I only know of 30 days when funds will revert automatically if the merchant does not claim it. |
websolushun:How far? |
tooltip:When I worked for a freelance company on Craiglist, I was receiving my payments by PayPal. That was 2011/12, but I stopped working for them when the payout time was later getting delayed. Although they had desired years of working together as Project Management Assistant (PMA), I was reviewing articles that were corrected by Editors after submission by Copywriters/Article Writers. On Amazon KDP, I am receiving my payments into my US bank account and not Payoneer nor PayPal. I have Payoneer account and MasterCard nonetheless. |
I can see the nairaland system changed my word to Reproduction instead of the noun form of coital that I put there. No problem, the substitution is still talking along my street; better than getting banned. |
Sarahn:Thank you for making value-adding critique on this thread. Aside the grammatical and typographical errors highlighted by that guy, don't you think your dislike for the "legal" jargon, CONJUGAL, in that blurb is because of your aversion for anything marital (family-like) and religious? As an asexual and atheistic personality (going by your signature), it may be natural for you to see CONJUGAL as a bias word that connotes or approves sex in only a conventional, man to woman, legalized or unionized Church-like marriage. But note that the writer may also have other Amazon visitors that are not asexual or atheistic in personality, who will see the word conjugal as mere coital (from coitus) in meaning. So it is left for him to decide who his target market is. If he wants to win more money from both sides of personality fence, he can go ahead to find euphemism for the word. I think our backgrounds influence our stand/position here. |
KMVBO:I am looking at N1.25m |
bay0urlee:Sorry for late response. I guess I already replied you by email. US resident can send money to your Payoneer account by bank transfer just like PayPal, Skrill, etc can do to it via ACH transfer. Visit payoneer FAQ for details. |
Can it do long journey like interstate as I intend sending it to someone far away like 4 states from Lagos? Is it automatic or manual? What is the best price you can offer below the N1.4m? |
I noticed that cards are now included in Payza for both funding and withdrawal options though US service is yet to be resumed with Payza card issuance? |
KDP Author Russell Blake Russell Blake, author of JET: Sanctuary, shares his experience with Kindle Direct Publishing. "When a friend of mine began pestering me in 2011 with articles about indie authors who were hitting big via Amazon's KDP, I was skeptical. I'd written 10 action thriller novels and trashed them over the prior decade. I had zero interest in spending years querying agents in the hopes of earning a meager advance from a traditional publisher--all my traditionally published friends freely admitted they would have made more per hour operating a fry machine at Burger Barn than writing. "But when I looked harder, I saw that the numbers added up to an incredible opportunity for a prolific author willing to work hard. For the first time in history, authors could earn 70% from their books, making the business of indie publishing with KDP potentially lucrative, rather than a black hole for time and money. After some waffling, I published my first novel, Fatal Exchange, in June, 2011. Impressed by how easy the process was, I cranked up my writing engine and issued forth another seven books by December 2011. "Sales were slow to come, but built steadily, from a whopping $18 of royalties in June to $1,450 in December. In January, I joined KDP Select and earned ten times that. In February, my earnings doubled again. "I've never looked back. To date, I've sold over 600,000 books on my own, doing everything myself and loving every minute of it. I've been able to find an appreciative readership and develop a fan base, which continues to build through word of mouth. "This year I was featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and a host of online publications like Huffington Post and Forbes.com. My work has been translated into German, Spanish, and Bulgarian. I have a top-flight literary agent, and I co-authored a novel with legendary adventure author Clive Cussler. I'm hard at work on a second novel with Clive, one of my all-time favorite authors, and I will be launching a New Adult romance line this month as R.E. Blake. To say I'm living the dream wouldn't be exaggerating. "As a prominent pundit on all things indie on my blog, I've come to have a large circle of author friends, many of whom routinely earn handsome livings from their work, and most of whom have never had a breakout hit. KDP has created an opportunity the likes of which authors have never seen: the chance to join an emerging middle class of working writers, where through hard work and diligence (and yes, luck) we can earn five, six, and even seven figures self-publishing. "To say that KDP changed my life is the understatement of the year. And every month, there are more success stories joining the ranks. "It's an exciting time to be an author, as well as a reader, with a host of dynamic new voices to discover. Amazon helped launch the revolution, for which I'm beyond grateful. "Long live the book." --Russell Blake |
