ewebiodun: Pls I have been banned since 2011 on ground of submitting false docs. This was done by the agent I contracted after paying huge amount.
My wife has been leaving in UK permanently for 10years with our daughter born last December. Pls can anything be done as regards seeking a reversal of the van. Pls I am open to advice. Thanks and God bless Hi. Sorry about your ban. These agents eh! But, not to sound harsh, a ban is a ban. However, there’s nothing beyond God, now that a child is involved, maybe they can grant you the visa. If you have the funds to try your luck, you can. If you don’t, I will advice you to wait a few more years (it’s not easy though). There is a kind member here that got his visa granted even went he was a bit short of his maintenance funds, the case officer was kind for the child’s sake. So there’s nothing beyond God. The experts will shed more light on this, to be best of my knowledge, ban means ban, maybe someone else will have better news. Take it easy. |

1) wish I could answer this for you, had a similar problem, put a wrong occupation for hubby 2) I don’t think they care about overdrafts, they just want to know that he earns the minimum amount of 18600. His earning more than this can make up for his overdraft. 3) Property inspection or a letter from the landlord. Someone more learned than I am will answer this better. 4) it shouldn’t be much of a worry. Just put what you have then explain, in a letter to them, the missing convos due to phone loss (didn’t you guys chat online? Like FB). As for me, I munched 3 to 4 per month of my convo with my Oga and showed them our daily whatsapp calls for the past year since I returned to Nigeria then sent all our marriage, family and kissy kissy photos to them. They go flinch tire 5) No it absolutely doesn’t matter who screenshots and sends the chats and all. I did mine because I have all the resources to do my and I’m more IT savvy than he is (I put mine 6 shots per page and printed front and back, they aren’t reading the chats per say, they just care to know that you chat a lot!). 6) yes you can do this if you want. And explain your highlights in an applicant or sponsor letter. The experts will give you better answers. |

teejay231: Utility bills are not required for a spouse visa application. You only need utility bills for the second (FLR) and third (ILR) stage as proof of cohabitation Thank you so much. Sorry for responding twice to you, I didn’t know you had previously answered me. Thanks |

teejay231: Some of documents you have included are not relevant.
About us - you only need copies of your old passport, English test, application form, children's birth certificates,
Relationship documents- you need to include evidence of communication such as text messages or WhatsApp or Facebook
Maintenance documents- home office doesn't care about bank balance as long as you earn the required minimum and your bank statement and pay slips match the stated income. Documents must also not be older than 28 days.
Accommodation documents- if your husband lives in a rented apartment he needs to get a property inspection report which will state that there is enough space for you and your kids. A letter from the landlord is also okay. Utility bills are irrelevant , only required for FLR and ILR stages. Utility bills are irrelevant? What of monthly council tax letters that state what is owed, is this also relevant? I am so happy about this! I will really expect your answer. |

Lexusgs430: What does he have at that address? Letter from HMRC? Bank statements? Council Tax bill? Landline bill? Sorry we don’t know what HMRC is but he has his bank statements. He gets a letter from the council showing what tax he owes every month and no he doesn’t have own a landline (that’s quite posh to own in this day and age ). Is his council tax enough? I was thinking his housemate can write to them telling them that my hubby tranksfers his own share of the bills money to his account then the money leaves his account. I asked him to find out if he can print a statement of one of the bills’ account to show that his room mate actually pays them but if bills aren’t too much of a necessity, we can skip all this wahala |

Someone please help me out with this. My spouse says he doesn’t pay bills. He just sends the money to his housemate’s account and the bills leave his housemate’s account. But we can’t ask the housemate for his statement of account, that’s very intrusive. Is it mandatory for him to show the bills payments? I don’t know what to do. |

bestbian: Thank you so much dear, I have NI number already as I have previously done masters some years back in UK.
Already arranging for a live in care job to pay me 450 pounds weekly.
The company said they will only put 20 hours on my pay slip. But I will be paid 450 pounds weekly. As a PhD student, I don't have to go to school always so can arrange with my supervisor.
I just want to help my family to come in quickly, it's not easy staying here alone when you already have a family especially a kid involved.
Thank you for your encouragement, I really appreciate. God bless. Sharp woman!! I didn’t know you can use the former NI number given to you. I won’t be going back as a student, do I apply for a new NI or use my old NI no? Don’t worry everything will work out. With that salary, the family will move with you in no time. Congrats on your scholarship. Make us proud o. |

