk. But I accepted him as my brother in law because my sister loves him despite his drinking problem.

The main problem with my second brother in law started back in 2021, we were having a party at home and I decided to go to bed before everyone because I was tired. It happened that this brother in law of mine was drunk and he started embarrassing my sister and she decided to take him to the other room in the house and asked him to stay there. I was in my room sleeping, but not yet asleep when my room door opened and at first I thought it was just my mom, or one of my aunts or cousins. I expected the person to switch on the light since I switched it off, but this person started walking towards my bed. I lifted my head to check who it was and I found out that it was my second brother in law, I immediately dismissed him from my room.

I told everyone about it the following day except my father and my then boyfriend, who's now my fiance and they all laughed it off and said he was just drunk and lost, that I shouldn't make a big deal out of it. Fine, I let it go... Last year in August a close relative of ours was getting married and everyone traveled home to prepare for the wedding.

A day before the wedding my parents and two sisters decided that they were going to spent the night at the relative's place as they were help preparing for the wedding the following day, but I and my other sister were told to go home with our nephews and nieces... Later in the evening my sister brought my brother in law to the house and he had started embarrassing her again because he was drunk.. I was already in my room when they arrived, though I was not asleep, I decided to go and check on them because I can't stand my brother in law whenever he's drunk.... Apparently my sister immediately prepared a room for him to sleep in but he turned it down and said he was okay with sleeping on the couch in the living room... The room used to be previously my sister's before she got married and it's a bit far from the living room.

But mine is close to the living room, after he refused to go to the room that was prepared for him, my sister ended up giving him a blanket to sleep on the couch and she drove back to the relative's place. Everything seemed fine and we all went to sleep. While I was in my sleep I could hear some footsteps but at first it was like a dream, but then they started sounding like they were getting closer and they started to sound real... I immediately woke up and found my brother in law standing on my side of the bed, I jumped up from the bed and asked him what was he doing in my room, but he started apologizing and told me of how he thought it was the bathroom.

I was so scared I kicked him out of my room and locked the door, I checked the time and it was around 2am.. I Immediately called my sister and explained to her what her husband did and asked her to come and fetch him because he was scaring me... But she told me to just lock the door and don't mind him... I couldn't get some sleep since then and he came back to the door at around 4am and attempted to open it again, but it was locked.

In the morning I waited for him to leave the house first before I could get out of my room, I told the sister I was with in the house about it and she suggested that I tell Mom because Dad was going to overreact... I then told Mom and she said she'll see what she can do, I was hoping that she'll warn him about it, but to my surprise, she didn't do anything about it... I was hurt, but I let it go, again.

I could've told my fiance about it, but I didn't because I knew that there was going to be a fight if I did, and I didn't want a fight.

Now this past Thursday we traveled home for Easter and I was so happy to see my family again... As usual, we had a family chillax on Friday and everyone came through to hangout, this time my fiance was also there.. later in the afternoon I decided to go take a nap and I left everyone outside, as I was napping, I felt someone touch me and at first I thought maybe it was my fiance... I was shocked when I found out that it was my brother in law and he was trying to have his way with me but fortunately, I managed to screaming and everyone came running.

A fight broke out between him and my fiance and I was so scared because my brother in law is the kind of a person who likes carrying a gun with him, but they were separated... My father got to find out that I complained to my mom before about my brother in law, but she didn't do anything about it and now he's mad at my mom for letting things get this far.

Now the family is divided... I love my sister, nephews and niece, I don't want to cut ties with them because of her husband and their father, but I don't know how I'm going to do it because I don't want anything that has to do with my brother in law.. Some say I should press charges for attempted rape, while others say that I should let the family elders intervene... I'm still confused right now, I don't know what to do.

I just can't help but feel guilty that if I had told my Dad about the whole thing from 2021, all of this would've been prevented.

Sometimes it feels like you South Africans live on another continent....a typical Nigerian man would have been to ashamed of the whole family finding out, he would have tried to use money or some other art of persuasion to get you to do what he wants you to do.

Ever since I read about the "risen" facebook rapist its clear you guys will do anything when it comes to love/lust.

I wish you the best, but think you need to always stay away from this so called inlaw.

You completely missed the message because you want to attack; as a matter of fact, you completely derailed from the logic and rationale behind my advice for the young man.

I never blamed nor castigated him, did you see any? I only advised him.

Point out a line or paragraph in what I typed that could further worsen his case or make him stray. Your guess is as good as mine, you can't find any.

Now look at what you just said!! Are you really trying to help him with that kind of advice?

