Explorers:This must be the centre that was attacked by terrorists in September 2011. Rebuilding the part that was attacked shouldn't take long. |
Islie:At last! Remembered vividly my lecturer told me and other students back in the 90s of high possibility of discovering crude in Bida basin (Gel 414- geology of Nigeria). Untiring good job done by the geologists in this regard. Hope this won't be the only good news, but hoping the government and all stakeholders concerned will team up faithfully to see that this discovery yields positive results. Kudos! |
ya cigaba! |
Explorers:Desperate to survive. Taking such risk each day is more like a tip of hell on earth. God have mercy! |
Explorers:Thanks |
Explorers:can you post the picture of the Eiffle Tower? |
This piece by a NAIRALANDER can be of help to you. Read on: Re: Please Help, What Are The Jobs I Can Do With Degree In Physics by Teempakguy (m ): 3:09pm On Jul 06 My insights: Physics is a course for incredibly intelligent persons, and If you attempt to dive into it with an average intellect, you'll find it challenging and useless. So, as you'll find, the Ideas I'm going to put on ground are going to be achievable only if you're reasonably smart. And no. Hard work won't cut it here. unless you want to start earning when you're forty. You could go for a Masters, and then PhD, and become an independent researcher, most likely in theoretical physics. You could go for a PGD after your degree and divert into petrochemical engineering. You could apply for analytical jobs after your degree. You could become an entrepreneurial innovator like Elon Musk You could pick up programming while in school and, using your knowledge in physics, write helpful software for other physicists and engineers. You could graduate with a first class and become a lecturer You could become a highly celebrated Author, like Stephen Hawking and Richard Muller You could go for multiple degrees and become an Authority, like Salman Khan. No, Not the one with all the bulging muscles. You could go for a masters in a meteorological course and get a job at a weather forecasting company. You could use your knowledge in physics to invent something really fascinating, which you can market to companies for a profit. You could become a Motivational Speaker. Many Physicists are good at talking to people. You could pick up a few Courses related to robotics and become a robotics researcher. You could build a particle accelerator, connect yourself to it press the start button, and become flash. You could partner with a team of experts from other scientific fields, get a patron, and participate in science projects around the world for money You could partner with this team, only instead, you'd become an innovation company, building new technology and selling it to the highest bidder. see Raffaello D' Andrea You could become a Science communicator, be a presenter for science programs, and go on talks. see Carl Sagan, Bill Nye, and Neil Degrasse Tyson You could open a YouTube channel to do the above, instead. See Micheal Stevens and Derek Muller I thought of all these withing 15 minutes of seeing your question. the point is not to brag, but to show you that the point is not the course you've chosen, But the knowledge gained. with that knowledge, The universe is on your finger tips. you can do ANYTHING you want. as long as you can imagine, as long as you utilize your brain to find out what you can do with the time that you have. |
Stock fish things. Beware of the stock fish you buy from mama Chika or mama Obinna |
Carlcaresophia:No I can't. Am not interested in using the phone any longer. |
Carlcaresophia:Immediately the phone developed this problem, I sensed it should be the charger, so I got another charger, high quality one for that matter (adaptor + USB) thinking my itel will come to 'full life' still the problem persisted. For the receipt of my phone, Its missing o, can't lay my hands on it. Thanks Carl care Sophia for your suggestions but I've long lost interest in itel phones! |
congrats! May God bless your union |
fufuNegusi:Exactly my thought! Moral lesson from this 'shocking' union: Always look beyond the limitations, and ANYTHING is achievable. |
Mologi:You mean resumption for new students is now 13th February and not 6th February? kindly confirm |
coollabman:yea, will sure get a new one, but never again will I have dealing with an Itel phone. |
why does it take so long like 5 to 6hrs for my itel 1506 to charge to its full capacity? In just 5 mins of usage after charging to its full capacity the battery power drops drastically to about 75%. Battery can't even last for more than a year. Anyway, I've experimented itel phone, since I cant even enjoy it for a year, I've since registered my strong dislike for it. |
Explorers:Poor Zinouri a mere victim of circumstance! |
A day I'll live to remember 27th Jan 2002. Residing at Egbe via Oke afa. initially I thought it was a kind of thunderstorm, then the sounds persisted and sounding louder, panic here and there, children wailing and yelling in confusion. mmh...wahala don come o. Until much later when Asiwaju made a state broadcast on radio on the happenings that we were relieved a little. #Blacksunday in Lagos |
Mumu meets mumu must make mumu meet Mavrodi make matter messed more!!!
Goodluck to participants!!! |
Joke Silva is indeed one of Nigerian actresses with a clear positive different to be emulated. Career wise she has succeeded and still making impacts. Maritally, she has also left an indelible mark to be desired by many. Joke Silva I so much admire your personality, but one thing I would like to know is why you never changed your name to "Joke Jacobs". You would have been known now as Mrs J. J.... Well no qualms, pa Olu Jacobs has been cool with your names. Great couple, kudos! |
Explorers:Any reason for the then most powerful leader sitting on steps? Hope is not that he missed his steps and landed on the steps in a "grand style" |
The President once accepted defeat only for him to rescind his spirit of statesmanship, what a decision! A little humility on the part of president Jammeh could have averted all these political impasse the Gambian govt seems to be nurturing. Big problems most times results from minor and very trivial causes. May the Gambia overcomes its problems soon! |
point number 3. no longer realistic/ valid with the new point grading system of admission to UI. Excellent grades in o' levels as well as scoring 250 + in utme will be highly required for admission to UI and especially for medicine and other competitive courses. |
sundyhlo:yes, she is! |
sundyhlo:Not at all, but my daughter is a fresher. I was once a Tacsfonite though, way back in the nineties. where were you then?...lol |
sundyhlo:Tacsfon UI corrected |
None of the above! |
Bluezy13:yeah, not entirely sex things, just that sex attention was one of the many other attentions not given |
Bluezy13: Annibiteye:[quote author=Bluezy13 post=524540 |
You misunderstand the word "attention" as implied my OP. It's not about sex, it is about care and showing love[/quote]sex is also involved, read up his post again, the second paragraph. quoted below: "Some women not all are on the defensive when the husband tends to shrug that stuff out" op expressed the sexual aspect idiomatically. op can correct me if am wrong |
Burnt beyond recognition |
As per accommodation fee, its seems so outrageous. A ward paid N30000 for accommodation this session and till now no allocation have been made to her. Unilorin is good at accommodating more students than the university capacity can actually take, this trend eventually do not augur well with the students. Its only 'better' the student by an outstretched stress! |
