BusinessRe: How To Run A Successful Church Business by arbitrage: 11:29am On Oct 19, 2013
donclark: One sure way to show you have the power of God is to do miracles. Simple things like getting a job, owning a house, and getting pregnant are good raw materials for miracles. However, here you need to be careful not to commit a blunder. Don’t out of desperation announce that a man who has been blind from birth and has never known color suddenly knows which color is green and which is aquamarine. Or something scandalous like a man who has been deaf from birth and does not know any language suddenly can respond to instructions in English from someone he can’t see. Don’t try to raise the dead or fix cripples. Don’t do risky things like declaring you can cure HIV/AIDS. You just cannot come this far to fail just like that.
If you were serving the god of science and he said that his followers could remove and correct congenital problems such that the patient(s) can now use or do what they could not do from birth, will you still doubt your god of medical science? So, if such abnormalities are still being handled by expert men who put their energy into research and studies in their field of studies, why are you doubting that the Author of wisdom and knowledge (that can make His own people whole from congenital infirmities) cannot have enough power to make the healed patient also understand speech and color? Which power or miracle is greater, to heal or recreate a missing and/or deformed body or to give knowledge/understanding of color and speech? If He can heal, why should giving speech be difficult for him to do?

Have you heard before that true and genuine Holy Ghost baptism is not accompanied with speaking in learned tongues but rather in unknown language? First, change your mind concerning Him (His existence and capabilities), then you will not doubt if he could also make all things well. That is why it is called miracle and not necessarily when it takes usual learning process and period. Anyway, He decides His method of operation in His sovereignty. If philosophy and science can do wonders, God is more.

Tochi4life: Went to swap our Wimax modem with the LTE modem but didn't cos I was told that Unlimited plan is not yet available on the LTE modem I was offered 60GB for 25k but that won't be enough for us. Will wait till they bring the 30k unlimited plan.
Is there unlimited package among the existing 4G Wimax plans at all? I thought they stopped offering anything unlimited with the first roll out of outdoor and initial 4G Wimax to us not beyond 2011? My unlimited plan then used to be N8,400 per month.

I was in Swift office this evening and was surprised to see that they have been selling their new LTE modem and swapping for the older 4G Wimax modem also. The network still seems strong even now as I test again and got about 17.04 Mbps.

oh sorry. i can see you meant paying in store with card and not online. yeah most stores in the states accept our visa and mastercard. mine worked in the States, Canada and the UK so far.
BusinessRe: Are There Stores In The USA That Accept Naija Atm Cards by arbitrage: 7:10pm On Oct 16, 2013
I am not sure of any. The ones that were successful (in my past experience) were online stores of big corporations like Dell, HP and Thermaltake. May be because they are global in focus or it was allowed then as that was around 2006/7.

einsteino: Nigerians want fast and reliable internet service at an affordable rate. you didnt make mention of the cost for normal users. Most people look for FBT not because they are jobless but because they simply can not afford the present browsing cost. Any network that can provide a FAST and CHEAP internet service would boom like wild fire, because nigerians are waiting for reasonable internet plans and not the nonsense 1month 100mb for 1000naira that EMPTY HEN and co are offering(i wonder what 100mb can do for some one).
I gave them same feedback on affordable pricing plan and sustainability of speed when public are latching on to same 4G LTE network connection.

biodunid: Prices available at: http://www.swiftng.com/Products/residentialplan

I should be upgrading tomorrow.
Thanks for the update. I did not know that they have already rolled out a payment plan. But I can see that the buying link is not yet enabled because we are still testing it. My testing period shows till October 20. I wish I could finish my free 20GB by then.

BusinessSwift Networks 4G LTE: Solution To Nigerian Sluggish Internet Connections? by arbitrage(op):
As one of the 500 old timers volunteers selected by Swift Networks for testing their newly deployed 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology, I can now say that the solution to sluggish internet speed has come for individual and business users. I honestly hope that this good speed will not be because of just 500 volunteers that are on it. I hope when it is finally released to the whole public, the connection speed will still remain because I have ordered my IPTV from Hong Kong (Aliexpress) to enjoy my TV channels without relying on DSTV and co any more for their limited offerings. I may have to stop my subscription to Coollink YahClick Ka-band satellite internet connection because it is not even near to this speed.

