Spectro: And please, next time you put forward a view, back it up with proofs.
As this amounts to misinformation. If you read my reply/opinion, I never said you are misinforming rather I said "i doubt". So please dont say am misinforming people as I didn't say either. You are free to express yours so dont tell me if I have a different view of yours am misinforming. Please your attached proof doenst justify your claim. Direct me to the many people it worked for. Not a screenshot of what IRCC asked for. If i am to believe that, then nobody should be denied a visa cos everybody follows IRCC directives to the letter. Know this and know peace. |

Spectro: People have accessed loans and gained visa approvals. A lot of people. So then there's that.
Everything boils down to your SOP. If people have been able to access loans and got visa approval, then I don't see why another person cannot.
What's most important is having the money for living expense and letting loans take care of tuition and other academic-related expenses.
It will end in praise. I stand with my reply but again, its left for people to make their own decision... Where is it written that a loan is a hometie? How does your sop help justify why you took up a loan to cover study expenses plus living expenses? You have not convinced me rather you are telling me so many people has done it and it worked. Who are those people? I want to talk to them. People will millions in their own account have been denied visa here on this thread but you want to tell me that another person with a loan/debts on his shoulders will be granted an approval. Debts that a visa officer will see and still let you into his country to work to stupor to survive in canada and pay back a loan.. omo.. For those that will follow this GOODLUCK! |

emmalextemtop: Do flywire charges tax rates while paying for international tuition fee? Flywire dont show the items that cumulates to the total amount but I believe taxes or other items are hidden but can't be visible to you. Finally if you wish to pay the tuition fee, I sell cad and also help to pay. No transfer charges attached |

Spectro: I already replied you.
Accessing loans shows commitment and serves as a home-tie since it is mandatory to pay back.
It is actually a plus when it comes to processing visa.
The only downside is having to pay back much more than you accessed... But well, that is the nature of business and lenders must gain.
Attach your loan document(s) and show a clear career path to demonstrate your potential ability to pay back the loan over time.
It will end in praise. I doubt the bolded... One of the many angles Visa officers process applications is based on your financial strength to cater for your tuition and living expenses. A visa officer citing that an applicant acquired a loan to pusure a study in canada is a VERY BIG RED FLAG. One of the many denial reasons are Financial reasons and Purpose of visit. I also dont believe a loan can serve as a hometie. A loan is enough to show the visa officer you are not financially bouyant enough to undertake this canada study journey(financial reasons) therefore no reason to why you wish to undertake such expense to come to Canada (Purpose of visit). Besides to pay back a loan while in canada is enough to deny you. How can you be struggling to meet your needs in canada and also meeting up with financial obligations to payback a loan. |

emmalextemtop: Hello!
Please for Algonquin College applicants/students, as an international student paying tuition fee through flywire portal, do they add additional charges or currency?
Because, $9,700CAD under IRCC exchange rate on google shows it is 2.9million naira while flywire portal shows it is 4m.
Please, does anyone has an idea of this why it is so, does the portal for paying our tuition fee normally adds charges or whatever...
Mind you, flywire is a site for international students to pay tuition fee. You can pay via flywire if you are paying using a foreign ATM card. The naija card won't work.. Flywire is super expensive, more expensive than black market and bank and with so much transfer charges |

Try Conestoga college in Ontario.. Their tuition deposit is modest and refundable. As for universities, you will just be wasting application fee money cos universities dont offer admission for masters for ND |

Elyasix: I didn't have a BSC before. I only had National diploma but I didn't use it for the application. Please you can either go for a PGD or advanced diploma ...these two are higher than ND and both shows career progression if you apply for a program related to your ND. |

