I want to thank a very special member of the NL forum who has been my indefatigable pillar for the past 8 years. Her Name is GiftedHandz....My Adorable Wife, My True Friend, the Mother of my 3 Lovely Children and my Strong Support thru whom the Lord has given us this New Identity!

I will not forget to appreciate my e-family - this wonderful group of life's champions (that i was introduced to by my Junior brother and former colleague Seubis) I should actually mention your names one by one but the for limitation of space and a hand held device....but you know yourselves!!!! Everyone here who has been a blessing to me and my family...Thank You!

THE JOURNEY:

This glorious journey started in October 2012, in the last week of the DV program. My HOP in the branch where I worked came to me that she has just played the Lottery for herself and family and she wants me to play also because I have been too good to her. I told her I have once played it when I newly got married but did not win dat i was not interested. She insisted that she will not leave me behind in this country! I was able to delay it till the last day which was Saturday 3rd November 2012. I knew she won't see me till Monday when the stuff must have closed. Surprisingly, THIS LADY SHOWED UP IN MY HOUSE ON THAT SATURDAY MORNING WITH HER LAPTOP AND INTERNET MODEM WITHOUT EVEN HAVING HER BATH!!! Ok, this was one sacrifice too much so I knew the game was up for me....I knew I could not say no to her with this level of sacrifice and commitment.

So we started connecting her laptop but the network on her modem was down! So I told her thatz it! There's nothing we can do! She said NO! THERE IS SOMETHING WE CAN DO!!! LETZ GO TO THE CYBER CAFE!!! Hmm... We went to the 1st cafe...2nd....then finally the 3rd where we finally applied and submitted my application like some minutes before deadline.

I kept my confirmation print out among my documents and forgot about it! I lost faith in the application because the picture we used for the initial application had shadows and because my colleague kind of forced it on me we could not take appropriate pictures. So when the result came out in May 2013, I naturally did not have any push to check especially when my colleague that played long before me and also forced me to play did not win! On September 18th 2013, I told myself why don't you just check? I tried to check but the site could not open from my office so I forgot about it again but the document remained in my suit pocket.10 days later I scanned it to my friend in UK who checked and confirmed that my wife's entry has won!!! I could not believe it!!! But lo and behold I finally checked it by myself and confirmed that my wife's entry actually won us the most coveted lottery on earth!! That was how the waiting game started until May 2014 when our 2NL came and our date was given as 7/7.

ON THE D-DAY:

We finally left the hotel at about 5.40am after some bottle necks on the road we got to the Embassy at about 6.20am. After all the security checks we finally made payment at 8.00am. The waiting game started.... The crowd at the Embassy was alarming. They started with the singles and afterwards they faced the new couples.... They were a lot denials and more denials. Only 2 COs were on duty for the immigrant cases so it was really slow. Finally we were about the last to be attended to at about 2.30pm. My children had not eaten anything except for a slice of bread each... My 1yr old ate last by 4am when we all woke up. We were only allowed to take a few packs of biscuits but the Lord Jesus held them up for us! My 1yr old did not eat anything nor cry for hunger till we left the hall about 2.30pm.

THE INTERVIEW PROPER:

After the swearing and finger printing...
CO: When did you enter Secondary School?
Wifey: xxxx
CO: What did you do after your Secondary School?
Wifey: i worked in xxxxxx
CO: for how long?
Wifey: xxxxxx
CO: What did you do after that?
Wifey: I got admission and went to school.
CO: how many yrs did you spend in school?
Wifey: xxxxx
CO: Ok Ma'am I am going to approve your family's visa....see...I have approved your visa. Please go to this address and pick up your visa in a week's time. Congratulations and welcome to America!

CONCLUSION:

We waited for about 7 hours only to be interviewed for less than 2 minutes. TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR EVER AND EVER IJN - AMEN!!!

olabowalebiyi: Ok! I'm not a good narrator but I will try and make our DV2012-2014 experience has simple n interesting as I can. 1st our name is a coinage of mine n hubby,I'm Olabowale n my hubby is Oluwabiyi hence Olabowalebiyi .
2012 we both registered for d lottery but separately because we were single then. Got married in May 2013,trying to settle into the marriage n hoping to God for that blessings n favour that comes with marriage. Then friends started advising that we should try n apply for US Visa so we could have our Child(ren) there when d time comes. That was when we remembered our lottery o.
On dis faithful evening in later May or early June sha,hubby came back from work n said we should check our DV result,na so we check hubby own 1st n he was not selected n we checked mine,and that was when our American dream began o! Halleluyah!!!

Ok! All necessary Dox were sent to KCC as couple.
And 2nd NL came n preparation n prayers began.
And 7th July came and God perfected it.
Did all d security protocol and entered d hall with our B409 number. My maiden name was called and I went to d window n d woman took my passport and changed it to my hubbys name. Na so we submit Dox o n our passport foto almost throw us off balance as we no quick see am,we sha saw it later sha.

Waiting o! That was how my NL sister Giftedhand tapped me n introduced herself n pointed Itroyal n family to me. Ok sha I don see my family member I happy.

