Not for their government, Hamas, their policy makers/enforcers or any invested third party that has something to gain from this decades long standoff?

Just the everyday people who are living through it without any choice. Not being the ones who asked for it?

Just wondering.

Hey! Good to read you again. 😁
Politics / Re: Japa: Canada Or London Which One Is Best For A DJ, Entertainer? by apolonius(m): 9:38pm On Nov 21, 2023
Canada is better. I live here around the GTA and crawl well. Plenty parties-birthdays, wedding anniversaries among others.

A number of lounges, clubs & restaurants are popping up daily in Toronto, Vaughan, Etobicoke among others- Festac Lounge is a good place to start and they will love you if you are good. The rebranded ATL-Naira Lounge- is great too. La Shish is good too.

I can make introductions if you ever make it here.

I lived and studied in London and a few places in England for 14 years. Yes, South-East, East and North-West London has many Nigerians and places. It’s all largely poverty HQ. Canada has changed many professional lives and given many modest wealth in 2-3 years in ways that the UK can’t give in 20-30 years.

Just ensure that you have secured and permanent immigration. Reach out for ideas if you want.

For Nigerians who like to criticize Canada, tell them they know nothing. Great opportunities for financial security and professional prosperity abound. Ignore the noise of students and people with no permanent immigration.

Please this is an important thread. We need to continue discussing. The most important thing about traveling abroad is going prepared with de right certificates or skills needed in those countries. I studied Biochemistry and of course is useless here. Am thinking of getting into tech or is the biochemistry OK to land me a job job in Canada? Can I rely on it?

Send me a message.

Brilliant analysis except that Tinubu will get more than 4m more, Obi will get FAR LESS than the states and the votes you give him. Obi will win 3-5 states and do less than 3-4m votes.

That's exactly my thought on this projection, it look like social media gist.

35% for LP in Lagos is not possible, that's just the truth.

35% in Lagos is like the entire population of Anambra and Enugu state, when the population of Igbo in Lagos is not more than 10%.

We shall see the LG that would deliver 35% vote for LP when Jimi Agbaje the son of the soil could not pull such figure in Lagos when he contested

Labour won’t get up to 11% in Lagos, and won’t get more than 5% in any other SW state.

I don’t know where these guys get the data or patterns for their wild speculations from.

Many young people don’t understand our politics unfortunately. And they are too arrogant to learn the basics.

Family / Re: Can Child Support Amount Be Included In Prenup For Future Sake by apolonius(m): 2:43pm On Jan 17, 2023
Nyascobar1414:
No, Op such doesn't exist in the west;if in any case of divorce, when your source of Income is being looked at, about 50% or 70% of what you earned will be given to your wife and kid/s as spousal support... Even though she signs the prenup.. During divorce or court cases to secure for spousal support, she can say she was mentally ill when she signed for the prenup; trust me if you guys are in the west, the whole game will be tossed against you as a man..

I'll advice you to keep her here in Nigeria, send her monthly Income for the kids,(and also go for DNA test before you start taking responsibility of your child/ren...

Though(as per body no be firewood) she might be fvking other guys, but I think that is better than loosing your properties and money in the name of marriage...

Your money and properties are the only things that can be loyal to you as a man.. If you need loyalty from a living thing, Get a dog.

The west is all about women and children..

MGTOW!

This is NOT true. I practice family law in the West.
Canada and other countries have child support calculation guidelines that are founded on the gross income of the paying parent and the number of children they have.

Child support is an automatic obligation paid to WHOEVER has custody or primary residence of the child (ren). This is not always the mother. Spousal support is NOT automatic. But normally a spouse (NOT only wife) who is not working and who is financially dependent on the working and more financially secured spouse MAY be entitled to some spousal support. Length of marriage and other factors will be relevant considerations.

There is something called equalization of the assets… This is another thing that may come up.

Suffices to say that divorce does NOT favour women automatically as many assume.

Child support calculations will depend on CURRENT income. A prenup can’t capture that.
Romance / Re: Nigerian Men And Women Are Sexually Frustrated And Lonely In America And Canada by apolonius(m): 5:36pm On Jan 08, 2023
Ednut03:
Yeah. There are Nigerian Men in America who has not had a decent chance at sex for years. The only chance at sex they get is when they visit Naija once in a while. You ain't even getting a white chick to talk to you or give you her number if you ain't ridiculously good looking, dress well and speak really high.

Same apply to a woman and it's even worse. Men are thirsty, unlike Women, and she might get sexed and few attentions until the sex lasts. But she's not going to get any commitment if she doesn't match the beauty standard. So, she will be lonely too. Nigerian Men are still better positioned than her. And her woes even worsen if she's above 30. They rarely get white men. No they don't, because Nigerian women also fall short of the look And beauty standard

And if you're in dating app as an average black man (you're bleeped if you're ugly), you'll, 90% of the time be swept left over.

Hence, many Nigerian guys are frustrated and won't talk about it

Don't believe the stupid lies we peddle on here about white woman loving black for our dick game. It's a lie. If you ain't 100% attractive to her, your dick game doesn't matter. You need to be tall too, because their men are really tall. You can't be 5"9 and be expecting any reasonable result scoring a white chic, it ain't happening

Lies, lies and lies. I live and roll with ballers. The wives are crying and reporting to pastors.

