wizeboy11: any one in de houz know how to open liqpay in nigeria? please helpYou cannot open Liqpay in Nigeria directly. You simply need three (3) things to open and use Liqpay successfully in Nigeria. First, you will need a foreign IP address for your internet access, may be like VPN or opera mini on mobile devices (phones, tablets, Blackberry). Secondly, you will need a phone number that is foreign preferably of same country of your internet IP address. That means if your IP address is UK, it may be helpful to also have a UK phone number. More so, the phone number should be able to receive sms (short message service) because Liqpay will always send you a one-time code to enter while you are trying to log in or make payment or exchange. Thirdly, you will need a debit or credit card that is foreign bank-issued and preferably of the same country as your phone number, IP address and the address that you will register on your Liqpay account. |
I do not think their activation fee is just $6.95 you stated nor the monthly maintenance fee. From my experience so far, there is no monthly maintenance fee and the activation fee is $25. That is why I can say that Payoneer Mastercard is not after all free except when someone gets it through your link and after first loading/funding of the card, both of you get credited with $25 each by Payoneer. That will take care of the $25 activation fee. Also, you can actually fund PayPal from Payoneer in a way if you have linked the card to your PayPal account, such that whenever you want to make PayPal payment, you will pay from the attached card option (usually when you don't have any or enough balance in PayPal account). That will make PayPal to upload the money you are trying to pay from your attached/linked Payoneer card. That is a way of funding PayPal from Payoneer. This is unlike when you try funding or paying in PayPal from your attached Payoneer's USPS banking details, which cannot be successful but may rather "de-verify" your PayPal account. I just verified PayPal account with a Payoneer MasterCard successfully this afternoon and that confirms that you can link both Payoneer card and bank account in verifying your PayPal account. Take care. |
I just confirmed it now that you can use your Payoneer MasterCard to verify your PayPal account. I mean to say that it is not only that you can link the USPS banking details to verify it, you can also use the card number itself to link your paypal for verification. I just did after they sent their Paypal expuse code for confirmation. |
How much is your 8000W you mentioned? |
wizeboy11: gosh i hate dat liqpay verification, wat is ur fb id let me pm uPreferably communicate by email if you can drop yours. |
No websites, no product pictures. |
mayten30: so a nigerian card can be used to fund the account even when they do not accept nigerians?I am actually surprised too. I tried using other cards and only the GT cards went through successfully but other foreign cards can work too if successfully verified. You can even withdraw instantly from Skrill to a visa card (usually non-US cards because of gaming restrictions). |
wizeboy11: you can open paypal and verify it instantly with bank acct for free..1 go to us.etrade.com using a usa info., login after reg u will see you acct number..ask google for etrade routing number..1 open paypal and click add bank..[NOTE: dnt add de acct wen u are reg. for paypal finish and login normal]...after u will see verify instantly..login ur etrade from paypal..reload you paypal..u are good 2go....if you want me to open it for you i charge 2k, u can call me 08162066991 or skype: ernest.otusAre you saying anyone here can go to us.etrade.com and register a bank account and without a US Social Security Number (SSN)?

