I wonder why people go about creating this perfect picture of what they want in their spouse forgetting that no one is perfect. I have come to realize that most people here tends to want either a graduate, a working class or business partner. what happens to the undergraduates, the job seekers, etc? Are we trying to say such people don't deserve to be loved too? If u are a man and u are financially buoyant, u can establish
any woman of ur choice to your taste and
same thing goes for the woman too. pls my dear people let us have a rethink because all these qualities we are looking for might not be all we need to make a happy home. I pray God answers all our prayers and blesses us with what is best for us. thanks

Marriage is not a child's play, before anyone thinks of marriage the person has to be responsible and at least have a roof over your head and a means of livelihood no matter how little, this applies mostly to the male folks. Most ladies have picked up guys and brushed them up and in the end hv their heart broken. So my advise to men that are ready for marriage is to at least hv a house even if it's one room and a something doing then a woman can come and compliment him.

Serves them right, tell them to take things easy, they refused, they want quick money, the worst part is that you don't even see what they do with the money. I wish all 4 were even killed to avoid them re- enforcing and coming back to kill that guy that sold them out. Kudos to the Nigerian police force that got there without the usual delay.

The good news is that viral load testing is no longer targeted (where doctor only requests it under specific circumstances and for specific patients) but routine (for every clients on ARVs)

Any client who has been on ARVs for at least 6 months is eligible to have a viral load test. The viral load test measures the number of viral copies per milliliter of blood as against the CD4 test which measures the absolute number of CD4 T-lymphocytes, which is an indirect measure of a person's response to ARVs. Aside that the viral load is a direct and sensitive measure of how well the virus is getting suppressed as a result of ARVs.

To simplify this, if you have used ARVS for at least 6 months and has been adherent, your viral load should be less than 1,000 copies per ml, although it's better to have much lower numbers such as under 20 copies per ml. This iis known as virologic suppression. If you have achieved virologic suppression, it's much easier for your CD4 to rise (cos there is minimal viral replication; the process of replication destroys CD4 cells). With a rising CD4, your immunity is in better shape and you have a minimal chance of developing an opportunistic infection such as tuberculosis.

Yes that's true, as at last month my viral load was 22 after using the drug for just 6 months, my advice is for patients to be consistent with their drugs, try as much as possible not to skip ur drugs, it's all well, we shall overcome.
@awepluz, stop that self pity, it's one of those challenges of life, take ur drug and live ur life, it's not a death sentence, I have been with it for 6 years and still counting, I look healthy and I am healthy. I have met patients that have lived with it for 15 years and are as healthy as every other non positive people.

GenBuhari:
You yourself has not taken the HIV drugs and I thank God you have not because if you had I doubt you would be still here 4 years later.

Its ironic that you who have remained healthy by choosing not to take the drugs are advising other to take the drugs that would kill them.

Please stop arguing senselessly from a position

Just go on the internet or Youtube and search for HIV / AIDS hoax and learn for yourself.

Those who are taking the drugs must stop immediately at least suspend taking your drugs until you have done the research about AIDs hoax.

I did not choose not to take the drugs, I am not taking it because my CD4 count is still high, don't deceive people cos this guy's CD4 is already low so that he will not die. HIV is not a hoax, it is real, I hv seen people that are taking their drugs religiously and leaving normal and healthy.

Stop taking those tablets. They will kill you.

Do everything naturally to boost your immune system and you would be ok.

Pls Gen Buhari stop deceiving people, if you don't know jerk about HIV just keep off this thread.
@Aweplus, take your drugs, eat lots of vegetable and fruits like watermelon and cucumber, eat well and healthy but still take your drugs. HIV is no longer a killer disease, I have been living with it for the past 4 years and I still look good, make sure that you don't miss your appointment and your drugs.
It is well.

Obinoscopy: Yes, provided they use condom and the person with the virus is compliant with his/her medication. Presently, we even have medications for sero-discordant couples. This will ensure that the man does not infect his wife and vise versa for the rest of their lives

Do they give this medications for sero-discordant couples in Apin clinics or you get it from the pharmacy?

sorry but i dont follow you any longer. . . . . . .
so you had unprotected sex with your guy BEFORE the test and then decided after to go and have the test, only to discover that you were + but not him?!
well i guess if he isnt - now, he might not be along the way. some people on ARV drugs would show a - test result while they are positive. . . . . . . . . .dont be fooled people!

as for your story, although very hard to believe in 9ja, i guess you found the right guy so hold on to him until you pass away.

Its very much true cos my ex that we were making love without condom for like one year took me for HIV test and I was positive while he was negative and still is negative but unfortunately he ran 4 40, it takes an extra ordinary man to stay after founding out.

I'm sorry to hear that have human immunodeficiency virus, but as everyone else said, it's not a death sentence as long as you take you antiretroviral medication. Taking your medication does not mean you don't have faith in God. In fact, it shows that you recognize God has already given us the answer by providing knowledge for doctors and scientists to create the drugs that that keep the disease at bay. Pardon me if I'm over stepping, but I think you and "applelady" should think about meeting and seeing if you two might be compatible. At the very least, you could offer each other support. Blessings.

Please endeavour to start asap..

It is not in my hand †̥☹ start, it is the doctors that has to say when I will start, they said my CD4 is still high, it is when it gets to like 350 that I will start, meanwhile I'm on 'immunace' an immune booster. Acidosis, is it risky cos they wouldn't want to start giving me drug even if I ask them till I get to 350.
