You don't need to sign or send physical forms on wealth.ng just register and complete your verification process, your dividends will drop in your wallet or bank according to your choice.

You are right, somebody here confirmed your opinion recently and gave reasons for that.

This your statement is the reason why some persons have stopped recommending Stock Picks here. What happened to doing your due dilligence.

Not all registrars request for share transfer form. Some are only bent on frustrating customers......but like Madam suggested, which I also picked a learning point from, I think it's better to have extra signed copies with the broker cos they are supposed to fill it and send to the registrar from their end.

My concern is this:
*Does a broker open files for individuals? Maybe analogue broker but not sure of digital ones.
*What happens when you needed another copy and the broker couldn't lay hands on the already signed ones again?

Cc: Madam @Angilgreat

anjilgreat , lol!

Concerning your questions, It's probably they do have a way of Keeping record of clients ' extra copies of signed transfer form.

Morgan Capital actually adviced me to do this, and since I posted about 20 copies of my signed transfer forms to them, I have never had any problem in receiving my dividends: although, I still make sure I leave a few of the stocks in my portfolio after i sell as we have been adviced here.
Hope you're having a great day madam?

Yes I reside in Lagos, do you mean I’ll submit it at the stockbroker’s office or to Cscs? And I have to submit it every time I submit an edividend form with that registrar shocked ? I didn’t get the 20 copies part... thank you for your reply

Yes @ the bolded according to two stockbrokers I stated above.

You will submit it to your stockbrokers, who will then fill your other details in the form and send to CSCS on your behalf'.

The 20 copies I stated was to avoid the stress of always sending the form to them especially for stocks of different registrars if you are into multiple stocks investment. Since you reside in Lagos, it will be easier for you to send the form to them compared to those residing outside.

Modified: In addition, to avoid the submission of e-dividend mandate form more than once to a registrar, do these two basic things as we have always been adviced here ;

1. When submitting your e-dividend mandate form for the first time ensure you tick all active companies listed in the form
2. Whenever you want to sell your stock, ensure you don't completely sell all, even if it means leaving at least five (5) units of the stock in your portfolio.

So am I still eligible to receive the dividend or I can’t? Thank you.

Hope you reside in Lagos because you will need to send the signed hard copy of the form to them? According to both Morgan capital and Meristem, CSCS no longer accepts scanned soft copies of the transfer form even in this era of technology!

If you reside outside Lagos, it is better you sign at least 20 copies of the transfer form and post it to your stockbroker for this outstanding dividend and for future ones especially for a different registrar to avoid another cycle of future disappointment due to transfer forms issues.

Hmnn. I have been using it with gen for God knows when without hassles. All I know is that if the stab is too "big" it will affect the gen as it will be "overworking". So any stab I use is always "balanced" against the gen capacity. But I am now enlightened. Anyway, since I started using inverter, my two 2000v, one 1000v and one 500v stabs are idle. I don't use them at all.

I think you are right. No investment is a waste. Moreover, why use stab if you are using solar. Eliminate gen totally and you are good to go.
Someone even recommended using central stab. Stab to me is a no, no.
I've not started using solar panels, trying to completely eliminate the use of generators. That is why I was seeking opinion here on how to go about it for a start.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by anjilgreat(f): 4:43pm On May 17, 2020

yeah, stabilizer introduces an extra inductive load to the generator, a 150w fridge connected to a 1kw stabilizer may have an energy footprint of 250w cos of the stab. 2ndly relay stabilizers are fond of sticking sometimes and shorting out, if this happens while on generator, the fuse breaker in the DB, usually doesnt trip immediately, and the brunt will be borne by the gen. if you are observant, you will notice that the gen sounds different when loaded with fridge plugged to stab.

the beauty of central stab is that its connected directly to your nepa input, so automatically, when you are on gen, its automatically bypassed as well.
in my early days of solar, my tv was connected to a 1kva stab and later 600va ups, it was always a big hassle remembering to disconnect the tv from them when we switch to inverter and reconnecting them back when we switch to nepa, cos then i wired the inverter output like gen input to the house

@ your question, its a wrong comparison though. a 5kva gen can power 1 ac and fridge comfortablly, but 6 panels with your present setup stands no chance of powering 1 AC, so if you guys are a big fan of AC, then wahala dey.

3rdly, if you want to add more panels, you may consider buying these cheap but decent standalone mppt charge controllers like POWMR/MAKESKYBLue 60amps mppt that can take upto 1800w panel @ 24v is about 25k landing cost to nigeria on aliexpress

You're right about the use of stabilizer on generators.

Concerning the use of panels for the A/C, I actually knew that my current charge controller would be too small. That was why I wanted to start with only 600W panels for just the fridge then later get a 60amps charge controller and buy extra panels for the A/C which has an inverter compressor.

