Mindfulness: Trust me, the corruption stigma is the least of their problems abroad. ....if you wana add racism to that. But I was only trying to be specific. I am sure you don't like it and yet you do everthing to maintain the status quo. I am sure you would love people abroad to judge you - if at all - by what you say and do and not by the way Buhari runs the country or GEJ did. Exactly! One should be judged by his own actions and inactions, and not by those of another man. But unfortunately, it doesn't work like that in a nationality. As a common and honest living Nigerian, you didn't have to steal before David Cameron branded the whole bunch of us as "a fantastically corrupt nation," and if I may ask; what is a nation? Once you know the answer, then you can fathom what he meant-you and I. |

missjo: Yea and I believe what you all should just do is argue constructively and debate without the usual rhetorics I read from Lucas and the OP about living in Nigeria and not being able to get visas. This is just degrading and not a good way to argue objectively, that's like saying that Nigerians living in Nigeria MUST worship the US. It makes no sense.
About countries trying to pile up on weapons to fortify themselves, the US doesn't even see it that way that's the problem. I mean we keep hearing horror stories of North Korea and Russia, and previously Libya, yet it's the US which promotes globalization and world peace that still ends up invading other countries, destabilizing the region and living them in ruins when they leave. I love the US and its people who are mostly accommodating and friendly in SOME places though, but let no one pretend that the US is the solution to all the world's problems. The country is directly/indirectly responsible for most of the devastation that is still being felt in some war-torn countries this 21st century. That's exactly my point and argument all along in this forum. All my submissions regarding the US have been very constructive. I don't have to lie for people to see the obvious. Why can't they just let the world be for Christ sake? This has always been my bone of contention wit their fan club members. Aside that, o have no issues with them. |

missjo: This is another point I thought about before typing my first response to Mindfulness on the previous page, and after reading this now I remember I didn't type it.lol
There's this attitude common with the US military where they feel they have the right to conduct military drills so close to the borders of other countries.Just imagine the Russian or Chinese military conducting drills close to Alaska, USA will summon a UN security council meeting on account of it. The US is constantly on her toes and suspicious of everyone else with a military that can rival theirs, and I can not say I'm surprised as to why. Don't mind them and their Main Stream Media misinformed gentlemen down here. When during the cold war the Soviets moved nukes to Cuba as response to US nukes in Turkey and the SOS call from the Castro government, the whole planet almost experienced a catastrophic engagement of thermonuclear warfare that was only averted at the last minutes. Now, we are seeing a repeated act of that fearsome moment, especially when it was been done needlessly and out of sheer stupidity. And now that some of those nations that it concerns are standing up against this hordes of hell marching, all we can hear from our brothers at the other end of the divide, is the reechoing of the popular propaganda by western MSM that the defending nation (s) is the aggressor, not caring even to sit back one time and reminisce on the real possibility. What is wrong with and affecting the judgment of the lots of these America-can-never-do-wrong club of mendacity, is their inability to fully grasp and understand the notion of "realpolitiks". They simply don't understand what constitute as "threat" to some selected nations that are renowned masters and key players of geopolitics. To them, anything America says and do is the actual and ONLY acceptable way; and if its not by America, for America or in America's interest, then it can't be accepted or judged to be of standard. Such is the prevailing wisdom in the west and among some of our jingoist friends here: that explain why they feel America can bomb, terrorise, bully or blatantly provoke other nations at will, conducting drills close to their territorial waters, for which, no one must complain, and when we do, the only thing they can tell you is that, you are jealous of their wealth and freedom, and is because you weren't granted visas to America. Very pathetic. Yes! America is always on its toes when confronted or challenged by a country of similar power, and its because it can't afford to look weak in the eyes of the committee of nations, which is a very dangerous thing because it means that they don't even known when to back down and let sleeping dogs lie. Again, when a bully meet an equal bully, a decisive one for that matter, its then the formal remembers that there exist legal and diplomatic means of settling disputes (like the UN Security Council) instead of military force. And this is exactly what America and its NATO ( Nationalized American Terrorist Organization) lap dog are learning in Syria right now. They have thrown everything at Russia-from Sanctions and evil economic forcast and the SU-24 Turkey shot down-to provocations in the Ukraine, but in all, they have lost out-Crimea, Erdogan U-turn, counter sanctions, and Assad still thriving. And now that they have painfully discovered that the opposing player this time around is equally a bully and a master of dirty politics as well, they have (just like you said) rushed down to the UN security council using France to draft a new resolution calling for truce and seeking Russia to please, halt hostilities in Syria. But The Russians have vetoed the draft resolution, making it clear, per Churkin, that play time is over. It's either you stick to our deal or no deal at all. This thing happened today, and you need to see the pain and disappointment in their faces. What Russia did was called their bluff and up the ante against them that, "since you don't want peace, then bring on the war". My sister, you need to see the face of the British representative to the UN during the meeting today, especially when the Russian side mimicked him, "Russia, please stop, stop, stop!" The ediots are now learning the street code that no Man Is King Of the Streets. Pathetic sons of Lucifer. |