You (and many others) gave poor and unnatural advice and I rightly called you out on it.

The poor boy is clearly not ready to get married as he lacks maturity and has not stated any serious relationship he is in. Anyone advocating he gets married to prevent sins of the flesh (which the bible says he is already knee deep in) is an extremist and a clown. Simple.

You then go on to belittle his predicament by proffering different ways he can take his mind off of it, did you not read that he has been trying to do this already.... one of the silliest mistakes we can make in life is to think everyone is like us and give advice based on that notion instead of accepting people for who they are.

There is nothing wrong with the OP, unfortunately for him his problem is that he probably has people like you as male mentors who refuse to tell him the truth.

I stand by my criticism of your (and many others on here) unhelpful and illogical advice (using your poor understanding of religion as a cloak), it creates perverts and perversions everywhere (eg. the young choirmaster I pointed out that ended up raping and killing an innocent woman).
RomanceRe: Should I Have Sex? Advise Me. by AndroBlaze: 10:43am On Apr 08, 2023
thedarkened:
Op take this advice!!

It's better not to taste it (sex) at all in the first place, because the moment you taste it, you crave for more; it's just how our body system is wired.

If you are incapacitated to marry at this time, which of course I strongly recommmend, then I advise you to keep yourself very busy; be occupied with one or two things, like the skill you are learning.

Try to avoid situations that would make you be idle and carried away in thought about stuff like that. Visit friends if need be;just be occupied.

Also, avoid situations that would make you be alone with the opposite sex (this increases one's vulnerability level; it's not always the devil, we can cause it too).

Meanwhile, when you are alone, think positively, take your mind off erotic thought and contents. Mind you, it will come but the moment it comes, be proactive now to think of what you could replace that thought with.

Please note that, sexual immorality does not only occur when there is peneration of the female genitals; masturbation, touching of the opposite sex private parts or genitals, deep kissing of one who's not one's spouse etc are all under the umbrella of sexual immorality.

Finally, I could see you really want to stop, therefore don't rule out the impact of prayer. Talk to God like a son would demand things from the father. Tell him how you feel and how you so much want to stop this, he sees your heart and would definitely help;cry to him if need be, he will help.

I believe this will pass!!!!

All these people advising you that the moment you "taste it" you will become an addict are just clowns...OP I will advise you for the last time, be natural, read your bible "clearly", God has always preferred those who are natural and imperfect (Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon, Paul (look at his past)) to those who will strangle this life with their holier than thou pretentious attitudes (Pharisees and nigerian christians).

Their are so many people who have had sex once and never gone back or show serious lack of interest....if your body continues to need it after your first experience, it is because that is the way you are naturally, simple, not listening to your body will only make it worse...I personally know of no young man who craved sex more after his first time than before he had it, I seriously despise people who give young men this kind of perverted advice of "abstinence is the only way to stop addiction", utter rubbish!!

Op, seriously you need a girlfriend before you rape someone.

The bolded might sound like a joke, but if you had a senior brother or uncle you trusted, he would have since given you the same advice.

Religious people need to learn to stop trying to be innately who you were not created to be, even Paul said clearly that instead of burning needlessly (and some even assaulting boys), go and marry. Yes you cannot marry yet, but God made you good looking, girls are naturally all over you, yet you are burning like charcoal, and still asking what nexthuh

Their was a recent pathetic story here of a good looking young choirmaster who raped and killed a beautiful innocent girl in Jos all because of sex.... sex is so overrated that one of the only ways to find out how overrated it is to engage in it and clear your mind, majority of guys once their head have cleared usually regret the pedestal that they put sex on and the stupid decisions they made before the "clearance". But most people cannot reach this stage by putting the cart before the horse, its just one of the peculiarities of life.

Your body has become an unnecessary inferno from what you have typed, follow your body naturally before you continue to get deeper into unnatural things that make you commit bigger sins (underaged girls, rape etc). Do not underestimate the grace of God who created you the way he created you, just be natural and move on.

oldienavie:
I am a single man in my early 30s, I used to have a girlfriend some couple years ago .
She cheated on me, I didnt break up with her but the relationship just kinda died and she moved on .

She started dating another guy but I was also sleeping with her occasionally cos she liked me, anyway, the guy found out and he decided he was not going to marry her, but somehow she got pregnant for the guy.
I was already out of the country when she got pregnant for him.

The guy wanted her to abort but she wouldn't, she has a beautiful daughter now, she is not doing so bad as she works with one of the top banks as she is very comfortable.
Because of the trauma she suffered during pregnancy, she became close to me as the boyfriend totally abandoned her and the guy has not set eyes on the daughter till today, the daughter is now 6 years old.

