I keep saying this that the NYSC scheme has outlived it's use to this society. Young men and women of the poor have died as a result of going to serve their father land that NEVER ever added any meaningful value to their individual life.

The people that have been benefiting from the NYSC scheme are the directors and that oversees the NYSC scheme. They know that they make money to the detriment of these young men and women.

It is high time NYSC is scrapped. The government should rather replace NYSC by empowering youths after graduation to go into mechanized farming. Provide soft loans to all graduates living school and monitor what and how they use that loan within a yr and see the value it will add to the society.