mojeer678: You're right. A nuclear holocaust isn't a joke at all. Lucas and his ilks don't fully appreciate the situation, but could they? With the weapons of mass distractions that have been unleashed on the populace and the watered-down 'truth' from the compromised media, independent thinking is a rare feat.
Most of the saber-rattling neo-cons truly believe that they can win a nuclear war with Russia, a clear evidence of absolute insanity! The doomsday seed-vault, the deep underground military bases (d.u.m.b) et.c are part of the proof that they expect to be around when the radioactive dusts settle. You really need to wonder whether these folks are even human? At times, I do wonder if they are humans at all... How can a rationale human being with sense of guilt and conscience will go on the rampage killing people by way of coded revolution and overt military bombardment, simply because he doesn't like the face of the other man at the helms of affairs in the target country? The thing is beyond me. |

missjo: I don't consider myself part of this HAC group here, which is why my earlier questions to Mr. Lucas came entirely from this perspective. There's just no way any human who follows world politics and is being objective won't realize how the US sees itself as the standard by which every other nation must be measured.
There are more effective ways to dominate the world, but the US seems to only do this by bullying, placing trade restrictions, sanctions, and embargoes on countries that don't do as it wants. This method only breeds antagonism and more anti-american sentiment. Take a look at China and see how they're becoming an economic powerhouse to reckon with just by using a simple yet more effective method suited to this time to dominate, TECHNOLOGY IN REVERSE ENGINEERING. Even read somewhere how some American manufacturers were angry that the Chinese keep manufacturing alternatives to their products at a cheaper price,lol..and they called it BAD. Like seriously, how is not bad? Reverse engineering is a branch of science.
We have moved way past from the time when force was used to subdue and dominate regions, this isn't the 18th or 19th century. If the US wants to make friends instead of building up hidden aggression, it needs to quit the show of force and power tactics. Countries that are capable of building a nuclear arsenal are getting more by the day,if everyone decides to say enough is enough, it won't be good for anyone involved. I am not trying to woo you over, but I must say your thoughts are very insightful. I can't understand why people can't see how dangerous this world has become for everyone as many countries are now trying to get their hands on some weapons of mass destruction they believe should help them attain freedom from the choking hands of the US led global hegemony. A situation where one nation resort to color coded revolution, assassination, sanctions and outright invasion to overthrow and destroy governments for simply refusing to follow its dictate, its something that's now tbreatening the very foundation of global peace. That is why some of us here are so resentful of the US. Left for me, I have nothing against Americans in their own private capacity, all I ever wanted was that their government should allow the world to live in peace. I don't even know of any HAC club some of these our brothers are talking about. If Nigerians hate Americans per se, you won't see any long queues on the US embassy. Therefore, their excuse is baseless. our resentment and comments are based on facts. |