About 11:30ish na so our number beeped @ window 18 whr d honourable dreaded Korean guy was! Hmm! And dis guy has refused a lot of couple o n he was not smiling @ all but me,i was prepared for him sha and again d guy try o cos d oda lady wey dey window 16 was so slow,so it was as if it was d Korean guy that was doing all d work.

We took d oat n did our finger print n signed our forms. Na so Mr Oyinbo asked my hubby to go 1 corner o I come pick receiver!

Then I was called and he said our Visa has bn approved! I said OK and said will like to ask him some questions,told him I would like to have my child in Nigeria before we travel and that what is d procedure to get d child's Visa,na so Oyinbo stood up to go ask o,and came back to tell Us how to go abt it and then gave us the white papers that I've always looked forward to. Na so we smile comot o,Cheering with all the friends we made there and gave a resounding Hi5 to my NL Family.
All glory to God almighty for making it possible and easy for Us. If not for God who has been on our side,this dream wouldn't have been made possible. And I'm grateful to all Naira Land peeps for dere support n contribution. God bless us all. Amen.

As you are July 17 then we have the opportunity to meet each other dat day including Alickic at the Embassy as 3 of us will be having the chat the same day.

Your Case

I want you to please ease your mind and be focus... We have had a similar case (Makeal) which with the help of the great member of the house and including Captain Obatide, God intervene to the matter and at the end We were both laughing.

Now all you need to do is PLS honor your interview by attending has you av a limited chance of rescheduling your appointment. Remember we only have 2 month left before the end of fiscal year.

As you have suggested, all you need to do is to meet the Doctor at Q-life and explain the situation of things to him, emphasize more on the Fiscal year (September 30th) so as for him to privately/Personally and Hasting your medical treatment. Its seems the abnormality is that, they are trying to know if you having Tuberculosis either its Active or Latent and here comes the reason why i will give you the VO Thread's story about anyone with TB



On the the day of your interview, you will be asked for your Medical and what you will have to tell the CO is .... Your medical is not yet ready, then if you are qualify for VISA approval, CO will be given a white paper that will indicate that after completion of your medical, u will have to take it to the Muri Okunola with your International Passport, so as for them to print your visa on it...
NOTE: your medical NOT been ready can not limit your chances of getting your Visa approved

so in lure of this... I will ask you to consider my opinion.... other members can add to this

JehovahFavor: @Adeboy, well said and i agree with you. The only addition i have is that the guy should seek a letter/note from the doctor @ Q-Life to indicate that his medical is ongoing there. He may as well go with the payment receipt issued to him @ q-life clinic. All these will give him a passage. But under no condition should he absent himself from the interview. Good luck.

good contributions I will also advise you should first go and hear them out and explain the reason why you can not stay more than 5days and if there is nothing they can do about it .
then you should ask for a latter that will indicate that ur medical report is still under processing
but I will advise that you should not go with payment receipt because that will indicate the day you went for the test and unnecessary question may come up from there . above all pray as if you will not pray again

America is a place where you will become what ever you want to become in life you can do the program here in fact is very easy.
but my advise to you is that don't depend on any body concise your program.
when you get here you can start working and be schooling at same time it all depend on you but only put your trust in God and on your self wish you best of luck

but if you have the attestation with you you don't need any affidavit again

plus some small small expense but with God
so after your successful interviw
6)green card feel $165
7)ticket it depend on flight and where you are going but let say 200k
expense when you arrive USA...don't worry I will tell you that one latter

JayQue: I did not leave home by 9am, I stay in Ikorodun and I left home before 5am and got to d embassy before 9am. I wouldn't have gotten any issue if not for the fact that I tot POS would be a means of making payment. We can't be too smart and we can't query God, He makes everything beautiful in His own time. If He chooses to plant my feet on US soil then He would make a way for me.

don't Gurge People with their present situation because no body no where they are coming from instead let us try our possible best to find solution to the issue on grand

JayQue: I have this problem which I think God will use this house to resolve. My wife won dv lottery and we were scheluded for interview on the 26th of June 10am. We got to the embassy before 9am but we only came with our atm. It was while we were there that someone told me that we have to pay in cash. That made me to rush out looking for d available atm point. Unfortunately I couldn't collect money from atm (it kept telling me user inoperative). That made me to look for my bank so I could collect from d counter. Before I could return it was after 10am. We were not allowed to enter that we have to wait till 1pm. We patiently waited before 1pm a woman came from d hall and attended to us. She wrote our names and took it inside. We were later told to write Lagosiv@state.gov. I wrote and they reponded that they can not reschedule our appointment. I took it like that, I resigned to fate but someone just told me to post it here that there is still a way out. Pls kindly attend to my case. Thank u.

Though its difficult to reschedule at this time of fiscal year but God can do that .

1) as for me all what you need is for you to go and pick up ur visa at the address given to you by the CO after five working days from the day ur visa was approve
2) as par the ticket I bought my own 220k from Nigeria to Arizona with emirate though is a connecting flight anyway and from Boston to Arizona is 5hours so ur own should be more cheaper than my own. any way I have some one DAT was introduce to me by a member of this forum and the guy is okay if you don't mind you can pm for his contact .