I Okay then, that agent did not advise you properly. Who tells a bsc holder to go for another bsc .. You need to switch to either a masters or PGD. The bank statement has to be stamped with logo of the bank on it. Also should be in PDF format |

chikafredu: Good morning all,
I am new on the platform. Please I have an issue. I recently applied for M.Eng in Computer Engineering (thesis-based and funded) in MUN but was rejected based on unavailability of supervisor. But they said that I can be considered for MASc in Computer Engineering for fall 2021 but it require additional fees of about 21,000CAD apart from the school fees which is about 2,000CAD. I have told them to go ahead and consider me for that but I seek advice for a path:
1. Do I go ahead with this MASc and pay additional fees (which I intend to raise but do not have a the moment and join them in fall? 2. Do I wait and reapply for M.Eng for next year and try and get a supervisor ahead of time? 3. Do I go straight and apply afresh and apply for PHD fully funded cos I already have my MSc from a Nigerian University.
I intend to use my uncle as a sponsor and my current account is not up to 3,000USD and I am also married with kids. Age:36
I will appreciate your kind response. You can consider option 2 and 3.... if you go for option 2, do not mention you have a masters in your visa application. Age is not a barrier Chief... |

keleto: HELLO, based on what you said, does it me someone with an HND and 41 yrs going for a PGD could raise a red flag too.
Secondly, is it necessary adding employment letter to visa application form. You know most of our company won't agree to do that, and ones job might be at risk with such move.
Pls I need kind advice You going for a PGD isnt a red flag. A 35yr old got a visa approval for advanced diploma o not even PGD. All you need to focus on is ensuring you show good career plans and good finance to back it up and add God in it.. YES... thats the evidence that you are currently employed and thats evidence of hometies. |

Wanice: Good evening everyone, thanks for your continuous support. Pls I intend applying for my student permit anytime from now. My dad is a business man and he’s the one sponsoring my education. His company is a sole proprietorship business(an enterprise), he and my mom are the sole signatory to the account of the company. Below are my questions?
1. Do I need a letter of sponsorship from the company? 2. Is there a need for a a. board Resolution Letter stating that they are fully aware of this sponsorship and approve it b. Affidavit of Support C. Business invoices
Secondly My dad has a robust personal account but it’s not as if he gets paid monthly from the company. Will there be a need for this document 1. Employee ID 2. Pay slips
Thanks 1) Please let your parents sponsor you and not the company or company account. 2a) Theres no need if the account used is either your dad and mum's . b) Affidavit of support should come from your parents and not with the company letter head, just a normal letter. c) Business invoice can be used as proof to funds or evidence that your dad earns alot of money meaning finance will be available to you regularly. 1) YES as proof of employment. Are you working as well? if yes, you need it too as well as employment letter 2) Yes... if you are also working, you will require same. |

Eilenora: Hi guys, Please does anyone know if visa chances will be impeeded if someone with a cgpa of 4.4 gets admission into a college as opposed to a univ. Apparently she got rejection for admission into 2 different univs so she decided to apply to a college directly which she got easily. Just worried about her visa chances. Last date for payment of tuition is today so this information is needed urgently before its too late. Many thanks Chances are equal if its univ or college... the determinant is how she can sell her genuineness that shes traveling for studies, has the finance and easy access to it and then prove that your course is of reasonable expense meaning there has to be career progression |

Please can anyone provide a thread on Visitor's Visa.
Can my husband and son join me with Visitor's visa? It seems it has to be clearly established that their visit is non-discretionary.
Please can anyone advise? IRCC dobt grant visitors visa anymore to internationals cos of Covid.its just study and PR are 100% active now. If you are in canada as a student and want your family to join u and stay, why not opt for a spousal work permit for your husband and son |

You are only going against the terms and conditions if you work more than the required hours(20 hrs a week). No one is forcing you to get a job but if you're wise, you will. OKAY, WHY WILL HE BE ISSUED A WORK PERMIT IF HE WONT USE IT.. Anyway i might be wrong but i feel its against the rules WHAT HAPPENS IF THE APPLICANT WISHES TO APPLY FOR A PR IN FUTURE, WHAT WILL BE HIS EVIDENCE OF WORK EXPERIENCE |