mojeer678: It is not a joke at all!!
These however are indisputable facts:
FACT: Russia did not stage massive nuclear drills without a reason, America really is being aggressive, Russia really did say it is on par with the bay of pigs, Russia really is sending the baltic fleet to the Mediterranean, Russia really did give shoot down orders, America really does intend to defy them and is painting American fighter jets with Russian paint schemes to put the blame on Russia when America bombs civilian targets.
Rumor: Russia has given its troops permission to sink any Nato ship. Russia is prepping for a tactical nuclear war in Syria. What does it all add up to? A whole lot of panic, with people making tons of predictions.
VERY IMPORTANT: According to rumor I never managed to confirm, Joel Skousen - who is one of the most restrained political analysts out there said that the doom date is October 8th. That makes me worry, because he has never said anything like that. As usual, I am not going to make any predictions but I will say this: I am trying to prepare for the start of world war 3 and it has never looked spookier.
Trump is still ahead by a margin of approximately 90/10 and that has very evil people working overtime with trolls in the forums and blogs, saying the most ridiculous things to legitimize an election steal. "THEY" are cornered, and if they think they are going to lose it, things really will go BOOM. Soros wants both America and Russia destroyed. If he can trigger that now, all the better. And Soros knows he had better act now, because if Trump for any odd reason manages to get into power despite the fraud, he can kiss his NWO / death of America dreams goodbye. He won't give up on that easily.
So I have been having a difficult time sleeping lately.
Source: http://82.221.129.208/basepagei4.html Damn it man! I don't see why people just can't see these things. I too read about that shoot and sink NATO ships order by the Kremlin, and with the way Germany, France and the UN are now stepping up talks with Russia to "calm down" and put a bit of legs on the brakes with respect to Syria, entails that alarm bells are truly ringing red October. Brother, one should really be worried. |

Zoharariel: You're correct Appleyard of Moskow. I hear NATO have just deployed AWACS illegally to Syria.
www.globalresearch.ca/airborne-radar-warning-and-control-nato-deploys-awacs-to-syria-in-violation-of-international-law/5549480
Imagine the excuse given by Jens Stoltenberg (NATO's general secretary)? He says the AWACS were deployed to improve the coalition's view of the sky.
Alois Irlmaiers scary prophecy is coming to pass - step by step right before our eyes. "Coalition view of the sky" my foot. This morons are simply playing into the hands of the cosmic order, but they don't know it. Galois Irlmaiers scary prophecy is truly taking shape right before our eyes, and so many people are oblivious to this facts. As we speak, Russia has intensified the building of more underground bunkers, and even the US had complain about this previously. A lot of people simply don't know what is happening. Nuclear bombs are being moved to the borders, yet some people can see that this is no child's playing. But as serious as it seem, what happened recently got me laughing. This is what the Russian Defense Ministry said recently: "Any missile or airstrikes on the territory controlled by the Syrian government will create a clear threat to Russian servicemen. Russian air defense system crew are unlikely to have time to determine in a 'straight line' the exact flight paths of missiles and then who the warheads belongs to. And all the illusions of amateurs about the existence of 'invincible' jets will face a disappointing reality." As am talking to you, after that statement, the US is now trying to rush another diplomat to Moskow.... |

