Ajet001: Nice having you around ma'am
How do you want it Champagne or fruit juice You can have coke as well... Lols Sorry, I don't take any of those drinks, because of the high sugar content in them. This is not good for the health, especially those who are 35yrs and above. Nevertheless, am a lover of sugarless zobo, kunu and soya milk. Order any of my choice drinks and I'll be good to go. Success in your admission!!! |

DokitaDave: Thank you for calling my attention to this ma.
Firstly, let me also salute your courage for holding your head up high in the face of public ignorance even when you seem not to totally understand what is obtainable in Dentistry and Dental Surgery.
So many people (including prospective undergraduates) do not understand the nitty-gritty of Dentistry, hence they do not appreciate it or pick it as a choice course, as the case may be. (By the way, this is somewhat to the advantage of the usually few dental applicants because this sort of brings the cut-off mark down each year)
In simple terms, I'll say Dentistry and Dental Surgery is basically a specialty in medicine that allows you to specialize right from your undergraduate days. Some arguments I read about Dentistry and Dental Surgery on social media are not accurate and thus misleading.
Right from your first year till after about your first year in UCH, BDS and MBBS students take thesame courses all through. Infact, dental students offer more courses. Dental students write more MB (professional medical exams) than MBBS guys. We both spend thesame number of years in school and we do things together many times.
I don't want to sound like someone trying to glorify a course above another because we are both workers in the medical field. BDS and MBBS graduates are regarded as Doctors. They both belong to thesame professional body (NMA) and the prospect is thesame in Nigeria (that's if Dental graduates don't even have upper hand due to the fewer graduates been churned out in the country each year). What about pay? In Nigeria, BDS and MBBS graduates earn thesame using thesame salary scale. In some other western worlds (like the US), dentists earn more than their counterparts.
What else?
My friend, you have made the right choice and you shouldn't be discouraged by the wrong arguments you find in many public spheres.
Let me know if there are some other things you are still not clear about please.
cc: holuwajobar, Bobola07 I trust you'll have a lot inputs on this, and I wasn't disappointed. All the best!!! |

Let the authority of unilorin reveals its mode of selecting those 11000 candidates and based on what criterion. Since post utme was scrapped, it will be of interest to the stakeholders to know the modality for admitting the candidates. |

The dwarf pastors are getting into the marriage business these days. A dwarf pastor in TAC also wedded an average height ladya year ago. Good to know they're getting hooked and not left in the 'searching' zone. Love is indeed blind. More grace to the ladies who are defying all odds to marry these dwarfs. Hope the average built men are gonna be marrying the dwarf ladies too. Wishing them a blissful marital life!!! |

DokitaDave: Wow... Congratulations and I hope it continues to work fine.
As for me, Tecno has made me see hell in the last two weeks. I have never been this frustrated in my entire life (no exaggeration). The new touch pad that was put on my phone stopped responding that same evening (Tuesday). I have been there all working days of this week; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and today, Friday. Each time I go, their engineer do something on it but in less than 12 hours, it goes bad. I am a student, with several tests lined up for the coming week but yet, CarlCare continues to act 'smart' towards me despite the fact the company is at complete fault.
I requested for a swap but CarlCare keeps playing me around, maybe because I have been keeping a cool face. By next week, God willing, CarlCare will definitely hear from me in the only manner these companies (thinking Nigerians are fools) understand. I know it is going to be 'fun' here next week. Do take it easy with them o... |

ewa26: no shut up! My food is very sweet! Oh come on girl, am only giving you a healthy modification of your recipe, nothing more. Your 'food' may be 'sweet' or delicious, but I tell you with that quantity of maggi cubes in it, mmh, its detrimental to health as well. Peace!!! |
Culture › Re: How I Make My Nigerian Egusi Soup by Annibiteye: 9:07pm On Apr 10, 2017 |
ewa26: no its not because i didnt put salt again. the salt from the maggi was enough The 6 cubes of maggi is still too much for the egusi soup. I believe your recipe is just for say 2 to 4 people's meal. Remember you're gonna add the meat stock which also contains maggi/ salt, haba six cubes of maggi is too much my dear! Quantity of salt should be minimal. Excess consumption of salt triggers high blood pressure, so modify your recipe to be 2 or 3 cubes at most! Happy dinning! |
