Politics / Re: Japa: Canada Or London Which One Is Best For A DJ, Entertainer? by apolonius(m): 9:38pm On Nov 21, 2023 |
Canada is better. I live here around the GTA and crawl well. Plenty parties-birthdays, wedding anniversaries among others. A number of lounges, clubs & restaurants are popping up daily in Toronto, Vaughan, Etobicoke among others- Festac Lounge is a good place to start and they will love you if you are good. The rebranded ATL-Naira Lounge- is great too. La Shish is good too. I can make introductions if you ever make it here. I lived and studied in London and a few places in England for 14 years. Yes, South-East, East and North-West London has many Nigerians and places. It’s all largely poverty HQ. Canada has changed many professional lives and given many modest wealth in 2-3 years in ways that the UK can’t give in 20-30 years. Just ensure that you have secured and permanent immigration. Reach out for ideas if you want. For Nigerians who like to criticize Canada, tell them they know nothing. Great opportunities for financial security and professional prosperity abound. Ignore the noise of students and people with no permanent immigration. |

Politics / Re: Jarus' Forecast Of 2023 Presidential Election by apolonius(m): 6:33am On Feb 13, 2023 |
Brilliant analysis except that Tinubu will get more than 4m more, Obi will get FAR LESS than the states and the votes you give him. Obi will win 3-5 states and do less than 3-4m votes. |
Politics / Re: How The South West Will Vote (final Analysis) by apolonius(m): 4:32pm On Feb 04, 2023 |
Ttalk: Labour won’t get up to 11% in Lagos, and won’t get more than 5% in any other SW state. I don’t know where these guys get the data or patterns for their wild speculations from. Many young people don’t understand our politics unfortunately. And they are too arrogant to learn the basics. |

garfield1: Way off! How do you allocate votes to non-existing parties in Tinubu’s heartland? I think you lean too much on social media pulses for most of your analyses. You can do better! |
Family / Re: Can Child Support Amount Be Included In Prenup For Future Sake by apolonius(m): 2:43pm On Jan 17, 2023 |
Nyascobar1414: This is NOT true. I practice family law in the West. Canada and other countries have child support calculation guidelines that are founded on the gross income of the paying parent and the number of children they have. Child support is an automatic obligation paid to WHOEVER has custody or primary residence of the child (ren). This is not always the mother. Spousal support is NOT automatic. But normally a spouse (NOT only wife) who is not working and who is financially dependent on the working and more financially secured spouse MAY be entitled to some spousal support. Length of marriage and other factors will be relevant considerations. There is something called equalization of the assets… This is another thing that may come up. Suffices to say that divorce does NOT favour women automatically as many assume. Child support calculations will depend on CURRENT income. A prenup can’t capture that. |
Romance / Re: Nigerian Men And Women Are Sexually Frustrated And Lonely In America And Canada by apolonius(m): 5:36pm On Jan 08, 2023 |
Ednut03: Lies, lies and lies. I live and roll with ballers. The wives are crying and reporting to pastors. ATL was a place for free ‘ps’…Toop Lounge too. EST 2020, La Shish and Festac Lounge too…All in the GTA. We have many women to ‘create moments’ with, it’s the time and the wives that limit us. If you are lonely and desperate, get on Seeking Arrangements…You will be overwhelmed. Like all things women, budget $100-200 per experience. 1 Like 1 Share |

Stop imposing the darkness and failures of your life on helpless and desperate Nigerians. I CANNOT help anyone to move to Canada. I have hundreds of family members to worry about. But, just like JustWise and others did for us a few years ago, I can create time once in awhile to answer questions and offer guidance. I have been doing that and will continue, no matter what morons like you try to do to overshadow truth with your ignorance and bile. All the best! |

Tradinggiant: This is the kind of nonsense that make people share little or nothing with those who need credible guidance here. How many Nigerians have permanent residence or German citizenship? What jobs do they have for Nigerians in Germany? Factory jobs Most of them have been running to the UK to do security jobs or work as teachers and nurses earning 28-32k pounds. I lived, studied and worked in the UK for (edited for privacy) years. Held research positions in Germany and Hungary. (Edited for privacy) I have friends in Australia fighting to come here. I do and have friends who earn 7-10k monthly after tax from single jobs as lawyers, BAs, academia, AML/Compliance Analysts/Managers and in IT too. Do you or your friends in Australia make that? I came and lived in a community with other Nigerian PRs. 15 of us bought our homes in the Greater Toronto Area within 2-3 years of landing in Canada. In the UK, I was living in a small room in a shared flat with my wife and son after first and advanced degrees from its best unis and 11 years. So, shut up if you don’t have the comparative insights to guide others. (Edited for privacy/security) Ignorance is bad. Adding arrogance to it is stupidity. The only reason I comment on posts OCCASIONALLY is to help people who genuinely want to come to Canada. Silly heads like you makes it worthless to do so. I am too busy to argue with morons who assume that anyone who comments here is their mate or a lowlife like them. 2 Likes |

ezeknov: Not that bad. Of course, provincial taxes are lower in Alberta et al than Ontario. The taxes give you much more in return. Children and family benefits here are higher than anywhere else. The FG just started giving $600 to parents for children’s dental costs. Outside the US, you will make more money in Canada as an immigrant than any other Western country. Also, it is easier to settle in culturally and immigration-wise than most. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

BlazinGlory40: Because the current APC Chair was the PDP strongman controlling the state politics for many years-1999 until the Akwe Doma years. For the first time, the 3 living governors of the state are on one side. David Ombuagu can’t do much to help Atiku. 1 Like |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Salary Range Can Make You Remain In Nigeria? by apolonius(m): 3:41pm On Dec 09, 2022 |
celestialAgent: Some of us make $5-12k/per month after tax. Salaries are paid bi-weekly. Entry level jobs in Canada pay $55-75k on the average. Many pay more though. Some make $15-24k monthly doing 2-4 jobs. That is the extreme. 3 Likes |

The poor in Nigeria never fail to amuse me. They are ignorantly talking and drawing conclusions about Canada without any knowledge. More importantly, they do not understand a basic truth: that 80% of Nigerian elites since 1960 have been citizens of the same countries they are criticizing. For example, just few, Tinubu, Atiku, the Sarakis, Sule, the current governor of Nassarawa, Abiodun, Makinde, Femi-Hamzat Gbaja, Omo-Agege and even Peter Obi are dual citizens. Osibanjo is a UK permanent resident…Same for the leading businessmen and pastors…Adenuga, Oyakhilome, Adefarasin. It started with Azikiwe who lived in the US for 9 years and Ekwueme, who had 9 degrees and worked in the US and the UK. In Canada, the average Nigerian professional earns $5-11k monthly, salary is paid every 2 weeks. Education and healthcare are free. Yes, mortgage costs are high. But your equity can make you 200m in 2-3 years if you decide to sell your home today. Guys, learn and help your ignorance before you preach. 15 Likes 4 Shares |