How come Litvinenko was done away with Polonium 21? …yes, right. Actually it seems that the enemies of the Anglo-American Zio alliance Chavez in Venezuala, Arafat, others in S. America are the ones being poisoned and make sick w/cancer. Oh! It's Putin who's done all those too? Huh?
Hear the brother: Maksim Litvinenko, Aleksandr’s younger brother who lives in Rimini, Italy, responded to the Thursday report by saying it was “ridiculous” to blame the Kremlin for the murder of his brother, stating that he believes British security services had more of a motive to carry out the assassination.
“My father and I are sure that the Russian authorities are not involved. It’s all a set-up to put pressure on the Russian government,” Litvinenko told the Mirror, adding that such reasoning is the only explanation as to why the inquiry was launched 10 years after his brother’s death. @ the bolded. Lucasbalo: How do you know the Americans on this forum never travelled out of their States or outside of America . Isn't that a generalization . On average Americans are probably one of the most travelled people in the world. I have friends and work with people who have travelled to places you can only dream about. What makes you think if you in Nigeria can listen to alternative news, Americans don't. What makes you better or more intelligent than Americans to make that kind of statement. Personally I have been to well over 30 countries not even counting Nigeria, Togo. Ghana, South Africa and other few countries. Tell me your HAC members how far have they travelled. I don't even need to go line up in some embassy praying to get a visa. I am making this point to counter your argument about Americans not leaving their States. You will criticize America and her citizens and you guys don't like to be challenged. There is more to be criticized in Nigeria and about Nigerians worshipping the worthlessly corrupt people that makes Nigeria a perpetual third world country where hyper inflation makes your Naira as good as a tissue paper. Think about that. I don't care what the average American does or what goes on inside America cause, like every other nation, they have their own challenges and handle themselves better. Besides, we Nigerians here have our troubles to cope with, but certainly, with all our corruption and internal economic challenges, Nigeria isn't the one killing people and destroying nations from one end of the world to another. And this is our point of divergence with America- the outside, as against America-the inside; but then against Americans who claims but knows nothing about America on the outside. And these are the jingoist I was strictly referring to-acclaimed Americans down here whose thinking faculties and sense of reasoning suggest they know nothing about the outside world. An acclaimed American traveller should know that his beloved country run by a war prone government is causing destruction and chaos, not just rushing into any discourse to defend the actions of such government on the basis of delusive jingoism. Just like every well informed Nigerian citizen that travelled knows that his country is profoundly corrupt, not just by what he sees in the other countries, but also by the resentment and treatment meted out to him, an acclaimed American traveller should have known why so many people across the world dislike them, not just rushing here to say they hate us because of our wealth and freedom. Just as the average Nigerian who travels and watched alternative news and knew that his fellow country men in Indonesia and the likes are being killed and jailed for their drug offenses, so too an acclaimed American traveller and alternative news watcher should have known that there are no "moderate rebels" in Syria, and that its government is not actually spreading democracy but chaos and anarchy. But unfortunately, what do we have down here, other than kids who runs around shouting people hate America because of their wealth and freedom, or because they weren't granted visas? An American who watch and do alternative research should have known that sector 7 went down on a "free fall" during 9/11, and that the BBC reported the collapse A WHOLE 27 MINUTES before it actually happened. And when people like us point out some of this facts, they called us conspiracy theorist. Now people like that can't be said to have travelled or uses alternative information sources to ascertain the veracity of global issues. And the story is the same for Iraq, Libya, and Now Syria, with so much more in time past. But when you start pointing out the obvious truth to them, their only defense is that " you didn't get your visa, that's why you hate us so much." That pretty much sums up the definition of a deluded and ill-informed fellow. |

Lucasbalo: Stop spreading unnecessary fear. There is not going to be any nuclear holocaust. The worst time for nuclear holocaust was Cuba Missille crisis of early 60s and cooler heads prevailed between President John F. Kennedy and Nikita Kruchnev. That was as bad as it could be and everyone came to their senses at the last minute. What Lucas! Compare to this, Cuba missile crisis is child's playing. We are talking the possibility of the two most dangerous and vocal nuclear armed enemies shooting at each other, actively involved in a war, not by proxies this time, but by themselves, yet you think this is Cuba? Are you guys even following events at all? The US is now seriously considering directly attacking the Syrian army, for which Russia is fighting along side with, can you get the picture? Russia has now move its most sophisticated air defense components into Syria, and has further given the S-300 to the Syrian government to defend itself, while making it clear that from now on, it will destroy any aerier target that threatens both the Syrian and Russian forces. Meanwhile US tactical nukes have now found a home in Romania-a country that borders Russia (just imagine how the reaction would have been if Russia is to move nukes into Mexico) and Russia has responded by moving ICBMs like Islander and many more to its borders with Europe. Report coming in now is that Russia nuclear strike subs are now withing striking range of the east coastal waters, even as some naval vessels carrying the renowned Nuclear tipped BrahMos and many other such missiles, are now sailing towards Syria. China is now set to provide 'logistic support' in the Syrian debacle, and we all know that that's the normal way it starts off, "logistic support" before proceeding to full military involvement. And to make the heart beat faster than normalcy, the US is considering sending in more "special forces" (the modern acronym for covert ground troops) and is the same footing Russia is now reportedly taking. Now, with all these successive events taken and shaping up, you still think it is nothing? Even some of your top notched Generals and some others from Europe are stating the same thing. My friend, I will advice that you follow your elections with one eye while using the other to monitor the Mideast and the Balkans. A lot of white could hit the fan when you least expected. |

