There's no justification whatsoever..I went to a bar on friday night and i saw some Ashhh/runs chiks flaunting their goods and at the same time i saw other ladies in uniforms serving drinks, others making shawarma by the side and others making pepper soup and Asun and i got to know that the lady making the shawarma owns the shawarma spot which she started two years ago.... you and those hardworking ladies chose the honourable way while your friend chose her path, the path of dishonour and there will be consequences..There is no excuse, your friend could have worked her way up and not by selling her GOODS..

*shrugs too*.

In the last part of your previous comment, you said that I should not judge them until I read their story.

That statement of yours got me confused, all I did was list the pitiable life the live here and ask if the benefit is worth what the pass through.

Please tell me, where and how did I judge them?
You created this thread because u feel it's wrong for a lady without a job to leave her family house and go live in the city, in a way that's judging them. That's why I used a case study of someone I know to explain that some don't want to stay back in their family houses because they take up the responsibility of catering for that same family, and maybe they feel getting a regular job won't cut it for them.

Well I wouldn't know if what they go through to make the money is all worth it, but they wouldn't keep doing it if they didn't think so. Don't be confused Mr, I do not and will never support a girl going after men for money to survive, but if a grown lady chooses that path for herself, then goodluck to her.

I've grown and learnt to live my life by my own principles and not minding how others choose to live theirs. Do you get my point now?

Young lady....there is no good justifiable reason for being a runs girl or venturing into prostitution....I hope you don't envy her sha?.....cus even the Bible says that...we shouldn't envy the wealth of the unrighteous.

The last thing I'm doing is envy her oo, because while I know she's doing very well, I also know of some bad experiences she's been through. I sooo can't keep up with such lifestyle.
Family / Re: Living In The City Without A Job, How Ladies Cope. by anitank(f): 9:51am On Feb 15, 2015
I know of one who caters for her entire family(mum and two brothers) with such lifestyle. After their dad died, their rich inlaws left them with nothing. While her actions are not justifiable, she is determined to pull her family up rather than let them pull her down. I only know of this one because she's a family friend.

And did I mention she's doing way better than me doing a regular 8-6 job and still searching for a dream job? She bought a car for her mum last year and is planning on building her a house soon

Like someone said, don't judge them all cos u don't know their story

Crime / Re: I Have Good News Today! My Mom Has Been Released From SARS by anitank(f): 12:03am On Feb 15, 2015
I am glad your mum has been released but I don't think this case is close to being over...I hope I'm wrong.

What most people here don't understand is that the bank may have nothing to do with your mother's arrest directly, all they want is their money. All blames lie on the valuer Naomi because the info she gave the bank concerning the collateral was completely different from what they eventually saw, hence their rejecting the actual collateral. This case wouldn't have escalated this way but for Naomi's laziness. All she needed do was wait a few more minutes for your dad so they could go together to the actual property. Instead she took pictures of the wrong property and sent to the bank. The bank may or may not have given the loan if they didn't think the collateral was worth it.

I'm quite certain the bank got into some sort of feud with the valuer for giving them wrong informations about the collateral and so she is trying everything possible to make it look like she was fooled by your family thereby involving the SARS, and I don't think she's done....such heartless and evil woman I must add.

Your family needs to get a better lawyer and do what needs to be done ASAP!!!

Goodluck and best regards to your dear mum

Very well articulated and composed. He answered every question with such great composure and confidence without direct insults to anybody or party. Very professional! I particularly like the way he tackled the question about giving capital punishments for supposed minor crimes when he was head of state. It's very simple, just like in Malaysia, there's a law surrounding anyone caught with drugs....execution!!!

He may be a dictator like many people say,but maybe that's the kind of leader Nigeria needs now that corruption and insecurity has engulfed our entire system.

Well done GMB! This interview has shown that a man without a certificate can actually be more educated than one with a PhD

Few weeks to elections they want to postpone without a good reason. They probably need more time to scheme on how to rig the elections because it looks tougher this time.

Romance / Re: Money Or Love: Which Is More Important In A Relationship? by anitank(f): 6:19am On Feb 04, 2015
diksucker:
Money is more important

money can buy love

money enhances love

I have heard of relationships that crumbled bcs of lack of money but haven't heard of d one that crumbled bcs of too much money.

a lot of babes would com here & pretend that love is more important

Nobody would chose a broke azzz niga over a rich and very comfortable dude when both r coming simultaneously

lack of money can even make a woman who loves her husband or guy so much to cheat

@ bolded, I have...infact several times.
I used to believe love was more important than money. I'm one of those ladies who believe in starting from the scratch with someone who has potentials and building an empire together. I always thought those rich guys are arrogant and would cheat on you and flaunt it in ur face. Infact seeing a guy as rich was more than enough turn-off for me. Besides I thought what can they get me that I can't get for myself by God's grace. I also had the mindset that those rich guys had that one girl who stood by them when they had nothing, and would most definitely choose them over you when they eventually want to settle down.