But my inverter installer was insisting I start with 1200W panels to start using the fridge only but that will imply going beyond the recommended 600W panels for my inbuilt charge controller. That was why I tried getting a second opinion from you yesterday based on his recommendation. Thanks.

At bolded. Why? A lady once told me it is not good using stab with generator. That it will spoil the stab bla bla bla. We argued about it and i told her there was nothing of such since I have been using mine with stab. Hearing this again brought it back. Why disconnect before use, pls educate me. Thanks

In my Own case, it was the other way round ; my stabilizer of 2000VA that spoilt my 2.2KVA Generator last year which resulted in spending as much as close to #25,000 in the generator repairs, ranging from coil burn and others faults I can’t remember.

Pls in case you still connect yours to your stabilizer pls stop it now because your generator will suffer it in the long run.

My generator has still not recovered till now despite all the money spent on repairs then because the generator doesn't carry much loads at the same time like before the fault.

My husband would have bought another generator of 5KVA for #150,000.00 since last year so as to use for our fridge and our two LG gencool A/C during low power vottage, but I've always discouraged him because I felt using that money to get solar panels will be more economical and convenient in the long run.

So pls stop it before it will be too late!

CC @ All; Malevonent, hope my decision at the bolded is not out of place? Thanks in anticipation!

ok, probably too late for central stabilizer, since you have bought so many smaller units, if you guys were well informed, a central stabilizer is the best.when next you want to buy stabilizer, you should check the input voltage range, the lower the better, old stabilizers had 120v and 140v as lowest input voltage, i have heard of a 60v input voltge stab, but am yet to see it with my eyes.
uwc
remeber, you need to disconnecet the fridge from the stabilizer before connecting it to the inverter

Thank you very much.

if 100v is the lowest voltage , seen in your area. i would recommend you buy a central stabilizer, say 10kva, andedunamis , it is rated to pick from 80v, though mine worked ok, several times phcn gave us 70v, its about 110k for the servo type..saves you the stress of loading your fridge on your inverter..and at the same time, protects the whole house from over voltage and undervoltage.
search on jumia and konga
i assume you have 2 x 200ah 12v batteries

Yes my batteries are as the bolded .

The challenge is that the voltage sometimes goes as Low as 60V because of overloading of the transformer for which the 2000VA QASA stabilizer connected to the fridge does not Pick whenever it's less than abt 90V.

The idea of a central stabilizer will be a good one, I'll discuss with my husband to get his opinion on buying it but I doubt if he'll agree because the low voltage made us to buy as much as Seven(7) stabilizers based on recommendations - 3unitsof 5000VA ( Qlink, connected to inverter; Century , used for pumping Water whenever the voltage is reasonable and Haier thermocool, for window unit A/C that we barely use ) and 4 units of 2000VA stabilizers ( 2 haier thermocool for 2 units of LG gencool split unit ; 1 QASA, used for my fridge and the binatone product still chilling inside the carton because it's very selective when it comes to low voltage).

If he doesn't agree on the idea of the central stabilizer, we'll just get the 600W panels as ealier recommended by you for the sake of my fridge. I really appreciate your assistance, thanks alot.

@anjilgreat.
what is the size of your inverter?
so the low utility voltage can charge your battery, through the inverter...but cant power your fridge?.
a good stabilizer maybe your best option.
is the nepa voltage upto 140v?, you must have a good inverter, for it to charge at low voltage, my inverter doesnt charge if voltage is below 170v.

back to your question, 600w panel can power a 100w fridge well during the day, even if you have it hooked to a single 12v 200ah battery, heck even to a 100ah battery

Thanks for this. I have always wanted to buy a 600W paper since last year due to my available charge controller because of my fridge, but my inverter installer have always insisted that it's more convenient and safer for me to start with a 1200W panel.

Thanks alot for this Information because I just got tired of always Putting on my generator in times of Low voltage despite the fact that my inverter batteries will still be okay to power other things in the house and the fridge is not connected to it so as not to reduce the lifespan of the batteries.

I connect the inverter to a qlink stabilizer which charges it but this same stabilizer doesn't conveniently power my fridge.

The NEPA voltage that gives me challenge is when it is Less than 100V. Above 100V powers the fridge seamlessly with my stabilizer.

It's a 3KVA 24V ipowerplus inverter that has an inbuilt charge controller which can only take a maximum of 600W solar panel. Thanks

for a 24v system, you are better off connecting the panels in series. 300w is just about right for 1 unit 12v 200ah battery, however 450w would be excellent, takes care of losses, and poor solar days, wrong inclination etc...as depending on your setup, you may be seeing only 200w to 240w max instantenous harvest..and not the 300w installed

Pls can a 600W solarpanel with 2 200ah batteries conveniently power a fridge of 100W during a sunny day?

This is based on d fact that d panels don't necessarily need to charge the batteries because the Low utility voltage charges my batteries to full capacity but struggles to power my fridge. Thanks
