Gptech:

Ok then, which ever brand you get, fuel consumption should be roughly thesame.
I got the firman Gen instead 6kva and last night it refused to turn on, it wasn't even kicking and even when I try to use the manual rope, that one too isn't working. A new gen I just bought.

Gptech:

Since you are talking about 2 Acs, fuel efficiency is literally out of the equation. What size of gen are you considering and what's the power of the ACs? Are the ACs inverter type?
the AC's are 3 in number, two are 1hp, the other 1 is 2hp standing and they are low voltage but not inverter ACs, I bought them second hand. I'm thinking of a 8kva - 10kva range.

Is Maxi Generator fuel efficient? I want to get one the appliances at my house are 2 AC's, standing fridge and other house hold items.
Technology Market / **sumec Firman Generator Vs Maxi Generators** by anthoniosp(m): 5:37pm On Jan 20, 2023
Hello.
I'm trying to get an 8kva-10kva generator that can power all my appliances at home, 2 ACs(1hp), fridge, TV, blender, microwave and lights.
I wanted to get the firman generator but everyone has been complaining about the fuel consumption, I heard Maxi generator is also good and has very good fuel efficiency.

Is the brand good and what do you guys think?.
Nairaland / General / Nairaland VS Facebook. Entrepreneurship Lessons by anthoniosp(m): 8:45am On Jun 30, 2017
Last night the big brother of every social media got 2 billion active users after about 13 years, funny enough Nairaland also was created about 13 months after Facebook was created.
What has been the story so far?
Well, before we go into the current state let's go back to the beginning.

First off Both Mark and seun at one point in time had no belive that God existed.

In 2004 mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook, one year later seun osewa founded Nairaland.

Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of school, seun osewa dropped out also.

Mark Zuckerberg gets about $500,000 in seed funding, Seun gets $15 per month hosting sponsorship from a family friend.

This point in the history of Facebook changed everything and they experienced a boom because they were in the right ecosystem and that propelled them meanwhile seun osewa had to go through the tough road of bootstrapping and that accounted to the slow growth it had and I guess why it couldn't reach its maximum potential.

But between the year 2009-2012 both Nairaland and Facebook had one thing in common, they had an almost equal linear growth rate but in 2017 the story is totally different.

Facebook has exceeded its plateau and nairaland is still stuck there boasting of only about 400,000 new members since 2013, Nairaland has refused to grow despite having over 50,000,000 views by visitors which statistically accounts for nothing other than being just a made up story by Nairaland for all we care.

Why has Nairaland stopped growing?
The answer is simple
Nairaland stopped growing because Seun stopped thinking.
The major focus of seun is keeping Nairaland alive and it involves using any means even if it means allowing intertribal wars to keep Nairalanders more active or making sure that Nairaland becomes an entertainment hub for news about snakes and Tonto dike or mercy aigbe.
Oh.. I forgot to add Evans.

We all agree that Nairaland can never become the Facebook but in Nigeria is Nairaland truly a Nigerian platform?
The level of innovative ideas Facebook introduces keeps it alive, there's what is called active participation and Nairaland doesn't have that feature. Because the only feature that we the registered members have is posting and quoting so why should anyone want to become a member?

Nairaland isn't appealing to the eye, I still remember that a guy called Savagefinder made some important features that Nairaland ought to have in the new age and after seun said "ok" that was it, now, look at our mobile app and tell me this is what the number one platform for Nigerians is supposed to have.

A site like Nairaland should at least be more involved in communicating with more Nigerians, I have never seen a Nairaland advertisement any where but I still see Facebook ads, Facebook supports many things from sports to businesses and even fashion but outside our Interschool debate and miss nairaland I am yet to see what Nairaland has to offer, for example, a site like Nairaland having over 50m per year wouldn't die if they should hold a pitching tournament for startups that are flooding Nairaland or support sport activities that can be linked to Nairaland.

If Nairaland is truly Nigerian, it should atleast consist of the rich and the poor, one major advertising strategy that Nairaland could use was making sure that they offer special accounts to one or two famous people. But tell me how those people will even agree to use Nairaland when it's looking like precum?