By as I grew older, I realised that even those "broke guys with potentials" would still lie and cheat on you. Most of them are always insecure because they believe that because u're a very pretty lady, u'd most likely leave them when some richer guy comes along.

With all that, I drew my conclusions.

@ topic, Love is not enough. Money is the only reason most relationships blossom

You are obviously in denial my dear young woman!!!

This man . . .

1. Cheats on you . .
2. Doesn't respect you enough to make an honest woman out of you . .
3. Is insinuating you become a baby mama . . .
4. Has no regards for your parents and family by wanting to keep 'drinking' the milk without 'buying the cow' . .
5. Threatens your life and calls you 20x a day . .

And you still call him 100% mentally stable.

I can't believe you think he really doesn't want to get married. Leave him for 2 months and he will become engaged . . I promise you that!

Shior, you are 29YO . . . you no be small pickin again so na you know!
This is by far my best comment on this thread!
Chukwu gozie gi Nne m.

@ faceless04 if you say his family members know you very well, but they're still okay with the fact that their son doesn't want to get married, especially his mother? Then I think there's something definitely wrong. And from the way you sound, I doubt if u're close to his mum which is absolutely not normal considering u've been with her son for 10yrs.

Music/Radio / Re: The Truth: D’banj Explains How He Was Kicked Out Of Mo’hits Records By Don Jazzy by anitank(f): 9:20am On Jan 26, 2015
The only truth I see here is that D'banj left his "family" for Kanye West record label which he must have presumed would make him become a bigger star. I can't blame him for aspiring for bigger things but I doubt if he gave a hoot about what would become of mo'hits when he was gone, hence not heeding to Don Jazzy's advice about coming back to Nigeria

Now where is his new boss Kanye? He probably wasn't impressed by D'banj's music and dumped him. Now he's crying fowl. Was he expecting a big hug from mo'hits after all that?

Never bite the fingers that fed u, cos one day u'd wish u hadn't

Travel / Re: UK Wants To Deport 5yr Old Nigerian Boy Rafeeq Atanda, Mum Pleads by anitank(f): 10:16am On Jan 24, 2015
lastpage:

The U.K does not give (not anymore) automatic citizenship by birth.

For him to qualify for U.K citizenship by Birth, he must live the first seven years of his life there, continuously.
Also, being an infant, his Mother is responsible for his upkeep and sustenance,...thus, what ever affects the mother, affects him ...by transfer!
Deporting the Mother also means the Boy is automatically deported along with the Mother
.

Its just like when a Mother has issues with her husband and wants to spite him with the children. She goes on to get a barring order against her husband (even though the children are no party to their conflict and did not consent to such Order),....with the effect that such a father is BARRED from not just seeing his wife...but also his kids.
Women have used such wickedness a lot, in the "West" and that happens to be one of the reason "family Homicide" is common in such countries.
Nigeria does not practice such nonsense anyway.

Having said that, being born in the U.K gives the Boy a lot of RIGHTS but he may not be able to ENFORCE such RIGHTS until he is an adult (18yrs).

If Nigerian leaders are not so stewpid and have managed this country properly, despite all its vast riches, like in the 60's and early 70's, Brits and Americans (not to talk of countries like Ghana, South Africa, e.t.c) are always queuing to get Nigerian Visa.
Now, the reverse is the case!

How did we get to this point?

Okay, GEJ till 2019 please, we need more #10 change! Clueless Eediots grin grin

Lastpage!

Ok now I get it. It's actually the woman that's facing deportation for whatever reasons, and of course she has to go back home with her boy since he isn't upto 7. Poor boy. I sincerely hope they reconsider for his sake

Thanks for the clarification

If he died in coma, in a hospital... then why is his corpse in the back seat of a car not properly covered? And if the hospital has no mortuary, isn't it the job of ambulances to transfer dead bodies to one? Or do people now take corpses to the mortuary in a private car?

The funds will eventually be debited from your account, so why put yourself in unnecessary "debt"?

Like I said, I won't be going to any bank to lay complaints because I got an unknown alert. They can always take it whenever they want as long as they don't withdraw above 15k. But if they don't, I'd take it they don't want it back, hence my comment about a pair of shoes. Besides N15,000 can't make me run into "unnecessary debt"
