Moreso, registering for their conference, is it a guarantee you will get the visa? Tell me after they get the invitation letter to you. I'll advice you to always check at nights because they release some dates out of the booked one most times (probably from applicants that cancel). You might check back tonight and see dates for tomorrow or next or monday available when you see such, you can quickly book it (which means you will have to be well prepared and ready to have your interview at any time T). Dear Imperioxx, kpoli and the rest gurus in the house. I want to ask a question, as you all know I am on the race to secure an F1 visa after being denied in September. I plan on scheduling my interview for November ending or 1st week of december. Now my question is: can I go to America via another visa type other than F1. There is a company that is going for a conference in first week of January and I was asked to apply if I want to join them. I don't know if its possible for me to go with them when I have already gone for an interview for F1 visa and was denied in september. Kindly advice me please. Because I think going with them (the conference)has positive % and assurance of getting the visa than going for another interview for my F1 by month end. I need your help and advices please.

MRV payment receipt is the receipt GT bank will give you after you have paid the visa fee which cost 26,400....And Sevis fee can not be made at UBA. it can only be paid abroad via post cash, Money Order or Western Union. Cheers.

Ok I just called the us visa mobile number she gave me and they said I can proceed with the schedule. She also said there are available dates in October for Lagos 23rd upwards and no dates in November yet for Lagos but abuja has dates for November but none for October. My first interview was at Abuja where I got denied visa. I want to do this one in Lagos, do you think I'm doing the right thing and they ain't gonna be a problem? I await una responses.

Guys make Una help me o.....I'm just coming from GT bank now, I went to pay the my visa fee, 26,400. But the lady there made a mistake on the entry, instead of Student (academic) in the visa category, she went to put Business/Tourist. I don dey rake for the whole bank since morning because she was telling me since business/tourist visa fee is the same amount with student then there that shud not be a problem, at the end of the day she gave me a number to call that they would fix the issue, I said its the bank's duty to call and not mine. After the whole thing sha I left the bank. Please can someone tell me if this will be a problem for me, or can I proceed with scheduling of my interview, what of during interview, will the VO pinpoint that as an issue? justwise: Having a huge amount of money in an account does not necessarily mean that one will be issued a visa.

What matters alot is the prove that you earned the money either through salary or business, payslips or bank statement is one of the ways to prove that however....your bank statement has to show periodical and consistent salary payment, then it will be easy for the embassy to know that you earned that money.

If you are using business account then your tax clearance is a most which will indicate your gross and net profit.

koolmd: Hello Anthonymighty, let me share my experience and let's see the disconnects in both scenarios and am sure you can take it from there.my first schengen visa to france was on a virgin passport though the journey was fully sponsored by my company as it was a business trip. The second was a tourist visa to Netherland though issued by France- jointly sponsored by myself and the coy i work for. From my experience, they always want to establish you have strong tie to your country. In both cases i applied as single and i was issued. You stated that you dont have pay slips- You need it for this application to prove a point. (it helps to reconcile the source of the money in your acct...that might have been a lowlight for you), Again your reservations were obviously not gon be valid for the trip as your application was still under processing some days to your flight departure and hotel check-in..it is clearly stated on VFS website that you apply well in advance). If you are sure the account you submitted are in your name, then apply again, but then you need to provide payslips for 3months (i usually provide 6months and my acct statement where you can easily reconcile the salary credits from my coy. as same on my pay slips, although i have other sources of income too).REFER TO JUSTWISE'S POST ON THE TOPIC (the experience i shared is a practical demonstration of what he's trying to say). You should also write a cover letter on your intended visit as well as a letter of introduction from your company. Also include your income tax clearance for same period as well as other documents reqiured as stated on VFS website. Wish you the best!!

Make sure your hotel reservation is a paid one. Get receipt from the hotel to support your
application. Also, write a statement of purpse which clears how money enters ur acct....

Then search online for the city where your hotel is, get sight seeing centers. Do some booking.
In your SOP, state convincing reasons why you wanna visit those places... you know the power of
copywriting comes into play here...

Bro I think you have to take the exam o....even mine states that the student has all the required English proficiency.....and I'm still doing the exam . Your i20 states it all....it means you are not yet proficient and need to show evidence that you are proficient. By taking an English proficiency exam...don't be surprise if the VO banks on that during interview. Cheers.

Its my personal savings account. I didn't use a sponsor. I don't have a fixed amount that enters it monthly. I work for my dad and most time i see big money from contracts and sometimes small. He doesn't officially pay me as a staff. I have no pay slip. Was that the problem why they used the word "subsistence" In that case how can i rectify the issue before i re-apply. Thanks.

justwise: They are basically saying that you did not show sufficient money to sustain you during your stay in France and that the reason you gave for traveling to France is not liable.....meaning that its not good enough reason to travel to France.

Regarding the English Proficiency. I emailed my school for waiver and here is what she said:

Hello Anthony, attached is your updated decision letter. In terms of a TOEFL waiver letter we don’t process these letters for any student. Your decision letter will suffice to give to your embassy for proof of full acceptance. In regards to the new DCF documents you sent to us they were received on October 12th.