Lucasbalo: I don't mean disrespect with this because you are my man even though we disagree on America. The correct name is Dwight Eisenhower of famed statement warning Americans about MIC ( Military Industrial Complex ). Noted, Lucas. That's how we roll! A lot of people are blaming Obama for the chaos in Syria, and of course, he shares part of the blames because he is the Pontus; but the real enemy here is the MIC. they are the ones, with their covert '2nd CIA' on ground in Syria, thwarting all efforts by the Obama administration to coordinate attack with Russia in dealing with the takfiri sons of Lucifer. One of their contractor recently brazenly said that "the Russian threat is good for business." You can imagine! This much has vindicated Dwight Eisenhower. What we have here now is some bunch of crazy idiots highjacking America's Foreign Policy and arm-twisting the white house to satisfy their Satanic greed. And in the course of carrying out this blatant evil, they don't care whether the rest of the world dies off. Some people who read my comments on America vs Russia geopolitical 'set pieces' at times think I am an alarmist. Some have even tagged me a conspiracy theorist, if only they understand the dynamics at play here, if only they knew that some set pieces can rebound off the post and cause a catastrophic result. And what is happening in Syria now could turn out to be one such rebounding nightmare footage you would never have wished to see. Mindfulness: Hungary is part of the EU and the EU and the US of A are partners on many levels. It is legitimate to criticise your partners. Obama also recommended that the British do not leave the EU. While some Brits got upset, others felt he supported them. Whatever you do, there is no pleasing everyone, especially not in politics, be it domestic or international. We have to allow freedom of speech on a global scale, we live in a globalized world. As long as you do not use bombs to force your opinion on others, a respectful dialogue should not be much of a problem. We woulCorrec live in a much more peaceful world if we allowed and respected the opinions of others. It's hard sometimes, I know. Yes, it's legitimate to criticise your partner, but on what basis when you're playing the card of the hypocrite? How many refugees has American taken ever since the Syrian crisis began? Why then is she trying to ridicule another sovereign for the same thing she has refused to do? Isn't that ridiculously hypocritical and senseless bullying? Come to think of it, the Hungarians have seen what the " rapefugees" are doing in Germany and Sweden, what terrorism is now doing in France; don't you think it is wise that they protect their people from such horror? I think it is logical if they so chose. Therefore, on that note, Missjo was very correct. If you want others to follow, lead by examples. I think that you have asked the right questions which can initiate an interesting discourse but your rhetorics is part of the problem. You speak of the US as one political entity when in fact the US only exists as one geographical unit. The US like any other country is diverse and divided into different political camps, which also differ in their approach to international politics.
I think that we should be careful to condemn an entire nation, which consists of diverse political, religious, ethnic and racial groups. The Iraq War was one of the biggest biggest mistakes in human history but was it the US who invaded Iraq? No, it was the Bush jr. administration and if you want you can blame his voters too but what about the rest of America who didn't vote for him and who protested against the war?
For heaven's sake! The US IS ONE POLITICAL ENTITY existing in ONE DEFINITE GEOGRAPHICAL UNIT, and the various diverse cultures, religion and political orientations you were talking about, are just the residual and constituent factors that sums up that political entity as a sovereign state. That is why it is called " The United States of America", not the other way round. I believe you understand the doctrine of legitimate authority vis-à-vis the concept of sovereignty? Cause I find it ironical that it was Bush, not the US that invaded Iraq. You should know that the leader elect of any country is a representative of that country, who, immediately after being elected into office, is conferred with legitimate authority, which he derives from the sovereign (the people). And when he makes any decision, it becomes the decision of the entire people by virtue of that legitimate authority (notwithstanding whether its not all of the people that voted for him). Thus, when Bush made the decision to invade Iraq, it was the whole of America that actually made that decision and invaded Iraq, not just Bush and his family. Let that sink in. The rest of your post are on the same footing, hence, no need making much ado about nothing. Stay well. |

missjo: I'm sorry to interfere, I saw this thread because I follow someone who posted here.
My questions are: 1. What's your opinion on the way the US tries to police every other country into doing what she wants?
For example, just yesterday, Hungarians voted against accepting Syrian refugees. The US is having none of this, but how is it the business of the US to determine if another country should accept refugees. Canadian PM in the last UN summit made a move to accept refugees into his country in their thousands, why doesn't the US do same of she cares so much about refugees rather than trying to bully other countries into doing what they don't want?
Another recent instance is the issue of France banning Muslim women from wearing BURKINIS at the beach. Again, the US is citing civil rights and condemning it. But how is it the business of the US?
2. What's your opinion on the Russian, China, and most notably, North-Korean anti-american sentiments? We understand how potentially destructive it is for countries to develop nuclear weapons and then go ahead to test them. But do you know that America is the first and only country to have detonated a nuclear weapon? Since this is the case, what gives the US a right to decide who should develop nuclear weapons?
China as a country enjoys trade agreements and economic partnership with the US, yet they are innately anti-american. The censure in that country is so much that the government openly limits what it calls 'western influence' especially in their media. IS THIS A BAD THING?
3. Are you a Nigerian? If not, why do you remain on this forum which is a product of the country which you detest so much? Yeah shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free..... You are free..... |

