BusinessRe: Nigerian Bank With The Best Domiciliary Account System? by arbitrage: 1:33am On Nov 25, 2013
aieromon: I wasn't allowed the option of using the Form A in Diamond Bank even when I explained that I wanted to wire school fees. I had to use a friend's account in UBA and ended up topping up his account to $100 as well as paying $70 as transfer charges. I transferred $2500 by the way.
That was not supposed to be and did you try another branch after the first refused? I guess your friend's UBA did it from Naira account. That means your friend collected $30 equivalent remaining as his charge for doing it for you or probably COT that will follow his current account by month end.

dav8id: is like paypal stop issuing the us payment service for now or i dey miss something!! I try to use my second payoneer fiverr revenue card to link the us payment service but pumpup respond that the service is temporary unavailable..have you observe that?
I have not observed that anyway but Paypal does not issue US payment service in the first place. Payoneer and others do that.

Johniky19: please ,i also need your help, am having problem of funding my payoneer mastercard because I want to activate my account at gvo hosting company. they didn't accept my gtb naira mc because of the up address. please if you can help me transfer some money to my payoneer if you are useing payoneer or you help me activate my account at gvo . this is very urgent to me. thanks
Sorry for seeing this late. Will your gvo accept paypal method? This is because funding your payoneer may take like 2 days as I have very small fund in it unlike instant payment by paypal.

sold already.
Thank you very much @arbitrage for the prompt payment.
Is that Michael? Sorry I am just seeing your postings here but thank God I got your email. I actually wished I got the paypal alert immediately you wrote me about the paypal payment instead of my needing to log in to confirm. I would have used that to surprise you within minutes instead of the 3 hours, 9 minutes it took to fulfil your order. Just wanting to beat big companies' and names' record.
AdvertsRe: Do You Want To Become An Airtime Agent For Mtn,airtel, glo, etisalat & Visafone by arbitrage: 8:18pm On Nov 22, 2013
To make it more convincing and plain from beginning, why don't you state the minimum financial commitment required as well? You only stated the technical requirements to be an agent.
BusinessRe: Samsung To Pay Apple $290m (£180m) For Copying Phones by arbitrage: 7:50pm On Nov 22, 2013
The first manufacturer of cars has lost serious lifetime money opportunity for not patenting the box like rectangular shape of cars from beginning. By now, other car makers would have been forced to either sell to us circular or oval shaped cars or pay like hell to the patent owner.
BusinessRe: I Was Told To Swear Affidavit Before I Start Geting Alerts From Bank.pls Help by arbitrage: 7:29pm On Nov 22, 2013
Receiving bank alerts is not worth the headache except you want it for a constantly paying business you want to do. Or they did not tell you that it's not free? It is not free in my bank anyway and they are fond of double alerts to increase their charge.

So, if it is just for your notification and you cannot do it from another branch with listening ear Customer service, I will suggest you simply subscribe to their internet or mobile banking. You will then be able to check your account transactions day and night by yourself.

How about shipping my products to Nigeria? Will your business handle the shipping down of the products or you only handle marketing and sales of my products? Do you help businesses in its service offering too or it's just physical product offer only?

BusinessRe: Swift Networks 4G LTE: Solution To Nigerian Sluggish Internet Connections? by arbitrage(op): 8:38pm On Nov 15, 2013
2ndOGA: ^^ The speed really is good. Look how low the ping is.

Anyone know if it's possible to get even half these speeds on Yahclick 10mbps plan? Thinking of getting that since Swift won't work outside lagos.
You should be able to get close to the 10Mbps on the YahClick 10Mbps plan since I even got (as you can see from my earlier posts) around 2Mbps on their 1Mbps plan.
BusinessRe: Swift Networks 4G LTE: Solution To Nigerian Sluggish Internet Connections? by arbitrage(op): 1:16am On Nov 15, 2013
abhosts: Typical Nigerian ISP Trend! The more customers they have, the slower the Network becomes.

I just purchased the LTE Terminal at their VI office only to realize that there is Zero Reception for Swift LTE in my Neighborhood, despite the assurances of the Salesperson that I would get full coverage. Thank God I did not do a swap with their old wireless Terminal that has very good Reception for me.
You mean you have the 4G Wimax modem and the LTE modem did not receive? That's strange. I only heard of people not receiving with the wimax and LTE modems but can still receive with old outdoor pole unit, which I started with. I expect that anywhere you have 4G wimax reception, the LTE modem should work there.