dustmalik:I guess you intended to say he wouldn't have been in this situation. Right? |
corpROYAL:Yeah the domiciliary account option is not fast but not costlier than WU, MG or Ria as your sender pays the transfer charges and it's 2 working days. The charge will only become high if you choose to receive into your naira account instead of your Dom, in which case your bank will rip you off at their own exchange rate. |
digitite:Arbitrage is here but I think the rate that Stagger mentioned above from Zenith Bank ATM (if true) is a better offer for you than selling to me at N150. That's my advice anyway. |
mindtricks:You need only a |
Kalet5:Do you truly know the sender as your friend or just internet friend as Solbash11 asked? Does he know you as a man or as the lady Lilian name you gave him on the courier package? It may be that as you are pretending to be a Miss Lilian to him on the web, he is also trying to scam you. If he is a known friend (and not just an unseen/unspoken internet friend), it is possible sometimes that a shipped good will be delayed for customs clearing (custom dues) but to charge 50 pounds means the cost of the laptop itself must have been very high to get that kind of charge. Besides, I am not aware of that shipping company name and wouldn't know if they operate in Nigeria. Even the known name can scam you in the name of Customs clearing charge, like DHL collected N116,000 + from me for a TV that I bought for only $1997 on Amazon last year. I wouldn't know they arrived at such value till tomorrow. |
MSNNG:Credit, debit and prepaid cards will work on PayPal and not necessarily only credit cards, as long as they are MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express (AmEx) cards. |
masonkz:I remember a lady at Standard Chartered Bank in VI, Lagos complaining about their pay. She said (pointing upstairs) only those guys up on the next floor earn big. She cited example of a guy who studied abroad and was working there for his NYSC, earning N240k. That was year 2008/2009, and I wouldn't know how much they pay now for such new level. But she affirmed that fresh starters who studied abroad are better remunerated than their Nigeria-schooled counterparts in same bank. Some upstream Oil & Gas players pay their new level entries same range depending on your job area and whether you are recruited with OND or HND/Bachelor's degree. The OND holders (junior staff - Nupeng) could be around N500k (plus or minus) while the HND/BSc entry (senior staff - Pengassan) can be around N700-N800k per month. It sometimes depends on the job area. While some job areas like Engineering, Finance, HR will start fresher on the upper band payment, some other job areas like Operations, Supply Chain may be on the lower band of the pay range for entry level. They are not usually static as they keep increasing every year based on the country's economic inflation trend. |
solbash11:After preaching what I had practised then, I have not done it again in recent time. |
Fhemmmy:I think you did. I do cashless operation. I convert your naira to dollar and send instantly to your dom account (if you have Access dom account) or by bank transfer, which will take 2 working days (if you are using other banks' dom account). |
Fhemmmy:I am still offering N166 and pounds at N275. |
piphunter:Yes I do but it's Naira account. |
felifeli:I have written on how to do this before. Search for the thread I opened on it. It is possible. |
Apart from the percentage service charge added, their exchange rate of Naira to your dollar payment is worse than GTB or other banks' rate. It's not less than N170 per dollar. |
presegsADESIDA:I placed a bid and won a 60-inch Samsung TV about 2 weeks ago. I didn't pay but allowed the seller to raise eBay unpaid item alert because I discovered after winning that the TV had a screen issue. Though its my fault for not understanding all the product stories before placing my bids. I later found another site same day that offers similar electronics products and can ship directly (worldwide) to Nigeria from the USA, though (funny enough) you cannot access the site with Nigerian IP address browser. |
gowaga68:Okay, I will let you know when I am around. |
If my rate is okay by you, I sell N195 per dollar. |
dollarking: even if u hav done deals wit 2milion people it dnt warant u to hide ur face wat do not meetin wit people 1 on 1 mean .haba o .Sorry about that. It supports CBN's cashless policy as well as saves me time in transit and convenience of transaction. |
