Thanks for the Advice. Please you know when one can place the next bid?

If you're going for the secondary market, you can walk in any bank preferably First Bank or stanbic and ask for their available tenures and rates. Fill the form and then wait to be debited.

If you want to go for the primary market you have to stay updated on this thread to know when the next auction would be, then go before that date to your preferred bank and place your bid.

Hello house i want you guys to advice me on this that have been bothering me. I have wanted to invest in TB since this year but i have a kind of fear that made me start to contemplate. I am a type that likes to invest all in one and so like to be careful not to lose at the end. What bothers me is the Biafran Agitation issues and now my question is, if anyhow Biafra separates can the Nigerian government decide not to refund my money?

This have really left me with thoughts of using the money to buy land. Please i need professional advice from the house
Note: No tribalism here

But there is no guarantee you won't lose your money in your savings account if Nigeria divides. Go invest your money and stop worrying so much about things you have no control over

Well think about it this way. Do you wish to take out the funds in your dorm for TB purpose only or you just want the profit on your principal? I think if you decide to save your principal back to your dorm. You could be running at a loss due to the changes in exchange rate.

Just my thought..

I thought about this already. Wanting just the profit and saving back the principal in USD would be a complete loss for me. The plan is to invest into TB full time with the money and keep compounding the interest as they come. Keeping the funds idle just for the sake of having a dorm account is useless when i can make profit and still have my principal in naira. And like lancee said, I could have changed the money when it was at 490/$ and made double by now and I honestly feel terrible about it, but with TB I can definitely make up for the loss with time

Good morning.

I have two t-bills running and I'm so obsessed with having more that I'm thinking of taking out all the money in my dorm account to invest. My dorm account yields no interest for me hence this decision.

Who else thinks this is a good decision? Or not

I am not sure if you are married or single or living in Nigeria or in the West, but if you aren't married. Your disposition sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to any unfortunate man in marriage who you would end up divorcing and claiming his properties because the system in the West empowers you to do so. What a shame!! I hope you don't end up like one of those unruly and proud women who ended up as victims as seen in those unfortunate cases shown the the aforementioned link.
I hope not. Thanks for your concern. Have a great Sunday

Before you open your mouth and yarn garbage go through the thread below so you can possibly be informed and understand why he hasn't brought his wife over..

https://www.nairaland.com/3403556/nigerian-men-usa-killing-imported

So because a couple of "imported wives" started disrespecting their husbands, the rest of them should marry and dump their wives back home? Again arrant nonsense! Are there not lots of single Nigerian women living in the US to marry? But no, Nigerian men would rather marry those supposedly naive ones they can keep controlling and don't want any system that places them equal with a woman cheesy

The man doesn't trust her in the first place to even bring her over yet.
She is the kind of woman who when she comes to the States will take advantage of their system that favours women and will divorce the man and take over his properties like we see in a number of cases.
Looking so evil...
That's arrant nonsense. Why would he be scared of a system that favors women more if he has nothing up his sleeve? How can a man who is infact a U.S citizen marry a woman and refuse to bring her over? How are people even comfortable living continents away from their spouses and kids when nothing is stopping them from being together? Is he scared he might one day be caught cheating or arrested for hitting his wife and made to divide his property and pay child support?

The man knows he has leverage leaving his wife back home so he could well enough exercise his egocentricity over his family because the moment he brings her over, the system sees them as equal and wouldn't allow him try any rubbish.

How come nobody is blaming the woman who went to live with a man that hasn't paid her bride price and was even having kids for him??

In everything I believe in equity. Let's say the first one was a mistake and they wanted to keep it... but she shouldn't have taken in again and yet again if the man refused to go see her people.

Don't bring shame to your families and let other people pay for it!

I don't think First Bank follows the rule of "the longer the tenor, the higher the rates". I was given option of either 18.4% for 343 days or 18.1% for 364 days. The highest rate they had was 18.5% for only 22 days but they only needed 300k to complete that particular bid, which was far less than I wanted to invest and the tenure too short also.

I finally opted for 18.4% for 343 days. Got debited and interest paid.

I've never been much of a risk taker when it comes to investing money but treasury bill has been so far the safest and best option for me without the stress of "what ifs" in my head.

God bless and keep us all. Have a great week ahead!