A lot of Americans and some of them claiming Americans here don't travel outside their states, not to mention crossing the national borders; neither do they take time to watch alternative media sources other than the BBC, CNN, etc, to see what their Illuminati controlled government is doing in their name. Hence, you see them rushing like blind men to defend their government on a course they know nothing about. Its because they don't listen to alternative voices of information that they fell victims to the lies told them about Iraq. The same trick was successfully repeated regarding Libya, Now, is Syria, and so on. Like ATERI rightly denoted, you can tell a kid from a man when he or she rushes forward to say, "you hate my country because we refused you entry visa, and you are jealous of our wealth." To then, every country that dislike their government for obvious reasons, is only jealous of their wealth. That's the most pathetic and childish reasoning I have ever come across. By the time nuclear weapons starts flying, its then they will remember the warnings of their own founding fathers and from some of their formal head of states like highsonhower and others, regarding the MIC and the satanic banksters. Its Just that by then, its already too late. |

ATERI: Of course, there are better reasons why people criticize America than the laughable reasons you posted above. What type of delusion would make you think that people criticize America because they were denied visas? I mean, what are you thinking and where have you been living? Are you sure you are American living in America, because only a confused African-American would be surprised at seeing blacks that are critical of America. If you want an intelligent argument, maybe you should start by asking yourself how many topics that are critical of America make it to the front page of Nairaland. Please ask yourself how soft Nigerians are on fellow Nigerians, especially Nigerians that are in the corridors of power as leaders. You are displaying one of the characteristics of a typical American here, which is to comment and judge others without full information. You can also tell us what percentage of the news that you watch or listen to in America that is positive and portray Africa, especially Nigeria, in good light. Or you just think that American networks should have monopoly on the demonization of others without any reply?
I like the way you have been characterising Nigeria in your postings here. Since America is a paradise, do you mind telling me what America is actually good at? Do you have the best literacy rate in the world or is income inequality in your country the lowest? What about your infant mortality rate and what is the poverty rate in God`s own country? When it comes to the indices that define a great nation, does America lead the world in any shape or form? Of course, I would give it to you that you are in possession of all the infrastructure of terror, but beyond that, anything? Yours is a country that doesn`t have a mandatory paid leave for your labour force nation-wide and you still think that people should not criticise America. Your America was responsible for the murder of the winner of the best presidential election in the history of Nigeria and so many other terrorist acts that have never been punished. My brother, if you want me to define America for you, it`s the topmost terrorist nation in the world. Good morning! Gbam! May you live, not to die, but raptured as a raw blooded Soulja of truth. Zoharariel, give this man a piece of Langley, Kiev, and the whole of Gaza and Golan Height. Cyprus000, this man ought to be in ya Bulava class submarine Edo state regiment. |

