They cannot charge the other occupants of the car for the same crime. Nigerians should not just be too emotional on this. With a valid d/l, his case should have been manslaughter.

The owner of the said car also has a case to answer for giving out his car to a person without a valie D/L. Driving without a valid D/L and insurance is a criminal offence and the offender is guilty.
