redsun: Just lose all your sense of morality and empathy, then you will fit in.That is if you have any at all as a typical born and bred Nigerian.
This is a really scary comment to me mate. I'm not born in nigeria or bred. But I originally descend from Nigeria. So are you telling me I can not be in seat of power if I'm not born in nigeria. embarassed

Do you know how many times people have told me that.
Even my own mother told me that's the only way.She does not want me to get into politics, she's a strong Christian.

That option is not available, next wink.

phantom: Top 10 largest economies (2012)

Here are the world's largest economies as of 2012 using GDP (PPP) Gross Domestic Product at Purchasing Power Parity. This method however uses the U.S. dollar to measure each country's equivalent goods and services. The European Union's economy if included as a trading bloc would be the world's top economy at $15.65 trillion.

1. United States
Leading the pack is the United States with a GDP (PPP) of $15.29 trillion and a per capita GDP of $48,100. Its economy's growth rate slowed to a rate of 1.5% in 2011 down from 3% in 2010 as a result of the on going economic slowdown. Analysts estimate that it will continue to post these growth rates in the following years.

2. China
With a GDP (PPP) of $11.4 trillion, China is the biggest winner during the global recession as a result of tightly controlled currency system which greatly benefits its manufacturing base. China's growth rate in 2011 is a very impressive 9.2%. Not so bad considering its growth rate in 2010 is 10.5%. China's aging population is a great concern noting that Japan's stagnant economy is due to the fact that its population is aging, whether or not the same fate would happen to China will be revealed in the years to come.

3. India
The world's second most populous nation is now head to head with Japan's economic might. With a GDP (PPP) of $4.5 trillion, it is still open for debate whether it has truly overtook Japan's stagnating and slowing economy. However, with a growth rate of 7.8% it is set to pull ahead and settle as the world's 3rd largest economy.

4. Japan
Japan's high tech themed economy is unfortunately not growing at all, at -0.5% it is actually shrinking. With a GDP (PPP) of $4.49 trillion it is close to say if Japan actually fell to 4th largest economy, even if it is still the world's 3rd largest, it is bound to drop lower in the rankings if its economy cannot get out of stagnation. Its high surplus or savings rate in the past proved to be a problem later on in the game as consumer demand also stagnated because the Japanese wants to save more instead of spending it.

5. Germany
With a GDP (PPP) of $3.13 trillion and a growth rate of 2.7% in 2011, Germany is a leading exporter of chemical and machinery. It is also the top financier and the largest economy in the European Union. Fiscal problems within the Eurozone particularly that of Greece's carried a significant burden to Germany's economic growth but still managed to pull a positive growth rate thanks to a recent rebound in exports and manufacturing orders.

6. Russia
Russia's revitalized market economy from a centrally planned economy proved very beneficial to its citizens jumping right up to world's 6th largest economy. As the world's leading oil producer and possessing the world's largest natural gas reserves, Russia has a GDP (PPP) at $2.4 trillion and is still growing at a rate of 4.3% as of 2011.

7. Brazil
Brazil's GDP (PPP) at $2.32 trillion overtook the United Kingdom to claim the world's 7th largest economy. At a real growth rate of 2.7% in 2011 down from 7.5% in 2010 it is still reasonable to say that Brazil's economy will stay ahead of Britain's sluggish economy.

8. United Kingdom
Britain's public debt coupled with an economic slow down gradually reduced its growth rate from 1.4% in 2010 to only 1.1% in 2011, these figures are actually a great improvement from a negative 4 growth rate back in 2009. The U.K's GDP (PPP) as of 2011 is at $2.29 trillion, but with a slow growth rate, it is uncertain whether the U.K can reclaim its former spot from Brazil as the 7th largest.

9. France
France's growing unemployment rate, and fiscal deficits pushed the country to implement austerity measures to bring down its budget deficit to a 3% target by the year 2013. Its growth rate since has increased from a -2.6% in 2010 to 1.7% in 2011. France's GDP (PPP) is at $2.24 trillion.

