ignant: Mumu, you think we attended the same down-the-riverside school of inverted logic? P.S - Buhari was already in sixth form when he got admitted to the army. Please ask your parents what it took to get into the sixth form of any school back then, assuming they are old enough to know. Source: [2] Luckham, R. (1974). ignant: ^^^Arrant nonsense. All our security forces played along to a certain script - an incontrovertible fact that even my dog understands. Sambo Dasuki, David Mark and others feared for what was to come after he won the APC Presidential primaries - so it came as no surprise that incendiary rants about the "islamisation of Nigeria", "a missing certificate", "his advanced age", and more followed. But let me cure you of your ignorance on other matters. #1 It was Prof Sagay who said Buhari's diploma was the equivalent of a Master's degree, not Buhari himself. #2 If Buhari gained admission to the Mons Officers Cadet School on the basis of his qualification at the time, the issue of a missing certificate is redundant. Now even allowing for a bit of conjecture here...does the fact that all Professors in Nigeria are now required to have a doctorate degree invalidate Wole Soyinka's Professorship. You see, I have decided to entertain your logic for a microsecond - in order to demonstrate just how puerile it is. #AnyoneButAtiku |

Omeokachie: And you know this for a #FACT because... I was the principal of Fiditi Grammar School, Oyo State, at age 26 in 1956 and produced the first set of students in 1959. I ensured that the school was stabilised before I joined the West African Examinations Council. I also established a football team and the late Teslim (Thunder) Balogun came from Ibadan to train my boys. They went on to win all their matches in the western region and even defeated the University of Ibadan football team 12-0. With that level of achievements, I joined the West African Examination Council as a pioneer staff. I was the first substantive Nigerian Assistant Registrar. I took over the control of the examination from the University of Cambridge.I took examiners to Cambridge for training across 10 years and trained them in Nigeria. I had the opportunity of issuing WAEC certificates to three former Heads of State: Buhari, Abacha and Babangida in the 60s. When I was in WAEC, I was put on the council of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1966 by the national government of Aguiyi Ironsi. I was put on three important committees. The vice-chancellor and others were interested that I became a full staff of the university which I was not really keen about. But I finally accepted out of pressure. When I was serving on the council of the University of Ife, I was among the three-member committee selected by Chief Obafemi Awolowo as the first chancellor. I was on the council that installed him in 1967. Source: https://punchng.com/issued-buharis-waec-certificate-ex-registrar-86/ |

naijapips02: Another tosser. I suppose it takes a more than a single digit IQ to figure that you don't get into sixth form, without satisfying certain prerequisites, as Buhari clearly did. So Dasuki's politicised Army HQ said it only found a testimonial in his file? Wasn't it also beholden to Fayose's antics in Ekiti (read #EkitiGate) and many other acts of perfidy under Jonathan's administration? I beg commot make I see better climate. u ivandragon: Oh just shut it, you are going around in circles like a broken record player. It is you who is neither well read nor capable of rational thought. Why should Buhari dignify your silly request, when he has already represented his country at some of the highest levels possible? Now moving on swiftly, the following points are directed at those who are still capable of elevated resonning: (1) Buhari was already a sixth form student at the time he joined the Military. Note: we are talking about someone who was already enrolled for the Higher School Certificate (HSC). (2) That some reprobates have been indulging in their usual theatrics while trying to deflect attention from a record of poor performance in government, over a period of 16 years, does not negate Buhari's qualification to contest as he has been doing since 2003. (3) The former registrar of WAEC who attested to Buhari's school certificate had no need to lie, when he made his views on the subject known. Note: Alex Ajayi is a man who was already a distinguished school principal when he joined WAEC in 1960 - a point reflected in a book (published in 2010) where his relationship with Christopher Okigbo was described. (4) Katsina College has already released a certified statement of results (which it did not have to) that clearly confirms Buhari fulfilled the requirements for a school leaving certificate. Again let me repeat that he was already a sixth form student when he enrolled in the army. 1 Like |
