Deputy President of the Senate, Mr Ike Ekweremadu, has advised security agencies to always be cautious when quelling disturbances and protests to avoid unnecessary loss of lives. Ekerenmadu made the call at the Senate on Tuesday while speaking on Monday’s clashes between Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and security operatives some states in South-East and Delta. He said that the country had witnessed a lot of unnecessary killings arising from clashes by members of the public and security agencies. According to Ekweremadu, the protest by IPOB, which led to bloody clashes in Delta and Anambra could have been handled differently. `I will like to use this opportunity under Order 43 to say that the security agencies must apply caution in trying to quell disturbances. “We have had so much of blood bath in this country under different circumstances and we cannot continue to lose young men and women because the future of this country belongs to them. “It is important that this senate rise to condemn any act of killing in any part of this country, especially with the one that concern the major part of our future which remains the youth. “We are now in a democracy and people should be entitled to speak their minds and to assemble under responsible circumstances. “Security agencies must also be responsible in dealing with those circumstances to ensure that lives are not lost unnecessarily. “I just wish to bring to the notice of the senate for us to take note and possibly, the states involved to set up enquiry to find out what led to these clashes,” he said. The issue was, however, not debated by the Senate. In his remarks, President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, said that although there could not be any debate on the matter, it was necessary that actions were taken on it. “I think that the point he has raised must draw attention of all and see what necessary action will be taken in other to address this matter,” he said.

IPOB announced that today will be a remembrance day for fallen Biafran heros.Yesterday,some group of "joyless face" men suspected to be members of Niger Delta Avengers Militant group came to Nkpor Junction in Onitsha and payed obeisance to the statue of Late Ojukwu standing there.As at the time of writing this,Heavy Military presence is being felt in Onitsha,no movement of Vehicles,Closure of markets and office.There was also a moment of heavy gunshots at Nkpor Junction a couple of minutes ago .

There is nothing like Politics and Religion, we are even praying to have more men of God in politics so that our dear country will be saved. For your information, Pope is the president of Vatican, Rev Fr. Moses Adasu was a governor of Benue state, Sarduana of sokoto, then premier norther, was head of Islam in Nigeria, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon etc were all men of God but the led their people. I have asked these questions to all IPOB members but nobody has ever given me answers. I think this is an opportunity to ask his father as he claimed that his son is so intelligent. Everytime, i hear that Nnamdi Kanu is well educated, he studied abroad but i have not heard about his area of qualification or the school he attended.

1. I heard Nnamdi Kanu dropped out from UNN because of Strikes, please i will like to know the name of the school he attended in London?

2. What course or discipline did he read?

3. When did he enter the London school and when did he graduated?

4. Where has he worked after graduation or in his entire life?

Check all his biography no such information is there. Do not be fooled by london 419ers and peddlers.

. I think the writer is talking about impending menace during rainy season. The road should be dry by now but he/she is trying to inform the government of the coming rainy season and the likely result if the road is not attended to. And i believe it will be worse this time around because of more damage done to road this dry season. Besides, what is government doing to the contractor awarded the road contract?

This is pathetic. I know S.I.O and federal college road along asaba-benin expressway. It is very bad to have such a bad road within delta state capital and very close to the government house. I believe the new governor will start work on this road immediately. The governor is already working and i believe he will save those residents from impending menace. I will also like to thank the new governor for his effort so far. May God Bless you. I have been to that area during rainy season, that road is truely the worst road within a state capital in Nigeria.