There are some Ukrainian and Russian exchangers' websites I know where you can fund your ecurrencies by card (WMZ inclusive) but your Nigerian card will not be acceptable and your IP address must match your card issued country because the payment page always transit through LiqPay.com, which means if you have Liqpay ecurrency, you should be able to exchange it. |
mayten30: so how are people now able to verify their moneybooker account?I am using Moneybookers. I opened and verified mine when I was outside the country. Part of the verification involves them posting a postal mail to you to enter the code online. I just did for another account I opened last month. I do fund my Skrill account INSTANTLY anytime from my GTBank Naira MasterCard and can transfer from my Skrill to yours instantly. Forwarding from my Skrill to my US account (Payoneer account inclusive) will take between 1 and 2 days. You can use same procedure of PayPal to open and run Skrill; that is VPN is required if you are in Nigeria as Nigerian IP will ban/restrict you. |
presegsADESIDA: You are right but PayPal works smoothly on Ebay.Yes Paypal works with eBay but not a Nigerian card. eBay owns PayPal. |
Go to www.unionbankng.com and you will see all their phone and email contacts there. I think they are having issue that they have not looked into. A friend transferred 600k from Gtbank to my union on Friday and the money did not arrive nor alert given. other transfers i did same time from union were instant, alerted and showing. So he rushed to my branch to complain as Gtbank has confirmed outgoing. they didn't want to attend to third party but when they asked him of my details, he happened to be complaining to my account officer, who knows me according to him. they responded to it and the money showed not quite long after. i tried sending from my Gtbank naira to my union dom and it showed successful sending with debit alert this week. but i never see the money in my union account till now and i am not complaining since it's not much. the best option is for you to go and complain to union bank. |
presegsADESIDA: Great one in here.If the first time loading opportunity is allowed only once, will it be a good idea for them to pursue just $1 free dollar from Facebook, rather than loading any amount they wish on to the card directly from even their Naira cards on Payoneer website? |
presegsADESIDA: Hmmm!Mr Arbitrage! You are going too hi-tech with this especially in your first paragraph. If you look at the question of your responder, you will see that he didn't understand that what you are actually advertising is how to get a static also known as dedicated internet vpn. that is why your ip address posted above is assigned that of a corporate body in the US. Your preceding info made it sound as if you are advertising a dedicated internet service provision, which i know you cannot get from a foreign provider like US here in Nigeria without having their or your satellite internet connection installed in your place. Yet the least price you can get such dish and accessories is beyond $200 not to talk of cost of subscription to data plan per month. If you subscribe to isp in Nigeria, you will still pay for vsat equipment and data plans as well. So, your readers need to understand that you are talking of changing their existing internet connection to a foreign and dedicated IP address, which could be corporate as yours and not necessarily have anything to do with the data speed of their connection. Their poor glo or mtn connection will not suddenly become fast 43.23 mbps speed just because they change their IP address through VPN service to a foreign US IP address. |
Thanks for the info but do not mistake the capacity/capability of internet connection with the actual data throughput of such connection. Apart from the Optic Fibre technology that is favoured because of its minimized possibility of data loss during transmission (because it is based on the principle of total internal reflection of optics/light in Physics), the other means you stated are fairly old in a way. In fact, the T3 connection with capacity to give 43.23 Mbps is still less than capacity of the old wireless access technology, 802.11b/g, which basically supports between 48 and 54 Mbps data speed. Talk-less of subsequent wireless protocols 802.11a/b/g/n and/or 802.11 n, with various support speeds ranging from 100 Mpbs to 300 Mbps. You can now imagine the speed that emerging wireless speed 802.11ac will support. The traditional Cat 5e, 6 or 7 LAN ethernet cable will support data from your internet source to your PC up to gigabits of speed as well and more stable than wireless access points. BUT... All said and done and no matter the capacity rating of the connection you are using, the big and important question is what is the data throughput the service provider is pushing to you? When your wired or wireless internet connection and devices can support large bandwidth of data, are they giving you anything close? Even our telecom companies that promise 3G, 3.75G, 4G or even recent LTE speed by Swift Networks' acquisition of Direct on PC mobile platform, the data throughput of most of them to us is not even near what foreign countries are offering their users at a speed between Edge and 3G. So it is not the capacity of the connection that matters, whether individual, residential, SOHO or corporate internet plans, but the data throughput of your ISP, especially when they have many of you (users) being served. You can check your actual connection data speed at speedtest.net to be sure. |
Boss Ttdiamonds: MTN has been fast lately here.. I'm sure it's the area cuz not much people are occupyin' this town at the moment..... Cuz I remembered I was in a remote area sometime ago and MTN launched for the first time their network in that area with EDGE services... I can Vividly remember I was gettin' a downlink speed of up to 190kbps there...that's of course those of us browsing in that area were not up to 30....This is not showing MTN test but WholeSale Network test or what's happening? |
This is speed capacity (or capability) of your connection (I guess you have the older 802.11b/g access point) and not the data through put of your connection. If you want to know the real speed of data through your network, go to speedtest.net for speed check just as I have for Swift tonight. It's not always like this anyway but usually poorer. Their advertised burstable speed for all their plans is even 2 Mbps not to talk of what it will be regularly. So this sleeping night just got lucky speed.