I know seun has been complaining about spamming and all and how he cannot control it and that left for me I think that is why he is scared of expanding but the best way to kill a disease is to let it kill it self. If people are spamming then let the people kill the spammers. Why not put an automatic strict check that if your thread or post is reported as spam for even as low as 10 times, your account gets automatically deleted, there might be casualties but it would shut down spamming with an aggressive force and when you take out the spam button people will be scared to spam.. Seun.. Think.. Think.

Nairaland could serve as the tool for effective research by Nigerians and also to reach out to a wider audience but the painful thing is that you are even banned for advertising, how can you disable posting of phone numbers in the investment group? How? How are we supposed to connect on the investment platform? Through that dead thing that's called a pm?

Nairaland has the potential to serve 180m Nigerians well and become both Twitter and Facebook and Instagram in one place, you can't compete with Facebook but you can be a real junior brother of Facebook. You can be what Facebook will look up to in the Nigerian society.

Nairaland needs to stop looking at just the current situation but also anticipate the future, in the next 10 years what would be the fate of Nairaland. Lemme guess.. There would still be one snake thread on the front page

mind you they were formed after techno wanted to expand..first off..techno was aided by bird to make its first phone, after which they introduced 2 sims, it was when techno ventured into android that the group was formed to help it expand, where other top Chinese giants bought shares and had to take over a large percent of the groups ides and operations

Slot is not the owner of Tecno and infinix. The owner of tecno owns infinix too; it was initially owned by Zenco, but now they are owned by the guy that owns zinox computers, he is the same man that owns youdala stores and plenty other companies in Naija. He is from Imo state.

infinix, tecno and itel are owned by transcession group, owned by Asian giants of which Mr ezeigbo had to sell out shares to still stay in market and thus is more of a board member not the CEO, he is the CEO of the Tecno and infinix brand and personally the founder of the SLOT brand ..

Business / Re: Aba: We Struggle To Produce Made-in-nigeria Shoes by anthoniosp(m): 7:12am On Dec 03, 2016
agwom:
Aba in Abia State prides itself as the “Japan of Africa”, and a creativity hub in Nigeria. The appellation came through the dexterity and ingenuity of its artisans which have endeared it to investors within and outside the country.

Made in Aba products are fast capturing the world market and shoes are no exemption.

Indeed, the shoe section of Ariaria International Market in Aba reveals the ingenuity and the enterprising spirit of the people. This section comprises the Bakassi Zone, Shoe Plaza, Power Line and Imo Avenue. The section is populated with artisans who churn out shoes of different kinds and is estimated to house over 70, 000 shoemakers besides the apprentices under their tutelage.

Various levels of production, marketing and transportation of the products are involved in shoe-making. While the artisans are busy producing, traders from within and outside Nigeria are picking products of their choice while transporters are evacuating them for onward movement to their respective destinations.

Also, dealers on raw materials such as leather, shoe soles, gum, fibre and other accessories make good sales. Women are also compete for patronage at various stages of production.

Interestingly too, the trade is no longer a business for school dropouts and semi- illiterates as graduates are now actively engaged in it. Little wonder, new innovations are being introduced to the trade.

The chairman Power line Shoe Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (POSMAN), Comrade Joseph Nmeri, told Daily Trust on Saturday that they are impressed with the decision of the Nigerian Army to purchase 50,000 pairs of boots from Aba. He said it is a feat which would encourage local manufacturers.

Nmeri added that shoes produced in Aba can last up to three years because of their quality. However, despite the assurance on quality, shoe manufacturers in Ariaria still find it difficult to label their products “Made in Nigeria.”

According to Nmeri, from the early 80’s, manufacturers were labelling products ‘Made in Aba’ and traders were coming from various parts of Africa to place orders. There was no challenge then but sales issues began when Nigeria signed a bilateral trade agreement with China.

He said the Chinese flooded the markets with their shoes.

“To be able to sell our products, we were compelled by the attitude of Nigerians to label our products “Made-in-China” because our customers believed that Chinese shoes were superior.

Also the Chairman, Aba North Industrial Market (Shoe Plaza division), Christian Okoro, said the order by the Nigerian Army was the beginning of good things for the country and products made in Aba, as it can handle demands from even outside the country.

