1. Site needs a visual lift. It's been the same for a very long time. Infact, copy a little from the successful platforms like facebook, twitter, reddit etc. but add the 'naija' flavour to it. Note that your front page is the soul of the site. Focus heavily on it. 2. Tell your mods to remain as neutral as possible regarding 'free speech' on this platform. Yes, clamp down on hate speech and trolls, but don't shadow-ban accounts for voicing out their thoughts here. 3. Advertisers are the driving force for revenue to you and the team, but don't sell your soul for a few million bucks. Let Nairaland speak positively for you in your absence. |

My daughter is about the same age as this kid. I can not even think about such happening to her. I can commit murder and damn the consequences. |
In this era of WAEC scratch card, she would have still been discovered during her clearance period during her graduation. |

There is a feature on all DJI drones that makes you set a battery percentage level (example 25%-30%) and if the drone battery gets to this level, it will initiate an auto "return home" feature and ensures the drone returns back to either the initial take-off spot or the remote controller. Also, if you fly the drone too far away and signal is lost, it uses the GPS feature on the drone to return automatically to it's take-off spot. theTranslator: |
Naturally, companies in this kind of situation do the following; 1. Cut down costs (Temporal salary reduction until things stabilize, termination of unnecessary payments etc) 2. Job losses (unfortunately!) 3. File for bankruptcy. |

Without any database to know the number of Nigerians (other countries have schemes like civil IDs, social security numbers etc.), this can not work. |
Imagine another country giving conditions on how to spend our own money before giving it to us...and there is nothing we can do but say "yes sir" otherwise the matter go enter voicemail. Shame on us. Corruption will be the death of us. |

Monthly Rent. Pros: 1. Puts Landlords on the squeeze. They have to maintain their building to standard as a tenant can easily move to another apartment at any time he/she wishes. 2. Income generation is gotten faster by the landlords. It can make the accommodation industry boom as people would prefer to enter the business. 3. Competition. Better houses/apartments to please potential tenants. 4. As it is done abroad, amenities like water/power bills, etc. are handled by the landlord although the Postpaid meters can move this responsibility to the tenants and there is no fear of accumulated bills for a new tenant moving into a new apartment. Cons. 1. Erratic payments by potential tenants can destroy this model. Tenants can easily frustrate the landlord into bankruptcy. 2. Nigeria is not a credit friendly country. These foreigners live on credit. They pay their bills and feed on credit and work to pay off their debt in the bank. Nigeria doesn't support such a system (which is a good thing in my opinion). 3. This model brings about a lack of savings culture. If one loses his/her job, it could easily lead to homelessness if another job is not gotten almost immediately. A yearly rent system creates a sort of cushion in such instances. |
I will not be surprised if the drone being celebrated here is the common DJI Drones that wedding/event coverage folks use. |
You argued politics with your boss and then you probably went to rub it in when Buhari won? You're very stupid. |