So after all and all, the agent said he would give me the form only if I can pay a huge sum of money(so huge) which I decline, this then scatter everything and the agent said he was going to sell ma slot, and that the person will call me after he has gotten the visa, so as to let me know the opportunity I have wasted, buh since I have d confirmation NO. And the DOB, I just filled ma forms with the correct infos and sent it to Kcc(meaning I didn't care about what was in d initial entry). Then the long wait began, den I received a notification email about ma 2nd NL....in short I no call d agent again, and he no call me......so I wouldn't know if he was planning anything.......kerekere, I got all ma docs ready......kerekere interview date reach...was already at the embassy by 5am, at around 6am, the normal process started and we were going tru security checks, so at the second stage where am to pick up my red tag and voucher for payment, have already picked it up self......sitting under the shaves there listening to sounds of the waters, a lady just came, who is xxxxxx I signaled and she asked me to come out( for ma mind--->so dem no go even allow me see eyinbo b4 dem send me away?) I followed her, she den told her colleagues that I and 1 guy like that bear the same name,surname, and even our appointment letters are the same #flashback: recall where I said that the agent said he was going to sell my slot to sum1 else?, yeah right! He actually sold it....1 thing that makes the whole tin strange was that the oda guy was like my carbon copy have never seen sum1 that looked so much like me like that b4.......we were asked to return to our sits and the normal process continued...I kept on praying that God should let his will be done......now in the hall, did all payments and submissions....den immigrant interview begins....almost all d immigrants had bn interviewed, I was still on ma sit....I witnessed silent denials, lousy denials, fainting denials, crying denials....smiling approvals, grinning approvals, hugging type, just name it.....then I was called to window 8, it was a room, where I met this my God sent friend( a cute white male) and anoda Good looking black male....they said they just wanted to confirm sumfins and that its no biggie. I told them everything I knew about the agent, how he contacted me about wining and the amount he asked me to pay? I also told dem about the mistakes in my initial entry,as I was talking, they were both writing and it was like the eyinbo was looking into ma soul, so with that I told em the things dey didn't even ask, also about the oda ME, and they said I should go and sit down, that I shouldn't do as if I noticed him, that I should nt talk to him, after some minutes he was called into the room too.....and then I was called to window 18....this white woman have bn starring at all day....she's just so cute,

Paddie: a vehicle is waiting for u outside....bla bla, I didn't even listen again, all I was tinking about was how am going to tell ma NL family that it was a vehicle that carried me home after ma interview o.
Did I mention that as I was called to room 8 for the last time, all the COs were just giving me this pretty smile. So I got outside and it was this ma paddie again, a honda accord 2003 model was ma ride, couple of handshakes and as they opened the door, I saw the oda ME in hand curfs, I felt so bad for him that his tears almost made me cry for him, it was so sad, paddie wetin happen, he said I should do dem a favour and give them my statement, it turns out that the handshakes were from those who liked it has d second me was caught, and ma so called ride belongs to an oga olopa....we were at the station, gave dem d statement, buh I was so sad for the guy.......I don't know if you are thinking that this testimony is not normal! It can only be God o!

I got there around 4:50am and met 5 cars packed outside cos dey open their gate by 5am.

We drove in at 5am and waiting in d us consulate premises. At about 6:30am dey started security checks and we sha went inside d hall. They wasted our time cuz all d interview consulars were having a meeting. And dey started interviewing us around past 10 or so. In a nutshell, my num B402 appeared on window.... lagbabe: for the affidavit,all u need is get to the nearest high court with 1 passport photograph,a typed format for declaration of age and 500naira or 1 passport photograph nd 1k(they'd type the format for you).for NPC,2 passport,d affidavit nd a typed letter containing ur bio-data nd ur parents bio-data nd 3k if in Lagos nd it'd be ready in 2 WEEKS.u can read old posts for the format on the letter for npc.hope this helps

candytos: I see your predicament, I am advising you to use the correct age, which is what you have sent in the forms, do not change it as that is what is on her certificates and passports and birth certificate I believe. Tell your sister to tell the CO the truth at the interview if the CO raise an issue on it, tell him that an agent applied for her and made the mistake of putting wrong DOB and place of birth, They understand and know agents help people to apply and mistakes are made and they do not make issues on it so long u tell the truth. Believe me we give this people too much credit they will not note or see this difference in DOB or place of birth not to talk of raising issues about it. Tell ur sis that the visa is hers IJN amen. u will surely testify on her behalf IJN amen.

G2Glory: Let me start by congratulating you. Pls note that you do not need to worry yourself about the primary school leaving certifcate (u don't need that any longer) since you have National Diploma & WAEC/NECO result, it superseed the primary leaving certificate.

The mistake in your DOB as shown on your WAEC result can be corrected (-there were similar cases before 2013 thread) but not too worry, since information on your international passport is the same that you used on DV lotterry - you are good to go.

Just a question, the mistake you mentioned, was it only on WAEC or both NECO(2006) & WAEC (2005)? I will the error was just on your WAEC & d information is correct on NECO, better stick with your NECO result.

Have you sent your form to KCC, don't waste time doing that please