I have been out of the country for 7 years and I am due to be back in Nigeria in a few weeks time, I am going back to purposely to look for a wife, we are going to be in the same city .

We currently talk everyday and it has been like that since more than 6 years ago, she is not dating anyone at the moment and she also knows I am coming to look for a wife.

Its almost certain that we are going to get back to having sex as its just obvious despite that we have never discussed that, its hard to really stay away from her but not impossible I am thinking there is nothing wrong having her as a Friend With Benefit pending when I get a wife that I want to marry and then discharge her.

Will it be possible to be Friend With Benefit with her and easily discharge her when I find another woman I want to marry without issues ? I love her and would have considered marrying her if not for the history that we shared, we have now become the best of friends, but I am just confused if resuming sex with her will not make it difficult to keep her away from me when I find another woman.

You know women can be very emotional .

Interesting but I think you can avoid sleeping with her if you want too. You guys have a strong emotional connection, which is extremely clear from your writeup, also its clear that you have a strong physical connection to her.....but imagine once you get into Nigeria and she now doesn't want to sleep with you...my brother it will drive you crazy! If I was her friend I'd advise her to play this trick on you and all this one that you are saying you can't marry her because she cheated and has a baby will be stories for the gods.

You are the one who has asked for advice so I would strongly advise that you control the power dynamic immediately and not sleep with her if you know in your heart of hearts you can't marry her ever. My fear is once you start sleeping with her again, even if you marry someone else you will always go back to her to share those moments.

But honestly, I actually think it would be better for both of you if you could get over the past and just try again sha...but trust me,I understand your predicament as a man and not wanting all that baggage.

I wish you all the best.

That is one thing this Yoruba bigots don't know.

Up to 99% of Igbos living in Lagos don't even know his mother is Igbo. These Yoruba bigots are making Gbadebo's mom's heritage a big issue in this election, not knowing that they probably getting Igbos to realise this fact.

Whether they like it or not, Igbos and SS people in Lagos have a huge population. Add the real indigenes of Lagos to it, and you can see why Gbadebo's electoral chances are not bad. If Yoruba bigots think they are killing Gbadebo's chances, they are making a huge mistake.
They tried the same thing with Obi and Afenifere-led Yorubas, SSners and Igbos of Lagos taught them a lesson in the presidential election.

Yoruba bigots are unknowingly motivating SSners and Igbos in Lagos to come out and vote for Gbadebo massively.
He will be the first indigenous governor of Lagos that is not tied to the Tinubu shackles.

Not true , the 2nd elected governor of Lagos, Sir Michael Otedola is an indigenous Lagosian.

It can’t be called the 25th state requirement because additional states can be created today and the 2/3 requirement stands.

The constitution could’ve said

“25% in 2/3 of all the states including the FCT” and then clarified on the next line that FCT is considered as a state for this requirement,

OR

“25% in 2/3 of all the states and 1 additional state or the FCT”

OR

“25% in 2/3 of all the states not including the FCT”

The constitution didn’t say any of those, it rather said

“25% in 2/3 of all the states and the FCT” which means you need 25% in the FCT and 2/3 of all the states.

Please read the links, especially the BBC one, most Lawyers agree it was written poorly but the consensus of them understand the meaning and legally justified the way they explained by quoting sections of the constitution that justify their interpretation.

At the end of the day laws are written by men and logic must always be used when interpreting.

If you support an injustice now, it will comeback to haunt you, that is the law of the world and those who God chooses to grant long life to will always see these things and laugh about it.

I'm just a trader and would love to get clarity on this

Can I become a president of FRN if I meet other constitutional requirements without making 25% in FCT ?

I will copy and paste an answer I had dropped 2 days ago even before Abuja election results came in...but as a trader and a logical human being, do you think somebody should not be president of a whole Nigeria because he cannot get 25% in only one area in Nigeria that had a population that was less than some local governments just a few years back? What sense does it make, and imagine if the FCT was still Lagos as it was before, that means we Southerners could always engineer that no Northerner would ever be president...just think about it. Who would agree to that kind of rule?? What if I win all 36states in Nigeria but cannot get 25% in FCT, what should happen to me?

Workch:
As it stands.

According to constitution, winner must get 25% in FCT

Actually, like I have said before, even if the candidate does not get 25% in Abuja, if he get 25% in a 25th state, he will win. Abuja is not a state and thats why it is always mentioned by name. It should be called the 25 state rule