Lucasbalo: Of all the HAC members, you are the one that's very surprising to me. I really believe you are very intelligent and I am not patronizing you. Who cares about what some non entity says about how America is the most hated country in the world. Let you and i travel anywhere in the world with our different passports and see the kind of different treatments we get. I have traveled very extensively due to work and R and R. The respect of carrying that blue passport is unique. Will be in Nigeria this coming December and the respect is still there. All you need to do is go on to Travel Section on this Nairaland and see how your country men are jostling for US visas. Go to the Consulate in Lagos and see the behemoth crowd seeking entrance to God's own Country. You and your comrades in HAC can say all kind of vile things about America, the bottom line is that the Americans don't give a hoot. With all the unimaginable corruption and nepotism coupled with your Naira turning to tissue paper, that doesn't bother you guys. It's America that gets your mojo kicking. If I live in Nigeria, the worthlessly corrupt and whole fully inept government will be my numero uno concern. Nigeria is like a Titanic sinking and you guys are foaming in the mouth about a First World and First Class Country. What a misplaced priorities. I won't be worried if the house 10 miles away from me is burning while I know my house is on fire. Charity begins at home. Make Nigeria whole before you critique a great country called USA. Dear Lucas, need I repeat myself on why America is increasingly hated across the globe by so many informed people? I don't think so, cause we've been through that path before. Nobody dispute America being a first class nation, nor is anyone denying the respect and popularity it commands across the hemispheres, but there lies the irony: a country that is so popular and highly respected is, at the same, voted the greatest threat to World Peace; isn't that ironical enough? What does that entails? Simple! It entails that while many people across the globe recognized America as a very rich and open-arm nation that they desire to be, they nonetheless with equal passion highly resent it due to its military interventionism and warmongering destructive rhetorics. The fact that America is rich and a notable global player amongst the committee of nations, doesn't mean it cannot be criticised for its destructive and overbearing Foreign Policy. I sometimes wondered why some of you can't even stomach a jot of criticism of America, which are right and constructive. It's like saying people MUST not be wary of water because its essential to human health, even when that same water drowns people, overflow its boundaries and destroy cities and lives. The America can-never-do-wrong Club of mendacity presupposes that since America has been of immense help to so many countries and its a place to be, we all MUST also embrace its destructive tendencies and warmongering, death machine ravaging the earth and causing instability from one place to another.. Such ACNDW Kool Aid logic, I must confess, is very appalling, don't you think? Thanks be to God Almighty you made mention of Nigeria. Do you know that because of the senseless addictive corruption syndrome in this our beloved country, every well meaning Nigerian is now a potential suspect and highly discriminated against wherever they travelled, as a result of being stigmatized? Now, if such a predicament is confronting millions of innocent Nigerians today even when they did no wrong, what makes anyone think that America and its people should not be hated and criticised by so many others for the crimes of its government abroad, even when they (the people) did nothing wrong per se? Therefore, America, like every other nation, has it Achilles hill and will be criticised more like every other nation. It is something you Anerican lovers cannot run away from, just as we ordinary Nigerians can't run away from the fact of being branded as a corrupt nation. And this is the reason we have Nairaland and it's foreign affairs segment, where all Nigerians and any other foreigner can discus anything of importance. It just don't have to do with how rich or poor we are, but constructively reviewing, criticising and analysing those things we feel and hold dear to us. |

mojeer678: Of course, if you had the questions 'piped' ahead of time to you, you'd be 'calm and composed all through'.
It looks like Hillary had a hidden mic Yep, it just gets better and better - Hillary may have been getting her responses sent to her over a mic box she was wearing on her back. This is going viral on the web now, she got BUSTED. And with a moderator on her side, giving her unfair time, plus a mic box, plus Trump getting messed with, Trump still bashed her into the gutter in the online polls. Way to go.
And I'd like to point something out here - to excuse off Hillary losing, the Time magazine poll (which claims Hillary supporters are more educated, more connected, more social (and therefore have more media communication devices) is implying that Trump is winning because the simple deplorables communicate more, have more devices, etc and that they are stacking the results. So we have a bit of cognitive dissidence here, where the under class is more social and more connected? What a laugh!

