Wow...Part 5 already huh! That's cool. Hey guys, I'm sorry I have been off for a couple months now but I am still here in spirit. I have been reading and reading and reading from where I stopped but it got to a point I just jumped to the part 5 and here now. Bigfranc...you have really done a lot to this thread same goes to Imperiouxx whom I know is partially mad at me. Bro was busy and that's why I couldn't do that stuff. I'm wishing y'all F1 visa applicants success in your coming interviews...go there confident and prepared, with little or no fear. Speak bold and hit the nail on its head fast and short not around it. Hope you dig! You do all this, the visa is surely yours. I will keep in touch, I gotta run now, we are organizing Halloween party for tomorrow and I'm part of the organizers. fittty: How old are you? Cos I see you're going for undergrad studies. And which school did you apply to? Both matters a lot. Schools with names like "University of bleep" or "Bleep state University" will give u higher chances of getting the visa. But community colleges or "VIU's" will get you no where....... If your age is up then u should be ready to explain to the VO what you've been doing sinceNot only age explanation...Time explanation too...if you are going for undergrad and you finished high school many years ago..U go shalaye yourself too. OjaP: I think they can if they want. If in doubt, ask folks in the Canada or UK Visa section.Its 2 ways. They can and they cant....they can in the sense that they can reveal if the account is genuine, the name on the account and location if needed AND they cant in the sense that a bank will never reveal confidential bank info to a 3rd party regardless of who is asking for it. risher ris: i dont know if anyone has noticed this, vo s dont check documents again,all through my stay at the embassy,pple interviewed did not show any documents to the vo...all throughif you have a nice convo with them, they will enjoy the discussion and wont bother to ask for docs because they are convinced you are saying the truth but if you are messing up in your responses and they are finding it difficult to understand you or see ingenuity in you, they might ask for document to proof or just deny you straight...Different VO...Different level of Patience. The only reason why you are advised to take these vaccines and checks before you leave the country is the cost. If you decide to do it here it will cost you 2 times what you would have spent in Nigeria if you had done it there. You will need those checks and vaccine certificate and health generally for school registration purpose. All students must have health insurance. So the choice is yours...Cheers  |

Walspring: Delta Airline is too expensive... Try emirate and others cos you will see below 200Kyes try others...delta is an official American flight. they are too expensive. I booked a flight from NY to Logan airport Boston and something happened, i could not fly that day. I called them and they could neither extend my flight to the next day for free nor refund me. I swear for them cut fone.  |

GboyegaD: I wil suggest you do New York as there are many options and then book from New York to your final destination.how come y'all paying this high. I paid less than $900 as a matter of fact, i think it was 850 early this year for my flight from lagos to New York. Qatar airways. But it was a stop over flight sha.. 8 hrs.  but i still enta the same yankee na... if u are trying to save money and can go thru that stress of sleeping at the airport and not missing ur flight the next day...go for it. Me i missed my flight because i shark ogogoro (Hennessy) for inside plane and slept too much at the airport..i woke up when the next en-route plane was just taking off...but i was booked for the next day flight. so i use 2 days for airport. My advise, carry out extensive research, the interview doesnt always follow a particular trend or pattern.. a chic was asked how cold her school is as in average temperature year round and what is a must have as an international student, another was asked how will he get into his school, which airline, flight route and closest airport to his school. location of school in terms of geography(north, west, south east), which states share border and what is the state known for.... funny questions right? Mehn see question....why that kinda question...geographical position of the school..hehe..dat one na die hard VO...what has a student got to do with the temperature of the school at that moment of interview...Well one just have to prepare extensively for this our oga dem...Nice one and Good for you. Thanks for the advice. Please can you tell me when the next list for 2014 winners will be out. I actually played it for my girlfriend and on may 1st i checked it for her but she is not yet a winner. The issue now is thsi re applying is tricky for me, my uncle said he can't put more money into the accounts because he doesn't have for now. My sch resumes aug so I feel I still have time. But I don't have a realtive who has so much like that in thier acct. I'm also thinking if I change my sponsor wouldn't I be heading for another denial? Also seeing that even if I get another sponspr it wudnt be a relative and how much shud the person have in their acct? Well since you said you dont lie, and you are a Jesus walk gurl..."No insult intended" I will suggest you do it this way. I think before you got admitted, you submitted a "Declaration of Finance" which requires you sending the school an account statement showing the required amount by the school. For the school to have admitted you, it means you met those financial requirements. So how come you didnt take that same statement to the embassy? Anyways, what i will advice you to do now is to either email your school and tell them you want to change your sponsor (that would require submitting another DCF form) and they'll issue you another i-20 with whosoever name as sponsor on it. "but that will require you to defer your admission" hope you know. Then after you get the new i-20, you can reapply and surely you will get the visa....Cheers sister |

Imperiouxx....mehn i am so sorry. You are absolutely right. My head has been bombarded that i dont even have time for myself again. It is from one assignment to Research work to practical to program to events. Even i had to cancel my job because it was clashing with my lectures. I don tire mehn. I cant wait till summer. I will never take any class this summer. I want to rest my head and muscle. + i need to flex now....I want to go to brazil with my female classmate. She is inviting me to come see her family. I still have those stuffs with me. I bought the stamps already sef but i dont know where i dropped them. I will have to do everything all over again. Hope you no vex. I have really missed everyone here. Mamacita, Yvete, Kpoli, Smithjanetstore omo ibile and the rest. This weekend i will take my time to read the whole thread from where i last stopped which i know will take me several hrs. I have to get back to research work now.   imperiouxx: Oh my! flynbird: Na wah oh! I jst checked my mail and read a mail from the school saying I have to complete an online 45mintues writting assessment on ETS website. After scoring 91 in Toefl. Smh! They say only Business and System Tech grad applicants are exempted from taking the assessment.I guess schools are going tough now. They musta had bad experiences from 9ja students who get admissions and dont show. Even my school complained about it too on our Orientation day...lol #9ja no dey carry last |

Wow...Thank God the week ended well. The young terrorist was captured alive and in custody. Yvete: Don't be cheap @ Olarwarlaybut this payment thing..is it a new policy for schools before they send i-20 you have to pay some fee? I didnt pay any fee for receiving mind via fedex 3 days express home delivery. apart from my application fee. And i deferred 2 good times and all the 3 i-20s they sent was thru fedex and i didnt pay a dime. So im kinda confused  |
