No I haven't seen the video of The Hills. I left that track on repeat till I slept off last night and now I'm hooked.

I've been a Weeknd fan since I first heard him back in 2012. After hearing Wicked Games I had to find out who this singer was. Since then I have downloaded all his works from mixtapes to album and singles. He is just too good yet he hasn't really gone mainstream. Everytime I mention him to people they appear ignorant of his works.

His voice and style of singing is exceptional, very mesmerising. Reminds me of Micheal Jackson in way even though his lyrics and themes are usually just about drugs and sêx. Lol. I mean it's always about how he is about to sleep with some model chick or how him and the chick are doing drugs at some party. The guy na ashewo but his talent is unmistakeable.

Even in any context a bad leader will demonstrate bad leadership skills and make bad decisions because leadership in marriage or a family or at the workplace rely on the same leadership skills. I will repeat the point I have been trying to make again: In a marriage between a man and a woman the man is best suited to assume the leadership/dominant role. [In making this statement I am in no way implying that women are incapable of assuming any kind of leadership position, far from it, this assertion of male dominance is pertinent within the dynamics of inter-gender relations which in this case is marriage!]

Since men and women are equals and both can exhibit leadership skills, why place barriers against women. Maybe you need to admit you do not understand the vibrancy of womenfolk and instead try fixing her in a predetermined box.

You are still operating under a faulty premise. Men and women are not equal. They are complimentary. Just as the heart is not equal to the lungs and the eyes are not equal to the ears so are men not equal to women. By their very natures their existential experiences and functions are markedly different and yet complimentary as a whole.

As a man I am of the conviction that womanhood, true womanhood and not the caricatures that it is forced to assume today, is of the uttermost importance to humanity. A vitalising and ennobling influence as can be found nowhere else lies with the woman. I have no intentions of belittling her or stifling her potentials, I am only calling out a misconception that is the root of much that has gone wrong with our world today.

I think that in relationships or unions such as marriage the dominant party should be the man. I say this because his gender, the masculine gender, is best equipped to assume the leadership role. A whole host, if not all, of masculine traits easily lend themselves to leadership.

I am however aware that in many cases, as is also encouraged by modern day liberal ideologies, the woman assumes the dominant role. This is unnatural and I think the campaigns encouraging this are misguided. In playing the dominant role a woman is acting out of step with the traits that she is blessed with by nature.

It is important to note that because the genders are inherently different the question of dominance is best viewed from the perspective of the unique traits that are assigned to the specific genders. This is not a matter of rights and liberties as one may wrongly assume.

If it's not the man, it's most likely the woman, even if it's by stealth manipulation. Even in same-sex pairings, there is typically a parody of normal male-female pairings, with one taking the lead/being dominant.

That in a nutshell is why Western marriages crash so frequently. The more like a man the woman is, the more frustrated they both get. Subsuming biology to progressive ideology and PC notions. It's why we strive here . Most of the women now can't engage in a debate without predicating their position on the notion of "equal rights"

From the coarsening of the female gender to the effeminisation (sp?) of the male gender - all in the bid to "level the playing ground" and bring about equality, the damage is deep.

I think that it is pertinent that proponents of feminist and equalist movements in Nigeria observe the effects of the cause they champion in places where these ideologies have a stronghold. They will see that picture is anything but pretty.

Cary Joji Fukunaga directed all the episodes (8 in all) of the first season of the critically acclaimed HBO miniseries, True Detective. There are several other examples whereby one director oversee the shooting of all the episodes in a complete season of a TV series: Big Love, United States Of Tara, Web Therapy, etc are but to name a few.

Oh that's cool, I assumed it was the norm the these days to have multiple directors for each show. Haven't seen any of the shows you mentioned though, perhaps will queue them up for later.

^I think it's customary these days for a series to have different directors. Noticed that with all the shows I've watched, from House of Cards to Ray Donovan to The Newsroom. I don't think you will find any series with just one director, well maybe apart from animations.

You need to come to terms with the fact that the TV show is what it is, it is not an improvement or ridicule of the book story. They are two different elements to be enjoyed separately.

There I was expecting to see the wildlings marching quietly in twos through the wall with Jon supervising from a corner as described in the books only for my eyes to confront what turned out to be The Escape From Wildlings Country. Interesting stuff I say.

Episode 08 is certainly the most action packed
episode of the current season yet. At one point I thought I was watching WWZ 2, in a good way though. Jon's fight with the white walker commander was something, heck the entire battle scene with the walkers pressing at gates was well done.

I hope the crows and the wildlings have enough dragon glass, they certainly will be needing it in the near future.

Ayra's training in the House of B&W is coming along nicely. Seems like she is shaping up to be a Robin Hood type assassin for now.

Theon finally finds his tongue and tells Sansa that her younger brothers are still alive. It was refreshing, at least for me, that she has found some modicum of hope... Now how to plan her emacipation from Ramsay.

Can't help but think that Ramsay's request for 20 good man to take on Stannis at his camp will be his undoing. Let's see how that all goes.

This was quite an enjoyable episode, looking forward to the remaining two.

Ray Donovan is pretty cool if you ask me. It's not pretentious and it's story is very believable. It's serious when it wants to be yet it can incorporate elements of real comedy occasionally. I like it.

I think Ray himself is very much an alpha, the kind of man that does what he wants to do. His wife is too ugly for him though. Mickey is the impulsive carefree type, nothing is important to him except enjoying the moment.