He pointed out that Aba-made products are exported to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Italy, where they are given more touches and imported back to Nigeria and marketed as foreign shoes. Three major factors, according to him, are responsible for this practice. They include craze for foreign goods, lack of interest in locally made products and the absence of modern machines and equipment for perfect finishing on the products.

Okoro said if provided the needed materials and enabling environment, foreign shoes would be no match to those produced in Aba, adding that most of the artisans would be proud to label their products “Made-in-Aba”. He identified their major challenges as high cost of raw materials, importation of inferior materials, especially gum and chemicals and the unwillingness of leather producers in Kano to sell genuine items.

Other daunting challenges, according to him, include unstable power supply, absence of modern equipment and machines, poor access roads and lack of funds. He called for government intervention, especially in the provision of modern machines which he said, would make their products compete favourably in the international market.

He also appealed to the federal government for financial assistance to artisans. He said a loan of N1billion could change the stories of the over 70,000 shoe makers in the market. This will enable them acquire modern shoe-threading machines among others, he added.

An artisan, Elder Kenneth Nwachukwu, who specialises in military and paramilitary shoes and belts, said he needed some funds to acquire the right machines that would enable him manufacture with better finishing.

He said: “Already, we have orders from contractors for the Civil Defence, Police, Navy and National Youth Service Corps. We produce some of the shoes and the contractors buy them at cheap rates.”

Lawrence Agochi, a 42 year- old father of five with 27 years experience in shoe making, identified lack of funds as his major setback.

He said he could produce an average of 50 pairs of shoes a day, but could triple the quantity with improved equipment. He said he needed N2 million to upgrade his machines.

Another shoe maker, Paul Madubike, who has been on the job for 15 years, said he was a fulfilled man. But like his colleagues, the 40 year-old identified irregular power supply and lack of modern equipment as his major challenges. According to him, with modern equipment he could produce 200 pairs of shoes a day to meet increasing demands from his customers.

In the same vein, Mr. Ikechukwu Anaele, Paul Maduabuchi and Boniface Ejike all expressed satisfaction being shoe makers but also identified lack of facilities as major setbacks. They pleaded for government’s intervention to make progress.

They want the government to also ensure that the needed facilities are provided at the proposed industrial cluster for shoes, garments, belts and bags workers at Umukalika in Obingwa council area before relocating the artisans to the new site. This will boost their morale, they said. The artisans expressed readiness to improve on the quality of their products to enjoy the much desired local and international patronage.

Nigerians floating label anyhow. Nonsense.
In the American music industry there are only three labels: Sony, Universal, and Warner Bros. Any other 'label' you hear about is actually a sublavel to one of these three, or an imprint. But in Nigeria you'll have one upcoming artist forming his own 'record label'. Lmao.
bro don't confuse yourself those are world record labels , ALL other record labels sign promotional deals with them to go international, outside them we still had successful record labels examples are NWA, Ruthless,Ear Drummers, YMCMB , still won't why drake isn't that rich cos he ain't cool with Sony , only top continental artists are given record deals with Sony and the likes example davido is still signed to dmw and signed with Sony. even they too have a lot of record labels. every upcoming artist is signed to one from Young M. A to fetty WAP, even brysson tiller , and Tory lanez

Ok.bro any body that really want to.do this neee to see the place so as to consider various barriers that may affect the network...this is an assumption but could be used in some ways

Yaclick kband..vsat...159k..about 25-90 k in monthly data cost of 20-100 gigabyte in data
Microtifk clout switch...~60k

Internal wireless routers if needed...using a distance of 30-50 meters inbetween the router...
This means you would need about 6-8 wirless routers of 35-50k each

Mind you there routers of 12-20k too

1 Pc..a corei3 would be better...this would serve as the ticketing serverand the host of your microtik os for the wirless network

Cost of pc..should be around 80..120k....this is optional as you could go for microtif router itself
Wiring ...using 100 meters....
Not so sure of how much cat5 or rj45 cable cost now in the market

But i feel you would need a bundle for this project....a bundle is 17-25k

Piping of cables over an area of 350 meters...pipes cost 130-150 per 5 meters

Electrical cable to power up routers ....20...30k

Digging and covering if needed...not so sure if it applies to your terrain

Fina

Microtik software...
thanks... i already grabbed ur nomba