Surprisingly, I saw 4G LTE speed being advised on BRT bus on Monday by Spectranet. That means it is not only Swift in the business now. Here is Swift speed this morning:

BusinessRe: How To Pay Online By Paypal Without Having A Paypal Account by arbitrage(op): 11:51am On Nov 13, 2013
kingagropro1: @arbitrage: thanks for the info you have supplied here. Skrill doesnt accept Nigeria. Neteller the same thing, even if you use the opera mini browser. Skrill is even asking for means of identification and utility bill. Its sad enough that i even used my USA address from here in Naija. Seems some of these sites have upped their game by giving Naija a full ban of their services. I want to assume that you are still in successfully perhaps because you opted in a long time ago.

Please tell someone close to you to try do a new registration and lets see how it pans out, otherwise i may just assume that its payoneer thats still receptive of Naija for now.

Will like to hear from you with regards to these pointers.

Well done.
Sorry for the delay, I was actually banned for days here. You may be right that I was allowed for having opted in earlier because someone asked me few days ago about Google Wallet and their requirements for SSN before activation. Whereas I joined when it was still called Google Checkout and added my Intercontinental Bank MasterCard and later GTB Naira Mastercard and no SSN was required then. He is not able to use it now whereas I still logged into it yesterday to snip my account for him. So I think their requirements are changing, may be. Invariably, Payoneer seems to be the acceptable and easy one for Nigerians for now except for the limitation of funding (apart from initial loading allowed from your Naira card), which may depict the need to earn online before you can fund it. Though I can fund mine from Skrill since I have added Payoneer US banking details to it from start.

Hugo70: is it advisiable for some one to use another persons paypal for purchase wit his info and address. And again pls if you purchase some thing online wit paypal, which address will you use for delivery. Is't possible for send it to 9ja or the fake address?
Sorry for delayed response, FOD and Naijacutee put me on close to a week ban from posting. I do not understand what you mean by fake address but obviously if you use fake address in buying your stuff online, you will either get a fake product or get undelivered item result. If you are buying stuff with paypal and someone is making the payment for you, it means the item will be delivered to the payee's registered address. Although, PayPal has the option for you to add other addresses to your profile for delivery. Note that not all payment by Paypal involves physical delivery of what you are paying for to an address. Some PayPal payments are just to download soft copies while some is to pay someone for services offered like when helping you to fund your own paypal account. In any case, Paypal account will not have possibility of sending to Nigerian address since Nigeria will not be on the list of drop-down countries menu to choose from. So you can obtain the services of mail forwarding companies for what you are buying so that you can use their address or the address of your friends and relatives who can deliver to you in Nigeria after receipt of your item(s).

jascon1: How do I change my cvv2 on the back of my card. Someone got access to it and I'm scared. Pls advise!
You can never change your card code. Visa or MasterCard International is the issuer of that 3-digit security code. You can only change your iPIN (VbV - Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode) on an enabled ATM.
BusinessRe: Hi...can A Nigerian Visa Card Be Link To Paypal Account by arbitrage: 7:05am On Nov 08, 2013
akintaye: hi people..

plesase i want to know if a nigeria visa card from any nigeria bank

can be link to a paypal account....
I don't think so. The last time I did that successfully was in 2005 when I added my Intercontinental Bank dollar Mastercard. By 2007 when the card expired, as PayPal informed me of expiration and requested that I add another card, the new card from same Intercontinental Bank that I added was rejected by PayPal. That was the last of Nigerian card I know working with PayPal.

