I just read a 2011 case commentary and I'm amazed at what Nigerians can do to one another. Please for God sake, make yourself as faceless as possible on this forum, avoid the PM and WhatsApp group thing if possible before someone pick up your details and write IRCC as "concerned Nigerians/Canadians". It doesn't matter if you have something to hide or not. Good morning.

I'm sorry to say but you need to change your mentality because if you can come here and make generalizations like this then you haven't learned the real lesson this case should teach us. Which is that Canada is a civilised country were everyone has rights. You don't make decisions based hearsay or without giving the other side opportunity to defend themselves.

Who says this letter was written by a "concerned NIGERIAN/CANADIAN" and not some disgruntled girlfriend or boyfriend with a vendetta.

Who are the so called NIGERIAN/CANADIANS? Are they a recognized association in Canada with officials or representatives.

Who signed the letter because from the way i see it, if the letter wasn't officially signed by someone then it's invalid.

And if the letter was signed they have to present evidence to back up their claims.

And for a VO to make a decision based on that letter then something must be wrong.

Finally, if you decide to believe that every Nigerian is trying to bring you down then that's too bad but I don't think you should come here and give such negative advise.

$15, 531 is for family of 2 but I will advise you to have a cushion of extra $500 or more to take care of possible fluctuations.

Hello @Jenolyfavour, I feel the need to comment on your post. I think you and your spouse are more than capable of getting the maximum score in IELTS with hard work and dedication. My wife and I are age mates with you and we both have Masters, we studied and aimed for the maximum score and even though we didn't quite make it - LWRS - 8.5, 7,7.5,7.5 (my 2nd attempt), 8.5, 6.5, 7.5, 7 ( wifey), our CRS score was 456.

My point is there is no need to write TEF when all you need is 0.5 to either listening or speaking and 8 in reading which is doable.

Side note: How did you come up with the scores for your hubby. Don't you think you are selling him short?
Jenolyfavour:
Good evening family, please I am new in this trend. I haven't started anything. I have some questions to ask please?
Note: I haven't completed my masters, though I have submitted for final defence, same with my husband.
1. If I have 8777 and he has 6, 6.5,6,7.5 in IELTS
2. With 6 yrs work experience
3. Age: Early 33
4. My CRS gives 446

We all know that as of yesterday the cut off point increased to 449.

So am suggesting I start French lesson. I need to get a desirable score in six months, by then I will be through with masters and ECA at least, that is if ASU calls of the strike early enough.

My questions are
1) since this TEF is expensive, am new in French. Do you think I can make it before then? Cos I need to write it just once.

2)What should I start with? I haven't written the IELTS though. I haven't started the preparation either.
What do you think Dearies?

When you go for medicals they will measure your height and weight just take note of the results and input same.

Please only input permanent addresses no need for NYSC or University addresses.

So I just opened the form for the first time!

What!?! It's crazy. I don't even know my height, weight, eye colour etc. I'm not even sure the house I stayed in while serving has street number.

Evaluate your MBA which is your highest degree.
If you have a foreign MBA use WES otherwise ICES appears to be faster these days.

Revres:
Good day everyone.

Just got ITA and need some assistance with the following questions.

1. Is there any problem if your job overlaps with your education in personal history? If yes, I believe a LOE will suffice? It depends on the answer you gave as the date you first qualified to practice your occupation. If it was BSc while it's MSc or PGD that overlaps then YES an LOE will suffice.
2. Under Travel History - I was asked if any of my family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. (required) - My elder sister is currently based in Ivory Coast, is that a yes? In this case, family members refers to your SPOUSE & KIDS. Nothing concern you and your extended family for travel history section.

Thank you.

YES . You must inform CIC of any changes to your family composition. Except you have landed as permanent residents.
MAO1:
Hi everyone,

I am new to this thread and I have gained a lot in this short period. I have an issue which I would like the elders in the house to kindly proffer an answer or solution to. I and my wife have applied under the express entry program to immigrate to Canny - April Aor (almighty LVO). We have recently been blessed with a son. My son was given birth to in Toronto, Canada and therefore a Canadian citizen. The question therefore is: since my son is Canadian, do I still have to inform IRCC that there is an addition to the family?

Thank you all for the responses

Bank statements, office letters addressed to them or any other correspondence bearing the same address.
conebeam:

Thanks!
Any idea of those documents?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by ArcUgo(m): 9:42am On Jan 08, 2019
Oh great then I think her correct age should be used. She should be informed though. I don't believe the younger sister should complicate her application. Except she decides to exclude her entirely from her application, she is obligated to provide accurate and truthful information at all times.
DrMrsCK:

She is not in Canada. I doubt she even knows about the program. We only wanted to mention her just in case she decides to come to Canada some day.

Pls how can she provide evidence of ongoing relationship
Thanks.

