tsdarkside: but nigerian army is already building drones and stuff....
what are you wailing about....?? ...........about the technically defeated Boko Haram that is still swallowing billions of dollars for phantom equipment. Are you satisfied Buhari's CJN borrowed the technicality word from his remote control president. www.nairaland.com/attachments/3236486_buharidefeatsbokoharam4_jpeg3b14d0e7f2d2c32d3b117b1eb1fc793cSignalNG1: December 23, 2015 The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said on Wednesday that the Nigerian military had met the December deadline to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.
The minister said this during his maiden meeting with editorial heads of media houses in Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that President Mohammadu Buhari had, upon assuming office, issued a December 31 deadline to the military to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.
“Today, I can report that the war against Boko Haram is largely won.
“I can confidently say this because just recently, I led a group of 33 journalists from both the local and international media to the hot bed of the insurgency, that is, Maiduguri, Kondugua, Kaoure and Bama.
“Today, I can report to you that the entire 70 plus kilometres stretch from Maiduguri to Bama and all the way to Banki which leads to Cameroun and the Central African Republic are in the hands of our gallant troops.”
He said the military presence could be felt ”every few metres along the road; at a point along that road we were just a kilometre to Sambisa forest.
“They have so degraded the capacity of Boko Haram that the terrorists can no longer hold on to any territory just as they can no longer carry out any spectacular attack.”
Mohammed, however, said that though there were still cases of suicide bombings, it was pertinent to note that such was the nature if insurgency globally.
“Unlike a war between two armies, an insurgency never ends with arms victory
“Even in countries like Colombia where insurgency was supposed to have ended decades ago, attacks like this still happen.”
He said that the insurgents had adopted a new style of attacking soft targets like motor parks, schools, entertainment centres, religious centres, killing innocent people mostly women and children.

The music you dance to, the body you gyrate is all created by God. Where did Christ dance, sing and make plenty of noise publicly in talking with God?Are Christians no longer Christ like people |

The word infrastructure is all encompassing. mrvitalis: I said infrastructure What I pointed out was the maintenance part of the infrastructure as opposed to the infrastructure itself. It is to encourage us to also focus on this important aspect- maintenance- which is even more essential for a poor country like Nigeria.Cheers. |

I understand that she is a private person and can choose to live like that or not, but there is a level you get to as a celebrity and you'd lend your voice to issues affecting your society. This is because a celebrity gathers more attention to a situation than ordinary folks.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Genevieve is yet to lend her voice to ENDSARS, RUGA, Leah Sharibu, Boko Haram, kidnappings etc etc. As long as it doesn't affect her, she will continue to take pictures and post while idiot's drool over them. Very valid point there about our yeyebrities. She is not alone sha in the disgraceful attitude to social issues. |

PatrickOkunima: There's no First Class in Masters. Don't mind him. I don't know why some people are so prone to lies even when they are not in APC, the master of lies and propaganda, anchored by their misinformation minister LIE Mohammed. Was that not how Kachikwu lied about having 1st class also before he was called out FACT-CHECK: Document shows Kachikwu lied about graduating with First Class in Law
A claim by a Nigerian minister that he graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, with a first class honours is false, a fact-check by DUBAWA and PREMIUM TIMES has shown.
During the 17th anniversary celebrations of the Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA) held at the church headquarters in Abuja two years ago, the Nigerian Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, was among dignitaries who addressed the congregation.
In a seven minutes 24 seconds video published on YouTube on February 17, 2016 by COZA GLOBAL, Mr Kachikwu, dressed, in a navy blue ‘senator attire’, said: “The heat in this place can either make you or burn you, this is a hot zone. Congrats COZA!”
“It is amazing the sort of revolution that takes place outside the civil service; public service; and the outer space.
“A lot of revolution goes on in houses like this and sometimes all of us who are in government need to find time to come out and spend time with you and get encouraged by the burst of energy that you see…”
While speaking on fate and destiny, Mr Kachikwu took the congregation on a journey of his life, highlighting his educational achievements.
“…I went to Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University) to try and read medicine and I was there for two weeks and then I got admission to read law. My Father drove all the way to Ife to meet me and he asked, why do you want to go to the University?
“And I said, my ambition is to be a doctor and he said, why are you taking the line of what he called least resistance? And I said, what do you mean by that and he said, well, if you want to be a doctor why don’t you just go and read PHD, get to the very top…
“My dad was talking to a little boy and that got me. So, I packed my bag, left the school of medicine and went to read law.
“And, I got in there, got a scholarship and became the best student, I had a first class in that institution (UNN).

Then launch a brutal offensive on BH Nzeogwu's stupid coup opened the way for other undisciplined soldiers to wreck our country. Many organizations are owned by these looters e.g The Nation Newspapers, TVC are owned by Tinubu and he's had a lot of workers, do you think guys won't roll on mud when he comes through?
Once the law is made from the TOP, then following it; the masses will be glad! What motivation do those at the top have to make laws and follow it Do they have any motivation? Who will motivate them? How will they be motivated?Without the motivation can they do the needful www.nairaland.com/attachments/3937452_fbimg1455225198661_jpeg11aac1d4a66dda821df3f6422c5fd4c4 |

Gracealone: The senator representing Gombe Central Senatorial District, Danjuma Goje, has said at no time did he faced corruption charge totaling N25 billion.
Mr Goje, a former governor of Gombe State, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
The statement signed by Paul Erokoro, lawyer to the senator, said the claim was “inaccurate and untrue.”
Mr Erokoro was reacting to recent reports in the media that corruption charge being faced by the senator were withdrawn following his decision to step down from the Senate president race in June.
He insisted that the actual amount mentioned in the charge was N9 billion.
“The so-called “N25b fraud” that has been bandied about in the media, never featured in the case.
“The sum total of all the monies mentioned in the charge was about N8b.
