Leaving them to be buried there will show we have a great level of disrespect and disregard for our own. We have let them carry out their law on them. The least FG can do now is send their remains to their families so they could give them a proper burial.

Those states are not hated. Ebonyi people are really nice people and they make good neighbours, except people consider them sometimes as primitive because of their core accent and how they behave, but that doesn't equate hatred.

I personally think Imo and Abia are one and the same people and don't see how calling one without the other becomes hatred.

It's a condition called MRKH (Mayer Rokitansky Küster Hauser) and it's characterised by the absence of the vagina, cervix and/or womb. Instead of the vaginal hole, there is a huge "dimple"

Women with the condition appear completely normal externally - which means it is usually not discovered until a woman tries to have sex, or has not had her first period.

You guys can't lie that you never had a pretty cousins you used to fantasise about.

As a teenager, I had a pretty cousin with one of the hottest bodies I've ever seen. We grew up together and she kept getting better & better damn!!! At a point we couldn't keep hands off each other, heck!! We used to play kissing games in the presence of my mum when she's not looking... We loved the thrill.

Op this shouldn't be strange to you. It happens all the time.

Close relationships between male and female cousins should be closely monitored and even discouraged, because they're always always beyond what you see. Forget the word "cousins", they're still human beings with hormones. Except of course in societies where it's accepted.

And I think it's really unnecessary telling your friend since they're no longer together

I personally think it's better off giving up the baby to someone who would raise them up as their own rather than abandoning them by a road side to die. The woman would have used the 300k to start over,maybe a new business and make something out of her life..if she has learned.

Blame this new trend on the Nigerian adoption system that has made adopting children so expensive and much more difficult than obtaining a Canadian visa. People now resort to "easier" methods of adoption.

And that child in the picture can't be the supposed three-day old baby huh

You have no idea how strict these Indonesians can be with their laws. The Australian Government did everything they could to stop the execution of their citizens Chan and Sukuraman, all to no avail. How much more nigerians?

How could they have cancelled their wedding when nobody knew there'd be supplementary elections in certain states after April 11?

The police should have conveyed them to their wedding venue with their own vehicle or escorted them

I would have agreed with you but truth is we do not know how true or honest she would have been if she knew the bag she held contained such amount of money. Like every other lost and found bag in an airport, she returned it to the security who scanned it, only then did she know the contents of the bag. Do you think the story would still be the same if she knew before then?

Well don't assume for them. A masters degree doesn't have to take anyone away from home. So For now according to the story in the post,no one can really say what his reasons are for not supporting her her educational advancement.

I wish I were optimistic like you to believe that no right thinking man in this century wants a woman that's not progressing financially or academically.
Just do a little opinion poll on nairaland alone and you will see that such men abound.

I have profiled most Nairaland males, and majority of them are BOYS. These are not the kind of people you want to base your opinion upon my dear. Men these days boast how their wives are either directors or even CEOs in their own companies. I've met a number of them so I know. They say surround yourself with the people on the same mission as you.

But I'm not arguing with you. Like you said, we do not know the entire story, so we don't know what his real reasons are. But something tells me it's the timing that's the issue here

Honesty I think the only reason this is conflicting for her is the fact that her mum said he is not the will of God for her. I hate it when mothers get in the way using religious sentiments. She should be able to make decisions based on her own choice.

Yes, I am one of those super ambitious ladies and I understand how she wants to make her own money and be independent, but getting a masters degree does not in anyway guarantee she'd get a decent job immediately, talk-less that dream job. And besides if she really wants to get a masters degree, can't she do so after her wedding? I'm sure that's the reason the man gave her an ultimatum and not because he doesn't want her to further her education.

Then again, getting married to a man who works in an oil company may be all she needs to get that dream job, even without a masters degree, as she would get to meet her husband's friends and colleagues who have the connections to get her one. You know how it is about getting jobs in Nigeria

People should stop blaming the man as I do not see him as one who is controlling and doesn't want the best for his woman. At 27, the lady is still very immature when it comes to decision making. She knows what she wants but doesn't known how to set her priorities wisely

it's hardest to bear when you know the victim personally. Was devastated hearing this news last Saturday. He was always playful and friendly back in those days before he left for the UK. He's not the type you'd expect at such party, but you never know what he was going through at that point