After Swift Networks acquired the mobile part of Direct on PC, they decided to use it to launch their 4G LTE technology. They want to test run for a month using 500 existing users. I applied and I was luckily chosen yesterday as I got the confirmation email. I am awaiting UPS courier for delivery of the free LTE modem and free data, but my hope is not too high because the existing 4G (which is better than other mobile operators) is not even close to the 3g network speed I received in the UK and others. |
Kindly cite examples of such stores and I will try it now. I only know of hotels abroad or car hire that will do that. |

Informative! This is the first time I am getting to know that IPTV will be consuming my data bundles. I have been searching for several weeks now for the best IPTV package that will offer me thousands of TV channels but the manufacturers and sellers are all talking of minimum of 2Mbps internet speed for connection but they never mention that it will need my gigabytes of data too. I wish BT, Sky, Virgin, Bell and other foreign media companies could come to Nigeria to operate whenever I see the package of channels, data connection and voice calls they offer in one. No such company in Nigeria offer the three services together. Imagine Virgin UK offering their packages of high definition TV channels with your internet data services (up to 100 Mbps speed) and phone call services in one box at a price that is less than what DSTV is charging for only TV channels. I felt like I wasted my money few months ago when I bought DSTV HD PVR decoder as I saw that they are still on just 6 HD channels all these years. Some IPTV boxes will offer packages of HD and even 3D channels in addition to SD in their hundreds. Do you know if Apple TV, Google TV, Roku, etc of North America can work here in Nigeria? Do you have idea of their channel list? I prefer foreign channels to DSTV channels. Some of the Arabic, Indian, Russian, Chinese and European IPTVs will offer those live sports channels (English Barclay's Premier League, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga, etc) that Nigerians even want more than DSTV is offering on Supersport. We just need better internet backbone in Nigeria. I am waiting for Swift Networks who said they are about packaging Long Term Evolution (LTE) internet speed technology. Their so called 4g is often not as fast as a mobile phone 3g speed in the UK and US. IPTV gives you unlimited coverage of channels than the monopolised DSTV. Some of the IPTV packages are annual subscription payments while some Chinese manufacturers on Alibaba and Aliexpress offer lifetime option. |
Daniel058 :I guess you are a new comer to business section. Or else you would have seen several threads on that topic. Anyway, search for threads on Paypal here and you will see the ones you can follow. You can have it free of charge provided you already have the necessary prerequisites. For instance, you need a foreign bank-issued card (e.g free payoneer mastercard) and a foreign IP address for your internet connection (e.g a phone or tablet's opera mini browser will give you that free). If you have those two, then you are good to go ahead and open your paypal account by yourself free. |
Another funny one here or should we say worthy of crying/weeping for the country: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmKgVCI7PW4&feature=endscreen Terrible! |
afrobaby: thanks for ur explanation, but am sorry,. I cant pay for a good not yet delivered in Nigeria, not in Nigeria, not in this century, its either u collect money on delivery or u give me ur company address and I come over to pick it up and pay, but do virtual business in Nigeria, mba, not interestedFrom the title of his thread, you will see that he mentioned Clickbank and digital products. Such products and sites are not physical that you can go to pick up from their office. That title simply refers to downloadable items like ebooks and other softwares that you will need to pay before download online. You can visit Clickbank website to understand better what digital products are all about. So, if it is not virtual web based products you are interested in, you may have to check other threads that talk about physical items for purchase, but be rest assured that you will not find any that will use their money to buy for you before you pay except such are selling their physical Nigerian based store items online like Jumia and Konga dot com. These other businesses will deliver at your doorstep before you even make payment but I am not sure of the source of their products if it is China or the West. |
MyUS.com is an American company and does not have a Nigerian office for picking up of your items. You can know the cost of shipping your items on their site if you have the details of the dimensions and weight of your stuff. They will tell you the price before they ship your item. The courier they use is to deliver your item at your doorstep and any additional fee that came up in Nigeria is between you and the courier company. For instance, DHL may tell you that you need to pay customs dues for items before they will deliver to you after they have cleared the item, even when customs did not say so at times. That is the crooked part of the deal on Lagos DHL side at the airport. MyUS knows nothing about that area after shipment. |