Hugo70: you never said any thing about having a USA phone no. And pls how easy it's to open dy account directly, compare to when using infolinks for example. Pls send me your E.mail/contact at my E.mail ugo678@gmail.com. Pls
If there is space required for phone number, surely you will need to use a US phone number not because they will necessarily call it but to get in touch in case there is a problem with your order and they need to reach you. They will as well reach you by your email contact.
BusinessRe: How Do I Transfer Money From Nigeria To Jamaica? by arbitrage: 12:40pm On Nov 07, 2013
brown3: bro i whent to my bank, most of the staff dont have domiciliary acount. Please can i make use of your domiciliary account or can you link me up with some one with domiciliary acount? This my contact 08172739347 or victorbrown116@gmail.com.
How could you ask the bank staff about who has dom account among them? Are you not supposed to meet customer service and tell them you want to transfer money to Jamaica from your account? Then they will tell you which form to fill for which purpose. You mean you were asking them individually who has dom account to use for you? Sure nobody will answer or do that for you. In fact, they may insist you do the transfer from your own dom except your reason for transfer is for school fees or business/services importation purposes. Those are usually the only options for them to transfer from your naira account, when they will give you CBN Form A to fill to effect the transfer.

As for doing the transfer for you from my dom, I need to know for what purpose and to who you are sending the money. I remember even advising you to ask your rcipient if there are other methods of paying them like using your Visa or MasterCard.

It's been a while I used it last. May be I will give it a try again to confirm but I'd rather use internet banking, Ubadirect than Umobile.
BusinessRe: What Is The Valid Zip Code For Nigeria? Pls Help! by arbitrage: 10:01pm On Nov 03, 2013
greggng: Lagos is 23401
Hope you know that postal code is different from telephone code? Nigeria uses 6 digits numerical postal code whereas US uses 5 digits numerical postal/zip code and UK uses 6 digits alphanumeric postal codes. Visit your post office to know it or get to Nipost website.
BusinessRe: How Do I Transfer Money From Nigeria To Jamaica? by arbitrage: 9:23pm On Nov 02, 2013
brown3: Thank you for your advice. i tried opening domiciliary acount but i couldn't meet up with the requirement. pls is there any other uption? can i use some one else domiciliary account to send the money?
Sure there are options like you paying someone who lives there in his/her Nigerian Naira account while he/she pays for you over there. Also the recipient or company can tell you their other methods of payment they want. Someone may as well use his/her dom account for you provided you both agree to his/her terms and conditions. Even your bank can do it for you with your Naira if your transaction is genuine like paying school fees or importing goods/services.
BusinessRe: Which Of The Nigeria Cards Have You Used Successfully Abroad? (URGENT)! by arbitrage: 12:39pm On Nov 02, 2013
Rexyl: meaning Union Bank doesn't charge any amount for withdrawing abroad with their visa card! That is good, is the card also minimal in exchange rates compared to others for online purchase and settlement of funds?
The rate I observed was higher than that of GTB. When GTB card was withdrawing at about N160/161 plus the usual N1000 per withdrawal, the Union card was withdrawing around N163/164 with no further charge.

BusinessRe: Making Regular Income Publishing Amazon Kindle Ebooks by arbitrage: 11:05am On Nov 01, 2013
mk82: I have searched on Nairaland and I am surprised that people are not talking about Kindle publishing. If you have been struggling to make some cash online, this may be the thing that will give you your first taste of success.
Someone actually opened a thread several months ago, if not last year, and promised to dish out the guide step by step. Many responses came in as we followed him like twitter after his preamble. That was the last of the guy on this thread. Thank you for belling the cat again.

By the way, when you talk of your numerous books, are you referring to books in terms of a book with several hundreds of pages like hardcopy textbooks and novels we see around or just few pages of articles written on certain topics of interest? I mean, must the book be of several pages with tables of contents or just article materials of few pages? Can I publish my written textbooks/novels that are awaiting publication in the KDP? Will they accept such big books since it is of hundreds of pages with academically biased contents (diagrams, tables and illustrations)?

The YahClick is more available than the Swift for me. Swift usually has frequent downtime that I wouldn't know if it is signal problem or the 4G LTE equipment whereas my CoolLink YahClick is still having better uptime. Swift has better speed.

BusinessRe: Which Of The Nigeria Cards Have You Used Successfully Abroad? (URGENT)! by arbitrage: 4:49pm On Oct 29, 2013
I have used GTBank Naira MasterCard and Union Visa cards and they worked well but not in all ATMs abroad but in all Point of Sales (POS). From my user experience in about 5 countries, I will say that both are good but in terms of charges, Union is better because each withdrawal by GTB card is followed by N1,000 charge whereas Union is followed by zero charge.