Foreign Affairs › Re: MH17 Missile 'came From Russia' by Appleyard(m): 1:05am On Sep 29, 2016 |
Zoharariel: 1.) John Kerry says America has satellite footage & images showing that the MH-17 was downed by BUK missile.
2 years later, John Kerry is still looking for the evidence.
2.) A large group next of kin of MH-17 victims wrote letters to John Kerry, Ukraine President - Poroshenko & the Russian Federation President Putin.
In the letter, the next of kin requested for the radar data as well as satellite photos & satellite infra-red data to be handed over.
a.) Poroshenko did not respond.
b.) Putin responded through Oleg Storchevoy, the deputy head of Rosaviatsia, (the agency representing Russia in the MH-17 crash investigation), by publishing on Russia Today's website - a response to the relatives of the victims in a lengthy letter. Although the next of kins did not receive a personal email or letter.
c.) John Kerry responded by a letter but did not answer the question about handing over radar data or satellite photos. Kerry just said that the “US believes” (Can you imagine? Just like they believed Saddam had WMDs ) MH17 was shot down by a missile from an area controlled by the separatists.
3.) Fred Westerbeke (the Dutch official leading the investigation of the crash) wrote a letter to the Dutch families of the MH17 tragedy. He revealed that the Amerikans had released their satellite data to the Dutch Security Services, although he did not disclose the evidence.
Do you know Y? Because the data released by Amerika clearly contradicts John Kerry's previous narrative.
4.) Lastly, to the BBC headline: “MH17 missile 'came from Russia', Dutch-led investigators say”
A simple google search of “BUK Missile System operators” reveals Ukraine currently operates 72 units of the BUK Missile Systems - and if Russia already refuted the washington childish narrative “that the BUK system had been taken from Russia to rebel-held Ukraine in the morning of 17 July, when the plane was shot down, and then taken back to Russia afterwards” - then you should do the math.
In conclusion, judging by the scenario that just played out in Syria regarding the bombing of the humanitarian convoy near Aleppo by Amerika & her organ-eating terrorists - while trying to blame it on Russia & the Assad regime; I would say Amerika - through the CIA & the Ukrainian forces downed the MH-17 on July 17, 2014 - and are trying fruitlessly to blame it on Russia.
This is neither the 1st time Amerika is employing that kindergarten tactics, nor will it be the last. You guys are just wasting your precious time in trying to unbuckled zombies crucified to the cross seats of CIA controlled western ministries of truth-for which the DSB and the JIT are simply offshoot. Everyone knew from the onset that its always going to be the same mantra. This was an investigation that was shrouded in mystery from day one. An investigation that previously excluded the primary victim (Malaysia) from being part of the initial investigation, and was only allowed in after much anger. An investigation where one of the primary member (Ukraine) culpable of the said crime is made a principal member of the investigating body, while the other accused (Russia and the Donbass separatists) are blatantly left out in the cold. An investigation that solely relies on social media claims as facts, intercepted audio files that have been clearly disproved and debunked long ago. The two most stupid notable errors in the recent JIT release in supporting their crooked evidence, was the claim that, "we have obtained some Primary Radar Data Video from Ukraine..." The ediots have forgotten that Ukraine MADE IT CLEAR FROM THE ONSET THAT IT'S PRIMARY RADAR WAS SWITCHED OFF DURING THAT TIME, AND EVEN ITS SECONDARY RADAR WAS UNDER MAINTENANCE. What a contradictory SonyMax joke of the century. Yet, this is the same garbage some unrepentant pigmified shenanigans cum terrorists apologists won't stop spouting and foaming about here on Nairaland. There are times I wondered if some people have brains at all. The second flaw is perhaps, the rush to blame Russia, thus further revealing the crooked oxymoron in their next line of lies when they said that, " primary radar data video". Heck! It is either a primary radar data or a video. But our so-called independent investigators can't get the mix. Then follows the complete usurpation of court powers by blatantly apportioning guilt without answering and taking into consideration the numerous unanswered questions like: why in heaven can't families of the slain Malaysian Pilots inspect the bodies of their sons? Why are they up till now been denied access to their coffins? What are they hiding? Why did all the parties to the stupid and crooked investigation signed a Non Disclosure Pact among themselves, if truly the investigation is independent? And what a hell was Belgium doing there? Where is the damn evidence from the acclaimed US satellite that can even read the pages of newspaper from space? Has Kerry used up the paper works for toilet papers? Where is the Ukrainian air traffic controller then? And so many more.... Until our CIA incarcerated thinkers can answer the above glaring facts, the hope for MH17 criminal justice process will continue to be a fleeting illusion, while those terrorists apologists can continue chanting "Russia did it, even as their master is now clearly coordinating attack with their ISIS pet project in Syria!" Pathetic. |

mojeer678: US has been called out by Assad:
RT: US airstrikes on Syrian troops were ‘intentional,’ lasted nearly 1 hour – Assad to AP
This is an important piece. This really was a game changing incident that is having serious repercussions now.
"It was not an accident by one airplane; it was four airplanes which kept attacking the position of the Syrian troops for nearly one hour or maybe a little bit more than one hour," Assad told AP, adding they were attacking a large area that "constituted of many hills" adjacent to where the Syrian troops were stationed.
"The IS troops attacked at the very same time as the American strike. How could they know that America was going to attack that position in order to gather their militants right away and attack it one hour after the strike. It was definitely intentional and not unintentional".
Source: https: //www.rt.com/news/360248-assad-ap-intentional-us-airstrikes/ It is only people who are wired to die with their eyes wide open that would believe that the US attack wasn't intentional.
