Because of the convenience and reliability of that method. If she hadn't removed it, most likely this complaint will not come up, baring a 'miracle'. Permanent sterilization methods are available but they also have their consequences on the sex lives of those involved. That's why hormonal methods are preferred, easily reversible when needed, cost-effective and satisfying.
Really, I love your answer. It makes a lot of sense and isn't sentimental.

Smh... This is exactly why most of you are beaten blue-black like Mercy Aigbe.
You always claim right for silly reasons. I guess the man should have a vasectomy to prove he's helpful and part of the family planning.
Really? That's all you can say? Silly reasons? So I guess a woman is always responsible for a guy beating her abi? The woman is always at the wrong I guess.

The funny thing is that I asked another person the exact question I asked you and he answered it more reasonably and without any sentiment.
No one said the wife had no blame in the issue but why is the husband putting the whole blame on her as if she did it alone. Besides you shouldn't make judgements with just one side of a story, there are always two sides of it (unless you've concluded that the wife is always at the wrong)

I'm not being sentimental nor am I siding with the wife cause I'm a girl but people always think they're right base on their point of veiw. If the man doesn't want more children why can't he have a vascotomy? Because he's a man and he isn't supposed to or what? There are different ways you could've answered the questions that'll be reasonable and objective but you gave no valid answer except excusing domestic violence against women. sad

If you read the page properly, you would have seen where he took the woman to a hospital and put her on family planning. But the ekwensu secretly removed it, cos she wanted to render the man useless, so she could control him.
Is she the only one that has to go on family planning? Why doesn't he go on it too? After all, he doesn't want more babies.

He had to take her to the hospital where they implanted a family planning device in her but she went and removed it secretly. Didn't you get that?
That's what I don't get, why does she have to be the one to go to 'family planning' if he's the one not interested in having many babies? huh Why not go for the alternative and do the one meant for males? Why putting the blame solely on the wife when he a a choice too in the matter?

This Buhari's case is a very pathetic one and we all need to learn a lesson or two from it!

PMB has been clamouring for this power since 2003, that's 14 years ago, 12 years before he was eventually voted into the power. Throughout this 12 years, it was never reported in any local or foreign newspaper that he's this seriously sick, not until he got into power. Since he got into power two years ago, he has been battling with illness that warrants his continuous travelling out of the country. That illness has now gotten to the extent that he want to be ruling from home! How pathetic!

He got the power but lost his health! How pathetic again!

IT'S INDEED THE LORD THAT GIVES WITHOUT ADDING SORROW!
So in other words, God is behind his illness (punishing him for not giving up and striving to succeed instead) and you are happy about it.
Probably just as he punishes anyone who strives to succeed irrespective of past failures abi? Great!! undecided

Really? Is that so? Are talking about people who converted to Christianity? What about pastors who converted to Islam? Islam is not an entity, its a religion. Did you see the photo of Muhammad (s.a.w) in hell fire? Or is it your deluded hell? How are you sure you won't be the one going to hell? Cause Jesus died for your sins and you can keep sinning as lon as you believe he died for your sins and you will go to heaven abi? Clap for yourself and keep judging. Quote one verse of the Quran that shows its evilness. The war verses? Aren't there war verses in the bible? Even Moses killed and asked his men to kill. Does that mean he's in hell too? Are you a hypocrite or are you just plain ignorant? None would be surprising really.

Jesus isn't my personal Lord and Savior, God is. The only thing Jesus did to save was guiding people to the right part. The fact that you have a different opinion doesn't mean you are right. We can keep arguing left and right but I'm sure you won't change your mind because your ignorance has blinded you. If you want to make a sound argument, provide chapter and verses to back yourself up 'saint who's going to heaven'. Keep judging and you'll be the one to be judged if you aren't careful. You wanna cast the first stone? Go ahead and do it. It's useless arguing with your kind and I have better things to do than it. Continue, no more replies from me.

2) The fact that you NEVER SAW the person reading, DOES NOT mean that the person is not ready.

It's not about seeing or thinking he's not reading. It's just stating things that are not only true but are facts.
Just like saying plant will die without water or a person will starve and get malnourished if he doesn't eat for days. This are facts not that the person stating it mean he's not reading or eating, just stating what will happen if he doesn't.

Madam, please get this into your head right now: THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE TRUTH ABOUT THE FUTURE.

Everything you say about the future is a mere SPECULATION which may or may not come to pass.

So when you want to make a statement (or give advice) about ANOTHER PERSONS future, do not present your idea, opinion, assumption and speculations as the TRUTH, because it's not.

Ascribing to your opinion the status of truth is like playing God in another person's matter.

That's both foolish and offensive.
So, you mean if I tell someone that he'll fail without reading for exams is just mere speculations and not the truth and fact? I'm playing god with that person? Well it'll be a speculation if that person plans on passing through examination malpractice.

Do you think God answers prayers of lazy people who don't back up their prayers with hard work? Or maybe it's always supposed to be through a miracle. Like a person who keeps praying and fasting for success in an exam yet writes nothing except his name. That person failing is a speculation because he might actually pass abi?

