Another thing that made Putin the more popular among Britons and Americans was the entrance into Syria. Most Americans knew that their government has a penchant for overthrowing other regimes since the world began. A lot of them have lost relatives, neighbors and friends to numerous American senseless and false pretext based wars. The Iraqi war is still very fresh in the minds of many. Thus, when Russia entered the Syria dragon, many Americans hailed the move, not because they loved Putin or Russia, but because they loath the establishment that has caused them a great deal of pain. Therefore, anyone that would give them a run for their money, is always welcomed.

I don't know about Valeriansteel, and as for yourself, I believe you know the reasons why I have critique and will continue to critique America: so I need not worry about name calling.

A troll is a person enveloped in mendacity, blinded by sentiment and hallucinating in jingoism to the extent that he becomes dangerously incoherent and unable to comprehend logically and reason maturedly. He sees 1 and tells you is I. And that is exactly what some of us down here are known for. Anybody who opines that Hillary (who gloried over the destruction of a country and the death of it's leader) is better than Trump (who said grab them by the pussy,) is a TROLL, and a dangerous one for that matter.

On the EC system, you have a point but the fact remains that the disadvantages by far outweigh the advantage. Any political society that pride itself as a democracy and yet elect it's representatives through the minority, is a complete aberration. The system encourages segregation and entrenched inequality amongst Americans. The worst part of it all is that it discourage thousands of people from voting. Its the reason why America keep experiencing low voters turn out on election days. Why would you want to vote when you know that your vote won't matter at the end due to the availability of swing states with special EC votes and their winner-takes-it all reality? It simply doesn't make sense! Beside, if the system is good,, I don't see why the clamour for change now.

On Nigeria, there is nobody that has criticised this country more than I do on this section. I supported this present regime against the previous one who happened to come from my own region because it was a total failure, with corruption like an open air crusade. But the fact that Nigeria is still corrupt and currently facing economic challenges, doesn't stop me from airing my views on the sidelines of global politics, especially where they have implications for my own country and world peace.


The appraisals and criticisms must continue as a matter of necessity.

You're correct. They are bunch of hypocrites. They have been benefiting from the same system ever since, but now that the tables have turned, the want it removed.

But let's be truthful, that system is a very wrong one to begin with, whether we trump well-wishers like it or not, or whether the Dems troll errand boys like it or not. The fact that its only the US that's practicing this unwholesome aberration in this modern era, goes to show how unpopular and inimical it is to the realities of the 21st century.

The EC is a gross aberration of the right to vote. The reasons are overwhelming.
