Yvete: hahahaaa I sincerely mean it. I told mamacita the night before your interview. You can ask her.
Such is life...I believe you.....that's why sometimes you need to give people a little more chance to prove themselves before you judge...but you are really doing a great job here.....I can't count how many times your comments have inspired me in various ways.....even during my interview....I used most of your suggested techniques....your toughness I believe it's your nature...so EVERYBODY you have to accept Yvete the way she spits it out grin....because later on...you will like her advices... smiley..it's all good Mami.....gracias wink

Yvete: Noted. I will stop extending myself.

My thing is, i know the nonsense of the cyber-world. I ain't scared. Sometimes, I question the mental or emotional well-being of some people. The same dynamic that you observe here is the underlying cause of most problems in Nigeria. ie. delusion, false hope and a whole lot more. Admittedly, the only person I owe an apology is Anthony because I judged him wrongly in the beginning. All other wannabes can have several seats.

ollyboy1: I can see u are a bit confused right now. Firstly u have to look for a way to fill in the gap of the 7 years u had inbtw ur education.
Secondly forget about the viu and the presidential scholarship u were given. It is just a bait to lure you to their school.Look for a minimum of two good schools in different states, pay their application fee and apply.
Thirdly:defer till summer or fall 2013 and write another toefl exam since u said the previous one u did was pretty low.
Lastly:I suspect the agent was the one that filled ur ds 160 for u b4 and the agent must av filled married for you that was why the vo was asking are you married repeatedly(I guess). Fill ur ds 160 ursef and be consistent with it.
Take your cool and I wish you all the best in ur next interview and keep praying.
Well written......nice 1......so bros smith or Janet ......follow those steps and you will be on the right lane.....instead of BRT lane grin

imperiouxx: I wonder why those wretched Nigerian agents won't hesitate to lure travel wannabes with those technical. Those agents won't advertise world leading schools such MIT, Sanford, Harvard and other government schools in the US but VIU, devry, Phoenix etc, all for the same price and stress. If you open your yahoomail and see school adverts flashing, ask yourself if the school is so tiny that people in US couldn't see it for it to be on yahoo ads.

@olarwarlay,

So far on this thread, we've seen VIU visa applicants vs US embassy Nigeria 0 - 4 within one month. Digest that.

Seunbunmi...Your name sounds masculine and feminine as well. Anywhich way sha...I dey the same shoe with you somehow. I think Yvete has explained everything you/will need above bit by bit. Read it because its self explanatory. So if you cant make it now, defer to Summer which means you will have to get a new i-20 from your current school for next available Term. when you enter the US then you do all the above listed steps Yvete mentioned. kilo tu ku like this grin
TravelRe: E-passport Renewal/extension by Anthonymighty(m): 4:40am On Jan 03, 2013
They gave me a late resumption but just 3 days extra from that 7th. I wanted a date on 14th at least due to some family reasons. Anyways back to the passport issue. Did you renew or extend. How do you mean if I have problem at the airport? Can I renew/extend now that I have less than 6 months validity on it and I hope it won't affect my visa in anyway?

kpolli: They refused to give u a late resumption ke. . . Ur skool is funny, am not in this section. . . Just followed ur post. . . . It's harder renewing it here but it's advised u do it from here. . . . not too sure, but if u have any wahala at the airport, u can renew b4 u leave. . . took me 3 days to renew when I was in Naija
TravelRe: E-passport Renewal/extension by Anthonymighty(m): 4:22am On Jan 03, 2013
Kpoli thanks man. So you dey this section too. I deferred my admission to April term jare. I can't make that January 7th date my school gave me and they have refused to give me a late resumption deadline. So you mean I should travel with it that way in April and when it expires in June I can then re-new or extend. Which of the 2 will I do when it expires and I heard its more stressful doing it there than here.

kpolli: Travel to US, renew ur passport in US when it expires
TravelRe: E-passport Renewal/extension by Anthonymighty(m): 4:07am On Jan 03, 2013
Hey guys. I am confused right now after reading all this. In my own case, I was approved for visa on 27th of december 2012 which is some few days back. I'm suppost to pick up my visa at ikeja tomorrow. Before my interview at US embassy lagos, my passport was suppose to expire in June 2013. But now I already have a visa of 2 years on it, what do I do? Do I travel to the US with it because its an F1 visa and I am to resume in April which is just 2 months before the expiry of my passport. I don't know what to do if it is possible to extend it here with my visa on it or travel down in april and have it extended over there. Kindly advice please as this is really bothering me. Thanks

Hey guys....how long does it take this people to create visas....I had my interview on 27th and they have not contacted me to come and pick my visa. I was thinking its because of the holiday....normally it shouldn't be more than 3 days innit.....well should I call them? Or just wait till th end of today. Or just go straight to Ikeja?....kindly advice.

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by Anthonymighty(m):
Yvete: I believe you're hot all day, everyday. grin

Take my comment as read. I was trying to figure out why the VO laughed. Okay? Starting all over as a freshman is what I find improper and presumed that the VO could have as well because its costs you more money and more years. Do you ride a bicycle from Lag to Abj when you can ride a bus or fly to your destination faster? That's my reasoning behind the comment that someone else could not grasp. Unless you have no certifications/diploma/degree you can try again this semester giving solid examples that explain how productively you've been working towards the Automotive degree.

When you say automobile, most people would immediately think Michigan because of its auto industry. If you don't try again this semester, apply to stellar Colleges like Michigan State (MSU) for the same degree or Mech. Eng elsewhere. PS: The automotive degree is popular with schools like Everest and co ... technical schools. When you come in for a bachelors in the US, your major is unofficial and you're not allowed to declare officially till the 1st semester your junior year. Meaning: You can switch your degree plan as soon as you step foot in the college. My older sis went from a Diploma in Accounting at UniAbuja -> One semester at Texas A&M Accounting -> changed her mind to UT Austin for BS Nursing then MS Nursing. It was fast. If its easier to get a visa with Mech. Eng, go for it. All the best.

Henceforth, I refuse to anyone who's reasoning is obviously skewed, poses with fake Christian empathy and used my name maliciously. ....

Sorry Walex ... Life goes on.
Yvete...I really have some questions for you regarding some aspect I am confused about....it's kinda personal though...gimme your email so I can email you directly. Thanks.

PS. How's Señorita Mamacita doing now....my warm regards 2her. wink