You can enter the pool. The LOE should come Post ITA
Palominopeaches:
Thank you so much ArcUgo. But please when and how do I do the LOE. How do I attach it. I wanna enter the pool today.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by ArcUgo(m): 9:05am On Jan 08, 2019
If you don't mind, could you provide more information on this. For instance, is she in Canada? If she is, what program did she emigrate under? Did she mention her younger sister in her application? What age did she claim for her younger sister if she was mentioned?
I think the answers to the above would help provide a better solution to this issue.

If she is mentioned with her new DOB and they have the same mother then they have some explaining to do.

Except she is claiming sibling points, I don't think she will be required to submit Maiden name for their mother.

P.S. If I were in her shoes I would not include her in my application.
DrMrsCK:
So my half sister-in-law (shares mum with hubby) who is supposed to be the eldest reduced her age. Consequently, she is now 6months younger than her immediate younger sister.

My questions are:
1. Do we mention her in the application with her "new" DOB? Does this have any implication?
2. Is there at any point, when we will be required to submit the maiden name of their mother?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by ArcUgo(m): 8:32am On Jan 08, 2019
An affidavit plus LOE should suffice for this. I may be wrong, but I doubt if WES would be willing to correct it since they now reference date of birth from WAEC or NECO and as you have mentioned, the error came from WAEC. I don't think this should warrant further delay to your EE journey except you are not in a hurry to enter the pool. The extreme alternative may be to use ICES (if you have cheese to burn wink) and more time to wait.
Palominopeaches:
Guys please I need help!!!! I just got my Wes evaluation and found that Wes made a mistake with my date of birth. They wrote 26th May Instead of 25th May, although the mistake came from waec because that's what they also wrote on my waec certificate. Please what do I do. I'm so worried

NO it won't be an issue. What's important is for the job duties to be similar. The job title DOESN'T have to match and as you have mentioned your duties align with that of Noc 4214 so you are good to go. No need for LOE
tendertots:
Teecan and all my fellow nairalanders, I wish you all a very happy new year filled with favour and good tidings amen! please look at this and tell us what you think. You know in Nigeria, noc 4214 is not called early childhood educator. My employment letter in 2004 carried kindergarten teacher as my position. Because of this, the reference letter given to me has to carry kindergarten teacher as well. But all duties matches early childhood educator. Do you think this will cause an issue as it does not state early childhood educator as position? Abi I should follow it up with LOE?

Your Masters Degree is enough. Biko, what do you mean by free entry? undecided
overcomers001:
Hello, everyone, thanks for your helpful guidance. Pls I want to ask, is the evaluation of your highest credential enough for the free entry? Foe example being a master's holder, are you okk evaluating your msc qualification or tou have to evaluate your bachelor’s degree also for the free entry.
My reason for asking is that I discovered ICES evaluates per degree and their cost is 200 dollars per each degree.
Thanks

You don't need transcript post ITA, your Certificates will suffice.
etrange:
FOR NOUN MSc Graduates, I saw this while requesting for my transcript:

1) Please note that transcripts are not sent to individuals but academic institutions.

2) If a transcript applicant wants his/her transcript to be sent to a non-academic or corporate organisation like a bank, an NGO, an MDA, etc, he/she would have to request the organisation to write on his/her behalf to the “The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies…” in its letter-headed paper and duly signed by the appropriate Officer.

I want my transcript sent to me so I can use it as proof of studies post-ITA. Any idea on how to go about this given the conditions above?

Thanks..

Why don't you skip using WES (that's if you haven't already paid) and use ICES. It's faster and less stressful these days, no need for WAEC and no verification wahala.

P.S: Except it's a foreign MSc then go ahead. Please note that you only need to evaluate your MSc no need evaluating the rest.

Bellafinesse:
Good evening everyone, I will like to make an enquiry from the knowledgeable ones. I am about to send my academic credentials to WES but I have misplaced my WAEC certificate. What can I do please? Should I print an online result and send it with an unscratched card to WES? Also, I have a BSc, PGD and MSc. Do I have to send the transcript of all degrees to WES? Thanks.

Good day FAM!

Congratulations to everyone.

While waiting for one document or the other, I have been off this thread/nairaland for a while..reason it makes me more anxious for PPR. Then one to two days off NL and I have to read like 50 pages...haa.!

I am here for some inquiries/ guidance:
1) can I create a profile now while waiting for my husband's ECA and Ielts results? If yes, can I update the information in the profile later when the results are out? YES and YES

2) my current work experience is sufficient for 3 years or more...do I need to include my previous work history in my pre ITA profile( please note I won't be getting reference letters for all my previous work experience) NO - but you must add it to your personal history Post ITA

3) For Job titles... Should I use the NOC titles or what's appropriate for this. ABSOLUTELY NOT - please use whatever job title you have been given by your employer. It is the job responsibilities that matter.

So sorry for all my numerous questions especially if its been treated before

Regards

Good evening EE family, please I want to ask a question in relation to those that evaluated Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). My sis already has an ECA for her BSc from ICES. Can she evaluate only the CIPM with WES?
2. For the CIPM, she only did P1 which was 10papers written Feb and August, she didn't start from foundation because she already has a BSc and NIM. Will WES request for her BSc to ascertain how she qualified to write only P1? Your answers and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