You want me to say building another country and succeeding is easy? Okay it is easy. I'm sorry for pointing otherwise. grin

I take Biafra issue personal.
Stop being a hypocrite, though. It's not a good attribute.
I'm not being a hypocrite. If being honest means I am, then okay. If that's the way you feel.

What brought about me mentioning the northern crisis I escaped from is different from the Biafra issue. It all started with the Fulani herdsmen comments about how Buhari was the one backing them even though the issue had started since Buhari even became the President. I didn't blame Good luck for that crisis. I'm sure if one of the parties fighting that war was his tribe, people will blame him for it. We all like pointing fingers and hate taking blames, that's the honest truth about it. Our mentality is one of our main problems not Nigeria. Nigeria is just a name. The people make up the country.

Anyone willing to create another country should be set free to do so. If we want to make a difference we should consider changing our mentality. Its not only tribalism and religious favoritism, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Medakeke and ife were both Yoruba's but their hatred for one another had caused many deaths and heart breaks.

You think even if a country is made up of the same tribe it will eradicate segmentation? Religion will still be a source of segmentation, even in the same religion, they'll say this person is favouring that person because they worship in the same church. What about clans and states? Aren't those excuses and causes too? Not forgetting parties too.

Biafra has my best wishes and I have nothing against them. But if they truly want to succeed they should make adequate plans, change some of their mentalities and learn from mistakes made in this country. It won't be easy, that's the bitter truth, anyone who tries to point otherwise is a liar, but there's also a chance for success if the work very hard and don't repeat mistakes they should've learned from.

Where did I compel anyone to do anything? Pointing the truth out means compelling them? Huh guess I missed that memo.

All tribes against Igbo? What about Niger Delta people?

I'm not against anyone prevailing, I just pointed out that building a new country is not any less difficult than repairing an old one, which if you face it, is the truth.

Really? Evil in them? You think all northerners are Muslims? What evil are you even talking about? Are you pure enough to judge other people?

Who told you they refuse Jesus(peace be upon him)? Do you know Jesus is one of the greatest prophet in their religion and in fact a whole chapter was dedicated to his mother? Or is it just because what they believe and know about his is different from yours?

Evil you say? Is there any religion in this world that doesn't have evil seeds? Do you mean that makes the religion evil? Do you know the basics of their religion? Did Jesus even asked you to jugdge anyone? Did he give you that authority? What about loving and praying for your enemies? Isn't that what Jesus said to his followers? Are you following that command? You claim you don't hate them but you are wishing them bad instead of praying for them? If this is your mentality then you aren't a true follower of Jesus(peace be upon him)!

Good!

But for God to hear your prayer, you should learn to HONESTLY wish others well in their own noble endeavors and aspirations too.

God is a respecter of no man or woman. What you sow to others in your thoughts is likely what God will let happen in your personal space.

One more thing, God ditastes lying lips and hypocritical minds.

So if truly you care less, why open this thread?

Why make refrence to a nay sayer and assert his baseless assumptions as enlightening?

Why put "easy" in quotes when talking about the building of the new nation you claim to not care about?

God is not a Man. And he hates prayers that emanete from dishonest hearts.

Only witches and wizards impose their wills on others in the name of prayers.
One thing with our mentality is that, anyone who tells us the bitter truth is like our worst enemies.

So because I'm pointing out the truth makes me a dishonest and wicked person, it's all right.

When you tell someone not to start a new business without a good businesses plan, and you prepare and enlighten him that it might go wrong, they start seeing you as a devil against their success.

If you tell a child to read well for jamb else he'll fail. He'll start telling people that you're praying for his failure. When in all truth you are advising him and telling him the reality.

God sees my mind so I don't need to defend my intentions. One thing with us is that when we have a particular mindset, anyone trying to change it and give us a reality check is an enemy. Changing that mindset becomes tougher than pulling out a tooth with a bubble gum. We prefer to remain in our little dream fantasyland. Well there's no use anyways.

I'm not against Nigeria dividing or Nigeria remaining as one but I was trying to reason with people, I guess was an error in my part.
I won't try to reason anymore, I'll rather sit in a conner and watch.

As for me being a Yoruba or not, I don't have to prove anything to anyone. If having a different point of view from you makes me a person from a different tribe, so be it. I won't defend my heritage because I don't have to.

I say my mind irrespective of my tribe or any other tribe that might get offended. I'm not against anyone creating their own country.

You think we don't have any problem when we question each others heritage just because we have different points of view. Is there a law that states that all people of the same tribe must think and reason in the same way, and anyone who dares to have a different points of view should give proofs of his lineage or better still is denouncing his heritage? I left the north because I alone couldn't stop the problem and I didn't delude myself into thinking i could. Just one person can't make a difference where others aren't ready for it.

Yet I won't blame another person for the problem we cause as Nigerians are often good at. We don't like taking responsibilities for our actions, it is always easier to point fingers. When a man kills and he's caught, he blames the devil for it not himself. The Fulani herdsmen issue had started way before Buhari became the President but we'll still blame him anyways cause it would be positive to all our reasonings right?