10. Italy
With a growth rate of 0.38% in 2011, Italy might lose its spot as the world's 10th largest economy to Mexico which is closing in with a real growth rate of 3.8% in 2011 and a GDP (PPP) of $1.68 trillion compared to Italy's $1.87 trillion. Italy's sluggish economic growth is largely impacted by the Eurozone crisis.
http://www.econtrader.com/economics/explain/what_are_the_worlds_largest_biggest_economies.htm

incase it escaped you, your 'UK' has been overtaken by 'slum infested'brazil as the 7th largest economy.stop making a fool of yourself.very soon that your 'free healthcare' will become expensive for the UK to manage.if they like they should go on with their 'we are better than all y'all' attitude and conservatism and watch the rest of the world move past them.then people like you go find how you go take come back but we go bust you for MMA... grin grin
IT's obvious you are not a worthy opponent to argue with. You think I am some ignorant fool. The BRIC'S(which Brazil is part off) are going to be the next biggest top economies by 2025. Believe me when I say UK won't get to that stage your useless self claims. This is a country that rules the ozzyland(Australia,New Zealand), Canada and the Caribbean islands. And all the money that flows in to these countries, allot of there earnings will flow into the British economy.except if they white dominated only a little of there earnings will flow into the British economy, example: AUSTRALIA,CANADA E.G

The British are not the dominative troublesome type like does Americans, you are getting it confused.
That's the major reason why Caribbean people are not fully human developed, because the British government is racist.

ROSSIKE: Are you a Nigerian? Yes? I guess that makes YOU, your mother, father, children, siblings and your entire family worthless, hopeless and incompetent. A waste of space and a drain on the earth's resources. Thanks for enlightening us on your uselessness.
are you serious my family are Nigerian British because they all bloody born in England mate.
AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN THAT GOD FORSAKING COUNTRY IS USELESS,SO USELESS AND ANYONE LIKE YOUR MORONIC DERANGED SELF WILL FALL INTO THE HANDS OF CORRUPTION RICH OR POOR.TRUST ME I STUDIED PSYCHOLOGY.AND DON'T EVER TALK ABOUT SOMEONE'S FAMILY LIKE THAT. angry angry

THIS ONE THING I ARGUED WITH THAT INHUMANE HUMAN NAIJASWAG ON SKYSCRAPER CITY ABOUT.MORE THAN A THIRD OF NIGERIANS WILL FALL INTO THE HANDS OF CORRUPTION IF THEY BECOME IN POWER. lipsrsealed. YOU ARE VERY WICKED TO TALK ABOUT YOUR'E INNOCENT FAMILY LIKE THAT.
PoliticsRe: Major Projects Under Construction In Nigeria (pics) by anulaxad(m): 1:57pm On Jan 05, 2013
ROSSIKE: You're WRONG. Malls and hotels are developments that require thousands of workers in all areas to build, maintain, and support them. Even the building of your home or office contributes to economic development. Or did human beings not build and maintain those structures? Did they do it for free? Fact is when there is a construction boom, it impacts positively on the economy, providing opportunities to the workforce. If you look at what the US did to stimulate their economy after the Bush decline, it was construction they focused on. They knew the economic activities generated by that would catapault the economy back to life, which it did.
Construction boom is good for citizens and people of a country. BUT HOW ON EARTH IS CONSTRUCTION BOOM GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY,not only will it be(economy means money, if you did not know)decrease the internal value of the economy but it it might not work out well. Its why countries like the UK developed itself fast so that all the money that they earn later, they save by exchanging it by gold so its worthwhile. They UK can always develop it's country more but they have better stuff do like taking care of there people.paying for everyone's free healthcare, education e.g. Britain's rich for a certain reason there sustainable, they save there money which increases there wealth making them one of the richest countries in the world.DON'T GET ME WRONG THERE bloody(FAACKING SON OF A BI TCHES) THIEF'S STEALING FROM NEARLY EVERY CONTINENT ON THE WORLD BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY WASTE MONEY LIKE HELL,JUST LIKE YOUR FOOCKING NIGERIAN LEADERS DO.