GodandVal: My people..I thought I should update you on my situation from my previous posts, seeing as a few of us have made the same mistake of selecting Settlement - Marriage category instead of Settlement - Wife / Husband.
I received an email from the Sheffield office today with the IHS link asking me to make the IHS payment by 29th November, which I have now done. My hubby was dancing when I told him about this. He seems to think my application is going to be approved now.
I’m really hoping that by making the IHS payment, even after this error, my application gets approved..and soon. Fingers crossed! So happy for you that it all got sorted out. That’s very good. Wish you well ok. Everything will work out to the Glory of God |

bestbian: Okay dear, yes I am responsible for my maintenance, it's just a 4 year PhD tuition fee covered. My brother the truth is that I don't have that maintenance again as we borrowed the money to use for visa processing and we have returned the money.
My husband and baby actually applied after I got my visa but they were denied visa. The reason given was that no enough evidence of relationship, even though we put our marriage certificate and baby birth certificate.
We have put in for administrative review for them but I am also preparing my self incase it doesn't come out positive.
So now we will have to borrow a huge sum to show for the 3 of us again if they have to reapply. Nah wah oh!!!
Thanks all the same, at least now I am aware of what's before me. Thanks dear and God bless. Can I advise you to relax, get your NI and a care job and start working. After 2-3 months, you will have that amount of money to bring them in. These applications are expensive, it’s best to make sure there are no loopholes. |

Still waiting for 2 for my daughter's but I believe it will be issued also. Though I had submitted my application b4 I got this thread, I was able to use lots of advices. Like 3 weeks or so ago, I had to tell hubby to get his co tenant to write a letter that he's aware of our relocation and is ok with it and that the accommodation will not be overcrowded.

readynow: Good morning good people please I work as an IT Manager in my company. Should I include letter from my employer and my bank statement. I am the applicant here in Nigeria and my wife is the sponsor.my employer here is willing to assist with employment letter that I work with them but if it is not necessary I will forget it ,just your opinion. I had already fill the online form that I work I don’t think it’s necessary. You can include it if you want but the case officers only care about your partners employment letter and her banks statement... unless you have some money in your statement that can supplement her savings to reach the required financial capability. |

phatbaby1: Just here to update, I was advised by the house that TLS wouldn't take documents but to my dismay they only took my husbands passport and scanned the front of his application form. No IHS, No TB, No VAF form, they said he's got to post every single document to Sheffield.
Is this what every one else has experienced please? I don't know if I'm over reacting but if we've spent £1500, the least they can do is scan the applicants docs while I post mine here in the UK. The most revolting part is TLS then sent a feedback request email. I mean is this a practical joke?
21 Nov - Passport taken, biometrics done Well I think it’s safer to get the documents mailed to you in the UK then you mail everything to Sheffield yourself. It is better to guarantee that the documents have gotten to them than have them scan the documents and then some important pages would now be missing. I know the price is outrageous but my dear, little price to pay to be with your partner. Please did they keep his passport or tell him to mail it too? So all they wanted was just to scan the data page of the passport, no other document at all? Not even for sighting? I just want to know whether to just walk in with my passport or carry all my docs along for my biometrics. Thanks |

deebaby05: Am not an expert and still awaiting our decision but I 'll try to answer as best as I can. Since your sponsor met the financial requirement, then you don't need to fill the other sections, just leave it blank but submit ALL the pages as they are already numbered.
The photo they r talking about is uk specification passport photograph.
As for your sponsors passport, I think a photocopy is ok and If he has travel stamps, you can pphotocopy those too and include to show that he travelled to see you though I believe they can get those informations from their systemsystem.m.
No need for his birth certificate.they don't need that for anything.
House, any correction to the above is welcomed. I can’t thank you enough |

Do I have to include the other pages or do I just stop at page 6 and include the last page, page 13 (additional information). I don’t need to fill from page 7-13. Or should I cancel the pages? Can someone please answer the above question? Thank you. Also the requirements say that I should include “a printed copy of my application and photo”.. please what’s this photo? My data page? Finally does my sponsor have to include his passport or just a copy of his data page? Does he have to include his birth certificate or just a copy of his birth certificate? Thank you |

teejay231: As long as the information on your application is valid as at the time of completion, you don't have to worry. From my experience, travel history has no influence on spouse visas as applications are decided based on proof of finance, accommodation, relationship and English language as stipulated by law. My form was completed by my lawyer and he made mistakes with some of my travel dates. Just explain in your cover letter and you will be fine. God bless you immensely.. lol, He already has. |

I have come again with my wahala o. you people should please bear with me. I have saved my application (can’t edit it now), and I have paid my IHS, but something came up and I need my passport to travel. Now my problem is the fact that I cannot change the information on my application (Travel History). And if I start a new application I might be asked to pay my IHS again. So can I submit my passport with a visa stamp that isn’t declared in my application. Would this be bad? Or can I redo an application without needing to re-pay my IHS? I don’t know what to do. It looks like my alternative is to not travel, but it’s for work. |

knwuna: Hello house..please i still need your advice on this matter:
My wife is kind of suggesting that she will acquire a loan from her bank to sponsor my masters program in Uk to enable stay closer to her during this period..Do you think its a good idea to do such please i need your opinion . Note: She works full time,..she lives in a rented apartment..she is pregnant and she earns £17,800 per year which is less than £18,600 per year that is required. and she meets all other requirement.. We are just looking for a way out because she's alone The only problem with this plan is the fact that most UK schools don’t take international master’s students till September next year. So if she won’t be able to nurse the child and take more shifts to make her annual salary 18,600, then this might be a good plan. On the upside, it’s easier and less expensive to apply from the UK. So it might be a good plan. |
