emmanuelewumi: I have found out that most of the people who disappointed me in business which also led to losses were my friends and families. You are right sir, same with me. I have learnt my hard lesson and will never repeat such mistakes when it comes to doing business with/ lending to family and friend. It always end in emotional blackmail! Imagine if I had put those money they are owing me running into millions of naira into fixed income instruments alone, I would have made good profit for the past 1-5yrs that they have refused to pay back. |

BAMOFIN1: @ahiboilandgas, emmanuelewunmi, my other investors Please, I have a warehouse near Coker/Odunade in Lagos which can take about six 20ft containers. My original plan was to be importing goods to be stored in the warehouse but I have found out that I cannot cope with the stress of importation. Now, I am looking for nonperishable goods that I can buy whole container from major importer at a huge discount or for products produced outside Lagos that I can buy in bulk, store in the warehouse and sell to retailers in small quantities. If by reason of your business or experience you know such a product or you have links to manufacturers outside Lagos State looking for distributor in Lagos please contact me on 0813 4103494 whatsapp/sms . I am willing to pay for profitable information. Thanks. I am currently having some challenge with my WhatsApp. Send me a PM so that I can give you some useful information you may be interested in through mail. The manufacturing company is in Kano and they need a major distributor in Lagos. I'm one myself in my state of residence. |

RabbiDoracle: Instead he should draw up learning points from the losses and the timing of his purchases. That will make him a better investor with time. However most people will just cast away the experience once prices rise to meet theur breakeven price. Truth, this is deep!. Thanks for sharing sir. This is exactly what I do and has made me a better investor. |
Investment › Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by anjilgreat(f): 1:16pm On Jun 27, 2020 |
YerYer: You are right. There's a a method to the madness. But you know even after researching, identifying a trend and buying a stock, the market has a mind of it's own. For example, Docusign (DOCU) the company that enables paperless contracts has been on a tear since the pandemic. The stock caught my eyes in the $70s but I was waiting on the sidelines thinking it will sell off at some point as the valuation was over stretched. The stock has rallied without retreat to $177 today. It caught my attention again after I recently signed two different contracts for two different companies using Docusign. So it clearly means that they must have the lion share of the paperless contract business and quite frankly I don't even know of any other alternative. With the explosion of new coronavirus infections in Texas and Florida I was looking for more companies that thrived and will continue to thrive during the pandemic. So on wednesday when DOCU fell about 4% from its intraday high, I pounced on it and bought the June 26th call options with a $170 strike price. I'm not sure how much you know about options but the closer the expiration date, the riskier the option trade. With just 2 days to expiration, you will almost need a miracle for the stock to move as high as you want it or the call option will expire worthless. On friday morning at market open, I was down 60%; I could've closed my position for a 60% loss and moved on, but this was a speculative trade, almost like a lottery ticket; my plan was to hold till expiration, whatever happens. I fell asleep and woke up later to see that the stock rallied later in the day and the call option gained 430% or or $2981. So it's not just pure luck, but sometimes you still need the stars to align in your favor. The most important thing about investing is risk management. Diversifying your portfolio, cutting your loss and only opening positions that make up a small percentage of your overall capital. If you have only $1000 to invest for example, maybe buy stocks in 10 different companies with an average allocation of $100 for each company, then set your max loss at 15% for each position. This way that 15% loss will only amount to 1.5% of your entire portfolio. A lot of new investors want to do YOLO trades so they allocate a large portion of their networth on one trade and when the market sells off, they get wiped out.
I've just been so busy lately, I barely have time to even post here, but will continue doing my best. More wins for us all!! Good point!, thanks for sharing. |

Enyinne: Thanks sis , lets see what tomorrow will bring . Just hope for the best from them tomorrow! Note that united securities may not be able to do much if your bank has not yet uploaded to NIBSS for payment. If no positive response tomorrow, you will have to either patiently wait for payment or may have to visit your bank and put pressure on them to do the needful if you are in a hurry. For the fact that they are already processing it is a step in a right direction. |

Good morning all, pls help me make a decision. I am planning to get 600W monocrystalline solar panel latest next week as soon as the inter-state lockdown is lifted.
I have a 24V system with an in-built charge controller whose maximum solar array is 600W and based on my research, I have narrowed down my choice to two products :
1. 3 numbers of 200W Yinglin or 2. 2 numbers of 300W Canadian solar panel
Pls advice on the better choice, thanks in anticipation. |

Mcy56: I can remember this post made in response to someone here on March 28. Nestle sold down to 650 or thereabout around that time. 2weeks gone with Nestle on full bid even at over N1000, no one is willing to sell. Prof and few other ogas here doubted this, maybe because I'm not a guru or chartist. Yes, I'm an ordinary student and a keyboard warrior. That was one painful opportunity that I missed then, I diverted the money to buy MTNN instead. By the time I was ready to get Nestle, it had already traveled. |

emmanuelewumi: Ten percent is okay. A popular lawyer got a dividend of N70 million last week from Okomu Oil and paid withholding tax of N7 million.
If he earned N70 million as salary, he would have paid to N15 million or more as PAYE True, but you know that investors also have to pay buying, selling charges and other charges! No problem, anyway. |
