No rumour has been debunked till the new contract is signed and announced. As for incentivized, how would we know? John Stones figure there is an improved contract that was recently signed. He earned far less in 2015-16.

Between 250-320k a week before bonuses which pushes it to 385K. That means the base is 250K. Sportrac is not tier 1 for City - anyone who knows City should know this. Netspend means nothing, after all, trophies/money spent City is doing far better than Liverpool which means, they spend less to win more than Liverpool.

Nobody is arguing that Liverpool's wages were not incentivized. Even Salah's proposed new contract, Auba's last contract at Arsenal, Alexis Sachez's at United were all incentivized. DeBruyne's nonetheless. That figure you have for him for e.g is a contract he signed in 2021 and Salah is asking Liverpool for 500K because Liverpool pays very good wages even if they spend less than City on transfers.

Now you brought up salaries, I'm talking salaries but you've shifted to players City have moved on which has no bearing on this debate because Liverpool and every other club has also moved on players within that time period. Also, the players moved on most times didn't go for free which also factors into the NetSpend. Liverpool having a larger squad means higher number of people earning wages...

DeBruyne earns 385K per week with incentives. The argument did not shift and nobody was focusing on moved players. City spent whatever figure you had on 477 players compared to other English big teams that spent comparable amounts on 369-417 players. So my point was, City bought more players with more money even when many of those players never featured (which means they did not play a role in City's success). In fact, City have spent less for more trophies than Liverpool if we divide the number of trophies won per money spent.

Your response is defensive and obviously mostly false - the team with 3 (soon to be 4) EPLs in 5 (6) years will pay out more bonuses than the other with 1 in the same 5(6) years. Then Liverpool squad being larger is the 'rules for thee but not rules for me' argument because when you listed how much City had spent on transfers, they have bought significantly more players per the overall transfer fee compared to all the other teams. Pablo Mari that was just loaned out by Arsenal, Douglas Luiz in Aston Villa are 2 players whose names are amongst those listed as the players City spent billions on even when those players never played one game for City. And there are like 15-20 other names like that.

Steph Curry's issue...hmmm. Let us just hope he will figure it out during the playoffs. I don't think he has marriage issues (forget the rumours about an open marriage). His wife sternly denied it and I believe her. If his shooting issues had started beginning of the season, I would have suspected maybe even his parent's marriage. But for now, I think maybe he is distracted by his life outside of basketball especially after eclipsing Ray Allen's record. The underlying issue was that Netspend does not factor wage bill. Believe me, every club's wage bill is incentivized. As City did not win the UCL last season, many of the figures you saw there would not be maxxed out.

Just like the example you gave above, Team B could also be paying the players more money which is not covered with the transfer fee and Netspend argument. That is not to say money does not help with succeeding.
