Acura 3.5L V6 280hp
Acura 3.7L SHAWD 305hp
0-60 in 5.5secs
11.6L/100km city driving

Venza 2.7L I4 182hp
Venza 3.5L V6 2xxhp
0-60 in 7.2secs
10.0L/100km

the Acura is more luxurious

both vehicles are reliable but the venza has an edge

the 4cylinder venza is the most fuel efficient of the lot but the Acura is fastest as it's a sedan with better balance and better curb weight than the venza

for your travelling the Acura would be safer less common and not a robbers magnet compared to the venza. though the venza ground clearance would be useful on our potopoto highway.

verdict if you intend to hurl goods and family on a travelling expedition stopping along the way to take a nap, buy more stuffs for travelling the venza 4cylinder would do it with its leg room, cargo space and build stance you can carry more things around, it's V6 for addition safe speeding and acceleration.

The Acura TL is not bad either, has premium entertainment for passengers, comfortable sitting and ample space. The 3.5 and 3.7L engines would always make sure you get power on demand and not the last to arrive at your destination.

Thanks Nurey..

We really like the build and design of both cars and if money weren't an issue, we'll get both. Perhaps someday.

@Robber magnet for the Venza. That has always been an issue. Not just robbers, but the police too especially outside Lagos and heading Eastward.

The TL isn't all that common so we felt maybe there was some kinda reliability issue or something about it.
Car Talk / Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by Aquariann: 1:39am On Sep 05, 2018
Can someone help with an Acura TL 10/11 vs a Venza of same year comparison?

-Reliability And Durability
-The more powerful engine
-Transmission issues if any
-Average cost of basic maintenance repairs and OEM
- Not an everyday car (Sundays and official/business meetings) but will embark on a Lagos <-> Cross River trip at least four times a year
-What will be your personal choice and why?

Thanks

Probably driving not just with speed, but held the steering with one hand, the other hand was holding a phone which he was also looking at and at the same time discussing with the girl to have failed to notice the truck he ran into wasn't moving but was stationary.

Avoidable accidents everywhere. Like the Young shall grow accident a few days back and the Edo Returnees who died along Lagos- Sagamu road, Nigerians get easily distracted behind the wheel.

I thought of that too and then again he said if one flies to Enugu, you cannot fly to Makurdi right? No airport in Makurdi except the military tarmac at the base and it's not meant for everybody.

Perhaps those coming from Abuja through Makurdi. It'll pay them to come by road than fly to Enugu or Calabar and than begin another road trip to Obudu.

In any case, a decent driver should make Obudu town in 4hrs from Enugu, 3hrs from Makurdi and then another 45mins -1hr from Obudu town to the top of the ranch.

OR go through Benue. Obudu is 1hr 30mins from Makurdi.

Even Obudu town is more than 2 hours from Makurdi. Abi you dey fly? Yandev-Katsina-Ala stretch alone go chop like 45mins - 1hr.

Spot on bro. It amazes me how my igbo friends who doesn't know Jack about national politics assumes proffersorial status in issues relating to the civil war and mundane ethnic bigotry even at a tender age.
You hear them say silly words like Lagos is no man's land, Yoruba's are dirty, Yoruba's are traitors, Yorubas are diabolical, Yoruba are cowards, Igbos are superior to other ethnic nationalities, and all forms of ethnic stereotypes even at s tender age.
it makes me disturb and wonder who programmed this kids for this level of hate and bigotry. It's as if there is a HATE curriculum being circulated and taught by this people.

It's so annoying. At such tender age their minds are already polluted and filled with so much hate you begin to wonder what went wrong.

Na wa o. It must be hard being Igbo. The victim mentality, crybabies complex, and general aversion (for lack of a better word) towards Yorubas is beginning to call for concern.

These people need help. It's not inborn but rather due to what I'll like to refer to as an acute dose of social conditioning that begins when they were just babies, running throughout their childhood and adolescence, and eventually goes on their entire life.

Carried out by their parents, teachers, leaders and local media, through the repetition of the same simple messages thousands of times over long periods until their mind gives in and absorbs them, they're trained to have certain beliefs, behaviors, desires and emotional reactions to (National) issues generally.

Examples.

1. When the civil war is being discussed, you must blame Awolowo and Yoruba

2. Lagos is no man's land and was covered with water, we developed it. (This was what my 11/12 years old classmate told me in Jss1 in FGCV during documentation when the teacher in charge of our class asked our states and I stood up to say Lagos. Mind you, the only thing I knew then were the states and capitals, their governors and a few ministers. She already knew Lagos was no mans land and had to make a comment that I was wrong to say I'm from Lagos).

3. Blame Yorubas for the bad roads in the East, failure of Enugu airport and poor patronage of South Eastern seaports.

4. No matter the argument, you must turn it on it's head and find a way to drag Yorubas into it (like the writer of this horseshít has done)

5. Remember you developed every Nigerian city and everyone (insert Yoruba) hates you and don't want you to succeed.

6. Just blame everyone else ( especially Yorubas) when things don't go right politically due to your wrong political calculations

7. Every Yoruba man is working to undermine you at every turn. etc.

So unless these generation of Igbos fail to brainwash their own kids and pass down all these lies they've been told by their fathers, the victim mentality will continue for a long time.

Something you're not taught in class can put food on your table... Tailoring, Photography, Cinematography, Web design etc.

Upon graduation, you incorporate your educational knowledge (and course of study like in Op's case, Marketing) to your business. This makes you stand out from the uneducated Tailor or photographer out there.

Truly? I've been searching to establish that but haven't gotten any concrete. Care to share any link?

Excerpts Spanning 156.65 kilometres, the track is a double line, the first phase of a new Lagos-Kano standard gauge line, and is expected to be completed in 18 months.

https://punchng.com/tags/lagos-ibadan-rail-line/?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C4584478760

Mere looking at the tracks laid, (not only from those on the thread), the width of the gravel also shows that a second line would be laid, and the bridges built, you'll know it's a dual carriage way.

This rail track should be a twin one na. They should just make it right for once not awarding another track contract in the next 8 years saying the single track can't sustain the traffic anymore. Please make it dual for once. We deserve this in this country we ain't mediocres. Nice job there. Keep it up.

It's a Dual carriage track

So are you saying Buhari will support another party other than APC & PDP in 2023 since PDP won't also be presenting a northern candidate?

Lol.. He's banking on the PDP producing another Northern candidate in 2023 and a SE Vp to counter APC's SW presidential candidate.

Let's just assume his wishes were to come true, he also believes the South South and North Central (which they claim are against the North) will rather vote another northerner like them than a Yoruba man.

Has improved tremendously. We're sure of power supply 5 days in a week. The 48 hours are the breaks in between and usually they'll still be power supply at other parts of the estate.

Location: Ikota Villa estate.

Also, I hardly visit my Family house and there's no power supply. Has been like that for a long while though. i.e Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi.

Example Benue, Ebonyi and Cross River folks fighting with themselves in each and every community they share boundaries since I was born.