If I was the president of Nigeria, in fact even a governor I will focus on infrastructure:

street lined shops.

special(African designed)pavements and roads giving the country a special meaning.Just like how the italians build most of the roads by special mineral bricks.

architectural buildings, housing estates, extremely clean roads with each work department in every local government council(borough).

modern facilities(and the 419 term, that fraudulent Nigerian use, is ultra modern no undecided)and basic facilities like water supply and electricity.

Let's not forget the peoples enjoyment(tourism).Constructing malls, beaches by the sea including, theme parks and funfair's.

Parks where you can take your children to play a bit or where you can have a family(day) picnic(out.

world star hospitals and driving schools.

But man,I will build the most architectural designed schools the world has ever see.schools that teach Nigerian history for once.

Better English schools then the one's found in England. that's how nigeria was, back in the late 1960's to the 1970's due to yakubu gowon's investment in education and country structuring.

This all what that useless government should focus own. lipsrsealed

What I am trying to say is that a country like nigeria that can develop itself in year does not need all this fraudulent claims.

London has slums too, Its not all English tea and Big Ben grin
You wish, may I ask how would you know?
London, the most competitive city in the world has slums, you are funny cheesy. IF YOU FIND ANY SLUMS FROM LONDON THAT ARE FROM THE SAME 21 ST CENTURY WE ARE IN, POST IT.AND IF YOU DO, I SHALL WRITE AN APOLOGY FOR EVEN TRYING TO STEP UP TO YOU.BUT ITS VERY UNLIKELY. sad

ENGLAND A COUNTRY THAT RECEIVES PROBABLY THE BEST HEALTHCARE IN THE WORLD YOU ARE TALKING LIKE THAT.WHERE HEALTHCARE IS FREE FOR MOST OF ITS CITIZEN.
WAIT, A COUNTRY WHERE ANYONE WHO IS NOT WORKING OR RECEIVING GOVERNMENT BENEFITS AND PEOPLE WHO EARN LOW WAGES, (SOMETHING THAT'S MORE THAN MINIMUM WAGES IN THAT GOD FORSAKING COUNTRY), ARE ENTITLED TO FREE HEALTHCARE.

AND THIS IS NOT EVEN COMPARED TO THE CHINESE OR JAPANESE GOVERNMENT, WHICH IF I HAD TIME I CAN EXPLAIN WHY THEY ARE EVEN BETTER. AND THEN SOMEONE HAS THE GUTS TO SAY NIGERIA IS ON THE RISE. A COUNTRY THAT A LITTLE FIRE CRACKER, DESTROYED SEVERAL HOUSES AND LEAVING ONE DEAD. WHILE IN BRAZIL THERE WAS A BUILDING, FULL OF CHEMICALS, WHICH SET ON FIRE, BUT NO WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIED AND IT HARDLY AFFECTED THE NEIGHBOURHOOD. lipsrsealed

seunfly: Well try to do the following:
* familiarise your self with the peaple particularly at the grassroot level, let them know you and do something for them, something small but very useful to them eg borehole, fertilizer or agricultural stuff, community developmental project, religious activities etc
* make political contact and alignments in your area, though the shortest way to make it politicaly in Nigeria is to align with winning side which has encouraged godfatherism in Nigeria, but i will encourage you to align with peaple that you share same ideology and vission.
*Join a political party, your ideology will determine the peaple you associate with this then will determine your political party do not be decieved good and bad peaple are in all the political parties it just depend on your area example pdp is good in akwa-ibom and acn is good in edo state and apga is also good in imo where as pdp is disaster in osun or delta.
*Work with the God you serve very well, and pray to that God you are serving because politic in Nigeria is not a fair game it is do or die affairs to them.
Suggestion:
With my own little expirience i think you can make it easily to the top in your area/state if you are from the core northern state, especialy if you have good education, determined and know how to play ur game.
So much, here in the UK you can easily join a political party.all you have to do is show in your local town hall, fill in applications, and you will get an interview in less than two weeks, and trust me its not that hard coming from experience.
