obong link=topic=99.msg5060#msg5060 date=1118619913: I live in the US and folks urinate on the streets (even on the train) all the time. No biggie.
I don't find nigerians to be a wolf0like as you describe them. Most, especially outside of Lagos, are cool folks Here in Uk, people don't pee on the streets, but they vomit on the streets and er, they eat on the streets while walking. That's freedom because I know peops in Nigeria can never eat on the streets because they like posing too much. Imagine walking and eating Mr biggs' rice...no, Nigerians will say they are too much for that. It's good sha. omo na lie be that o! I've seen 2 guys (white) urinating on de street of london twice o! |

hey, am not trying 2 ridicule anybody and please wen I said we need a revolution I didn't mean a bloody one I personally believe dat globalisation is another way of enslavering de poor & voiceless masses. |
Music/Radio › Re: The Live8 Concerts by anugirl(f): 1:54pm On Jun 28, 2005 |
Thanks for raising this issue. I think we Africans should liberate ourselves completely from de Oyinbo man. I don't support all those useless funds. Instead of raising funds and sympathising, the Western world (apart from the useless and brainless leaders we have) should leave Africa to solve her problems alone without their "pseudo help" They caused everything and they still continue to create more problems just for the sake of their selfish interests. How can they continue to hurt us and at the same time provide medications? Africa can solve her problems alone if only they let de ancient continent be. Imagine! few African artists are performing at the Live8 concerts, which are meant to be for the future of Africa. Finally, I think there should be more awareness among Africans. We have the potentials; we just need 'courage & truthfulness'. We need revolution!
Seun, Live8 is a series of concerts and events across the globe to combat poverty in Africa, organised by Irish rocker-turned activist Bob Geldof. I can't believe that there are some people who don't know what Live8 is. |

Sorry to say, but I dislike those people because they have no respect for their women. They are uncivilised! Women are the best creatures of God. The so-called male gender should accept that we (women) represent the earth, so we are to be honored. |

Don't forget about the "phishers" also. They are more dangerous and you can easily fall into their trap. Those sending mail are still are better because only the most foolish person on earth will believe all the nonsense they write.

I guess you're right I think the FG of nigeria should do something about this case 'cause this people av really destroyed nigerian image in de rest of de world. One of my british friend got such message and I was embarrased when he called mi 2 read it. And moreover the FG, Police force, et cetera are also 419, so it will be a great task to eradicate this problem. |
Crime › Re: Internet 419 by anugirl(f): 3:26pm On Jun 23, 2005 |
IAH: They call them Yahoo boys: Nigerian 419 scammers who send e-mails to swindle Western people. A typical 419 e-mail bears the name of a notable Nigerian (or his family member) as the sender, claiming he/she has millions of $$$ stashed away in a foreign bank and needs a few thousand $$$ to get it out, then he promises the "target" a share of the millions if he helps.
I receive such e-mails almost everyday...maybe they think I am one oyinbo mugun. This menace has badly dented the image of Nigeria to the international community. Just enter "Nigeria 419" in Google and you'll see what I'm talking about. It was even featured in a video game! (Doom 3)
There are many sites dedicated solely to nabbing and disgracing these scammers e.g. www.419eater.com, www.scamorama.com, www.ebolamonkeyman.com, www.crimes-of-persuasion.com, www.419fraud.com ... I can go on and on. (They are more than fifty!) Last year, Nigerian e-mail scams constituted the biggest consumer fraud on the internet according to the US State Department and over $100,000 is lost PER DAY, in the US alone, to these scammers!
And it's getting worse by the day. Why is it Nigeria? What can the Federal Government of Nigeria, The Police force or some other bodies, and U & I as patriotic citizens of Nigeria do to curb this evil practice because it is greatly spoiling our image and also limiting e-commerce & e-business for Nigeria.
Any views? I guess u're right i think the FG of nigeria should do something about dis case 'cause dis people av really destroyed nigerian image in de rest of de world. One of my british friend got such message and i was embarrased wen he called mi 2 read it. |

Romance › Re: Why are Women Not Crazy About Tall Men? by anugirl(f): 2:46pm On Jun 23, 2005 |
Pinky: Everyone wants what's good, but I think we girls always attach too much importance to men's physique (I am no exception, mind you!) I always want my men tall, broadchested, handsome. It just adds to a lady's confidence about her guy. I always feel like a G when I go to someplaces with a tall guy. Every girl stirs his way, admire him & wishes they were his girl.
So don't blame we girls for liking the tall guys. At least we wont date guys shorter than us. LOL point of correction! Guys are dos who attach too much importance to ladies physique. |
