It seems the angle the OP is driving at is in staying married even at the cost of honesty and integrity.

This line of thinking favours the so called "reformed woman" of recent times. A woman who in her youth lived a life of careless sexual abandon, indulging to the fullest her party years with as many partners as she could attract. This type of behaviour is usually carried out at the peak of the woman's desirability in the attraction marketplace, in her late teens or early 20s.

It is when the fact of the very transient nature of female desirability dawns on her that she usually has her epiphany. She realises that she cannot continue to attract men forever, that her party years must come to an end. So in order to secure her long term interests she has to find a well established mugu man to settle down with in marriage. Obviously her adventurous history will scare away any self respecting man so she has no other option but to repent. So she "repents". All past deeds are blotted away. Her number count, should inquiries be made about it in the future, is reviewed to a lower figure, that is if at all she ever discloses it. Her "old" self is dead and she is now a picture of integrity, the perfect wife.

This is how her future husband meets her. He enters into what is supposed to be a union based on understanding and trust with her. He is sold on the image of the new woman and they begin their journey into matrimony... only thing is life has a way of bringing these things back to the surface...

Where people meet isn't or shouldn't be an issue, I say this in spite of the fact that I despise dating sites but thats talk for another day. It is where the relationship takes places the most that should be of concern. Any romantic relationship that continues online or outside of physical space is a joke or a mistake waiting to happen.

Men must hold their women to the highest standards if they choose to marry or they should hold aloof. Marriage is not for everyone.

That's the way to go. Not all women are fit for marriage. Marry a virgin or a girl with a low number count. Women with a large number (i.e n>4) are a risk for long term/monogamous relationships.

I'm actually a fan of LF, his influence would only be disastrous to those whose interests do not align with his. If he does indeed start advising king Tommen I'm sure he'll do so to consolidate whatever plans he has made in securing his position and power. LF is of lowly birth, has no famous family name or title so this is his chance to make a dent in the history of Westeros.

Sansa's case was different (it wasn't rape!) but I have to say you don't know what you are talking about; marital rape is criminalised in about 105 countries today, go to places like the US and force yourself on your wife and see if you won't be cooling your heels in prisons like Sing Sing.

And yes men can and do get raped by women. Was it not early this month that the story broke that a man was raped by 3 women in South Africa? A few years ago a business man was raped to death in Benue state by 5 of his wives. These things happen.

On the face of it this all looks ridiculous but the lawyer does make some good points. As usual with Nairalanders and many Nigerians they didn't bother to read whether the case has merit or not yet they rushed to make comments. Typical.

What happened was unkind, wicked and heartless but it wasn't rape. By consenting to marrying Ramsey she was already setting herself up for this. It is expected that newly weds consummate their union after the wedding - the bedding was an established custom, besides Sansa didn't raise any objections herself. As sickening as the whole incident was I don't think any court would convict Ramsay of rape here.

He still needs to be shot though, that succulent body is what he wanted to destroy.

You know what I think? I think Sansa needed this. I personally see this as a final proof to her that no one - not Littlefinger, not Brienne, not her father's bannemen, and definitely not her half-brother at the Wall - no one will fight for her. If she really wants to keep the Stark line alive, then she has to fight and kill by herself - the Stark way.

By the way, who else still remembers that simpering air-headed girl from Season 1 who wanted to marry the prince because he was handsome and brave like a lion? Think of this is as her final metamorphosis.... _{into Lady Stoneheart.}

Honestly I think they have made Sansa suffer too much. I am going to find it hard that she will function as a normal person again - not to mention a cold and heartless individual. She would be nearing if not already suffering mental breakdown by now. Her carrying on with any other plans of revenge or whatever would be requiring us to suspend belief a little too much. Haba.

See how Theon is a shell of his former self just because of the torment he recieved under Ramsay and what he suffered, as bad as it is, cannot be matched by what Sansa has suffered in total.

Joffery wouldn't have done any better, that one was a coward too, he never proved himself with his wit or intelligence. All he did was prey on those he imagined were weak.

I rewatched that Cersei and Little Finger discussion last night. LF is the master of glibness! The way he laid out his plan before Cersei was just brilliant (in an evil kind of way), the luring yet confident tone of his voice, the way he pronounced each word, his cool and collected carriage. And amidst it all he still showed his wit. That was a real display of high value, the guy has perfected the art of deception. I know that's how he usually is but I was especially struck by his performance this time.

Like I said earlier Sansa is messed up for life. How can she recover from all the misfortunes that have befallen her, her family as far as she knows, all murdered. The trauma she suffered under Joffery; What is left of her family home occupied by strangers; and now being taken on her wedding night in front of the man (Theon) who betrayed her family. This is all to much. The average woman would be on the verge of suicide by now after all this.

Whatever revenge Sansa exacts in the future will never be satisfactory. Let's all watch and see.

Ramsay is really giving Joffery a run for his money. Bàstard must be stopped. Thing is when the producers nemesis comes calling for Ramsay it will be mild and unsatisfactory for everyone. He needs to be skinned alive slowly then dipped in hot oil.... Shiii I'm now being drawn into thinking unhealthy psychopathic thoughts. *Gotta deep breath and bleed out the stress*

Still have to ask, what type of revenge will be fitting for Sansa now? She is totally messed up, that body and mind has been defiled beyond redemption.

Anyway back to the main matter at hand, the North is finished and the Starks are doomed. I can hardly imagine a situation where they would be restored to glory in a satisfying manner. They've suffered way too much. Sansa, poor Sansa.

Meanwhile Little Finger is hatching his plot in Kings Landing. Hmmm

A woman will always love her child more than her husband it's how they are wired. I wouldn't call this an injustice; the primary consideration given to her child increases its chances of survival. The child needs this consideration and attention more than the husband so this can be described as a survival mechanism for the species.