That's what she said. But I know these VO dem no dey like hear say you no do the exam. Score might not matter. Just do the exam right?

dotcom_na_me_na_me: Well, from what you stated here. I think it has to be your failure to provide evidence of personal ties. Firstly, is the Statement of account yours on ur name? Secondly, is the property yours on ur name? If not they might asume that there is possibily for u to abscond from work and travel to France and never return to Nigeria since you have not married, no children, and no personal property. Even if you have millions in your account does not commensurate with ties, as your millions N$ can be easily transfered to u in France from Nigeria. So the onus is on you to demostrate that you meet their relevant rules requirements. Though it is not compulsory & nor obligation that an applicant must be married before been issued a visa, but as learnt from Vicjustice and Justwise, i think those might be the reasons for your refusal. The letter from your dad should have state wether u'll be getting paid or not while on holiday, and when to resume work.

Your personal bank statement- showing enough thats cover ur trip 1m is ok at least for 7 days lets say.. A letter must attached from d bank confirm its yours.
If u'll be sponsored, your Sponsor's Bank Statement, and a letter from his bank stating he's d owner
Your sponsors proof of income
A letter of sponsorship from your sponsor stating his/her relationship with you, if possible can attach any proof
Your Pay slips 3 months- let me say optional but i think it should be included
Your medical insurance for Schengen
Hotel reservation confirmation
Flight reservation confirmation
Statement of purpose- optional

Though its descretion by the officer, ut with prayer and correct required documents, u should get it if u reapply. But i heard that French ain't refuse like other schengen embassy

Flight Itinerary (which states i will fly on 14th of OCT but i submited my application on 5th october which happens to be a friday and went for my bio-metrics on 8th which is a Monday. I couldnt meet the date my flight itinerary as i was asked to wait 10 days for my application to be processed. Could this have been the reason?)

Hotel Reservation ( had same date problem as stated above, i was suppose to check in 15th on the hotel reservation confirmation i submitted.)

Valid Medical Insurance from AIICO

Statement of account; Savings and DOM (Naira and DOllars) Naira contains more than 2 million, 2.2 to be precised. and the Dom has almost 7000USD.

Certificate of Incorporation.

Letter of introduction from my DAD's company stating i am one of the Directors. and that i am going to france on tourism purpose.

Those are the documents i submitted. What could have been the problem? Or is it because i have a 3 months single Entry Kenya visa which was issued on september 25th on my passport and have not gone? Kindly look into it for me please because i am planning to re-submit the application soon after i have corrected my mistakes.

PS. Are there any documents missing which i was suppose to add? or do i have to get evidence that i am going on tourism? this is my first time applying and the refusal stamp on my passport saddens my heart. Hence the reason why i must get the visa

Thanks Ferdiii for the contribution. Even if its not the same, i still dont need to make a new payment. All i need do is to transfer the sevis to the new ID number.

imperiouxx: My Fall 2011 sevis number remains the same as the Spring 2012. I deferred to Spring because my IA messed up my I-20 a month to resumption wihile I haven't got a date for interview. However, a friend told me his school changed his after the first I-20 (though there was few months gap after his first denial to when he requested for a new I-20). This is unusual.

Thanks imperiouxx. I emailed my IA and she even said she is not 100% sure if it will remain the same or change. She asked me to wait until i get the new i-20 to be sure before i proceed on anything. And

He says all the several months applicants do wait before they can have their interviews will be corrected thereby giving no room for agents/touts who collect money from people to get them early dates. he is implementing a policy whereby an applicant will schedule and get visa within 20 days. unlike before where you are intending to book for appointment and the available dates are discouraging....I didn't read much tho but that's what he was saying.

hello guys, first of all i know this is not a thread for FRANCE visa but i have searched for such thread and didnt see, the only one i saw was about welfare in france and didnt contain alot of posts. Here is my question.

I was recently denied visa to go to france on tourism purpose. Yesterday when i went to pickup my passport at VFS i was given a white paper where they marked 3 different reasons why i was denied but i am still confused because i submitted all authentic and necessary docs. Here are the reasons they gave me so one of you can please explain to me what it means and what i have to do to correct these mistakes because i am planning to re-apply next week.

REASONS ARE AS FOLLOW:

1) You have not provided proof of sufficient means of subsistence, for the duration of the intended stay or for the return of the country of origin or residence, or for the transit to a third country into which you are certain to be admitted, or you are not in a position to acquire such means lawfully. (dont know what this means. meanwhile i have a kenya tourist visa on my passport valid for 3 months but i have not gone.)

2) the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable

3) your intention to leave the territory of the member state before the expiry of the visa could not be ascertained.

Those are the 3 reasons. i really want to work on this reasons but i need to be sure what i am doing this time so i dont get refused for the 2nd time. I await your response my good people. thanks

You didnt get me well. I have my sevis receipt with me. What i'm asking is will the new i-20 carry the same sevis number or a different one. because if it carries a different one i will have to transfer the old sevis to the new sevis ID. and i dont know how to do that. You dig?