Moreover, the LTE modem was delivered free of charge to me as a tester with 20GB data limit to test it. I opened up the package from UPS courier and discovered that the Swift 4G LTE modem is better than the existing 4G Wimax modem in many parameters. Its wireless LAN is 802.11b/g/n speed unlike previous 802.11g speed of the previous modem. The LTE modem uses embedded and removable Swift Networks USIM card, which means I can remove it and insert other mobile networks' SIM card. I have not tried this though as I suspect Huawei may have locked the modem to Swiftng only. The LTE modem also uses rechargeable battery cells that will make it work without PHCN light when fully charged at least until the battery is depleted/exhausted. Below are the speed test results of the new Swift 4G LTE internet connection. 14.10 Mbps is never seen before in Nigeria, I think.

presegsADESIDA: That is great and my only prayer now is that Payoneer should last and PayPal shouldn't just wake up anytime to disable account(s) associated with Payoneer.

Arbitrage!I will like to kindly ask you of the USA Dedicated VPN/IP provider that you make use for accessing your PayPal or do you access yours with Nigeria IP as some people claim?
Apart from work where we have usa ip network, i usually access my paypal through my mobile phone and tablet using the operamini browser. i wanted to even try opening and accessing paypal via Nigerian ip as some people claim but when i first tried checking which country paypal shows by default on their registration page when i used Nigerian ip address, one network shows Cyprus while my second Nigerian connection showed usa by default. So i did not proceed to open the paypal account yet. the two networks i tried are swift and coollink yahclick.

presegsADESIDA: You've added and confirmed the ACH bank account right?
I heard arbitrage said that one can now link payoneer directly to paypal. As in,go to PROFILE=>ADD CARD & proceed but I haven't tried that though but I believe that he cannot lie.

Try it out but I advise you get your USA Phone linked to your paypal so as to use it to call paypal before/when doing that so that they can look into whatever problem that might arise as I like doing that but it is not compulsory.
Yes, you can and below is the confirmation screen after I have added Payoneer MasterCard to PayPal and verified it.

vowiski: I am not sure you read their terms. I equally have screenshots of the activation fee and I am certainly not talking about the refer a friend program. I wonder why you are trying to discredit what you have very little knowledge of.

You can't fund your PayPal with Payoneer mastercard. Payoneer MasterCard itself is a debit card and not a credit card. You just verified your PayPal and you are already dropping unverified claims shocked. I did not start using Payoneer today and this review was carefully crafted. Thanks for your time. cheesy
Sorry that my write up sounded like discrediting to you. I thought it was just an explanation of my experience with them. Although I will guess from your subsequent postings and others' contributions that the activation fee seems to be different depending on how you got it. Your is through partner as you said later and that may be part of incentive by having cheaper activation fee. Mine is directly from Payoneer and the fee was $25. I can as well paste the screenshot to show the $25 so that people will not think it is about wanting to discredit them. I have not been too long with Payoneer but just since 2010 or there about. I got first one through oDesk before the last one directly. I still have a small token left in my Payoneer card and I can ask you to request money through PayPal from me and see me as I will send you the money from my PayPal directly uploading from my Payoneer card, just to prove to you that I do (not I think) fund PayPal from my Payoneer MasterCard. Thank you.

Godson201333: But why is it that anytime the weather goes bad then DSTV goes badhuh
That is common to any satellite communications technology. Bad or raining weather often affect the signals you get from a satellite dish be it TV or data signals.
TV/MoviesRe: DStv Raises Charges Again. by arbitrage: 7:37pm On Oct 05, 2013
McLuhan: Sincerely, I have never been overly enamoured with DSTV. Granted, I love foreign news channels, especially BBC, Sky News, and CNN. I also fancy National Geographic Wild. But I am exasperated by what I see as the exploitation of Nigerian viewers by DSTV's parent company, Multichoice. When I started working, I used to pay a monthly subscription fee of N9,000 for the premium bouquet. I did this every month for some time until I realised that I was cheating myself, since I had neither the time nor the interest to watch the pot-pourri of channels they offered - channels that ranged from the admittedly useful to the plain absurd. I then opted for less expensive bouquets until finally I left them entirely for free-to-air satellite TV providers.

My advice is if one is not using DSTV for commercial purposes and one is not a English-football freak, there is really no reason to dole out such cash every month for pay-TV viewership, except you consider it a status symbol. Get a Strong decoder instead and connect to the Joy TV franchise from Ghana or Dokpesi's DAARSAT. Alternatively, get a dongle and access various content providers free. Just my advice, though.
Is Dokpesi's DAARSAT still working? I bought it 2010 and that was the period they stopped working saying government was against them. I never watched 1 minute of their package since I bought it. I later used the decoder for free to air channels until I packed it up for others.

If you search this business thread, you will see other users who have been importing from Alibaba and Aliexpress China and they talk about importation business from China. The prices are real but the quality may not be as the western world products that you know. If you also want high quality, you may have to contact the Alibaba manufacturers to give them your needed specifications. Or else, choosing the posted advert may mean buying as it is.