ATL was a place for free ‘ps’…Toop Lounge too. EST 2020, La Shish and Festac Lounge too…All in the GTA.

We have many women to ‘create moments’ with, it’s the time and the wives that limit us.

If you are lonely and desperate, get on Seeking Arrangements…You will be overwhelmed.

Like all things women, budget $100-200 per experience.

Politics / Re: Can Tinubu And Atiku Get 25% Of The Votes In Rivers State? by apolonius(m): 3:36pm On Jan 05, 2023

That obi will win rivers is a fait acconpli but by how many votes is the issue of contest.wike is clearly fighting pro atiku groups and voters in rivers.the 200k polling unit aides is meant to prevent people from voting atiku.most of atiku's supporters or henchmen in rivers are unfortunately from ikwerre where wike hold sway.the rivers campaign dg maeba is from ogoni where magnus controls.the sekibos are from okrika where patience,Evans bipi and ateke tom are pro wike.secondus is from andoni LGA and tele ikuru is ready to deal with him.based on the above,I dont see how atiku will get 25% or exceed 100k votes.less I forget, hon dagogo is also supporting atiku but is hiding.

For tinubu asari dokubo is fully supporting him and he controls half of kalabari.ex apc chair flag amachree controls the other half of kalabari plus the apc candidate tonye cole is from here.magnus Abe the sdp candidate dominates ogoni which gives bloc votes and is in alliance with tinubu.the minister of state environment hon odum UDI controls abolga and will deliver here.the chairman of uniport gov council sen uchendu will try to deliver emohua as chidi Lloyd will be neutral.hon wihioka will try to deliver ikwerre LGA as the chair nwanosike will be neutral.hon Ephraim nwuzi will bring votes from etche land while hon promise dike will try to deliver oyigbo..

Australia says HIIIII ..
even folks in UK and Germany makes more money than those in Canada !!!

This is the kind of nonsense that make people share little or nothing with those who need credible guidance here.

How many Nigerians have permanent residence or German citizenship? What jobs do they have for Nigerians in Germany? Factory jobs

Most of them have been running to the UK to do security jobs or work as teachers and nurses earning 28-32k pounds.

I lived, studied and worked in the UK for (edited for privacy) years. Held research positions in Germany and Hungary. (Edited for privacy)

I have friends in Australia fighting to come here.

I do and have friends who earn 7-10k monthly after tax from single jobs as lawyers, BAs, academia, AML/Compliance Analysts/Managers and in IT too. Do you or your friends in Australia make that?

I came and lived in a community with other Nigerian PRs. 15 of us bought our homes in the Greater Toronto Area within 2-3 years of landing in Canada.

In the UK, I was living in a small room in a shared flat with my wife and son after first and advanced degrees from its best unis and 11 years. So, shut up if you don’t have the comparative insights to guide others. (Edited for privacy/security)

Ignorance is bad. Adding arrogance to it is stupidity.

The only reason I comment on posts OCCASIONALLY is to help people who genuinely want to come to Canada. Silly heads like you makes it worthless to do so.

I am too busy to argue with morons who assume that anyone who comments here is their mate or a lowlife like them.

Canadian hopefuls

It's a nice country....

Tax over there is high...

Not that bad. Of course, provincial taxes are lower in Alberta et al than Ontario.

The taxes give you much more in return. Children and family benefits here are higher than anywhere else. The FG just started giving $600 to parents for children’s dental costs.

Outside the US, you will make more money in Canada as an immigrant than any other Western country. Also, it is easier to settle in culturally and immigration-wise than most.

Nasarawa has never been the stronghold of APC at the presidential level. Buhari only managed to edge out atiku last time and it was the only time he won the state.

Because the current APC Chair was the PDP strongman controlling the state politics for many years-1999 until the Akwe Doma years. For the first time, the 3 living governors of the state are on one side. David Ombuagu can’t do much to help Atiku.

lol. Your analysis is a joke!

1.2m in Nigeria would avail you a better life than $2708 would avail you in the UK.

You even reached the monthly value without considering taxation, lmao!!!

Some of us make $5-12k/per month after tax. Salaries are paid bi-weekly. Entry level jobs in Canada pay $55-75k on the average. Many pay more though.

Some make $15-24k monthly doing 2-4 jobs. That is the extreme.

The poor in Nigeria never fail to amuse me. They are ignorantly talking and drawing conclusions about Canada without any knowledge.

More importantly, they do not understand a basic truth: that 80% of Nigerian elites since 1960 have been citizens of the same countries they are criticizing.

For example, just few, Tinubu, Atiku, the Sarakis, Sule, the current governor of Nassarawa, Abiodun, Makinde, Femi-Hamzat Gbaja, Omo-Agege and even Peter Obi are dual citizens. Osibanjo is a UK permanent resident…Same for the leading businessmen and pastors…Adenuga, Oyakhilome, Adefarasin.

It started with Azikiwe who lived in the US for 9 years and Ekwueme, who had 9 degrees and worked in the US and the UK.

In Canada, the average Nigerian professional earns $5-11k monthly, salary is paid every 2 weeks. Education and healthcare are free. Yes, mortgage costs are high. But your equity can make you 200m in 2-3 years if you decide to sell your home today.

Guys, learn and help your ignorance before you preach.
